  2. I've read Provocative in Pearls last week and loved it. This book truly was a gem. Madeline Hunter is almost a "classic" in the historical romance worl and there are definitely many reasons for it.

    - Julie James Something About You
    - Pamela lare Naked edge

And the ONE book I'm particularly looking forward to :
    - The horseman's Bride by Elizabeth Lane. There is something in the cover nad the blurbs that particularly appeals to me... and I'm a die-hard cowboy stories fan ;-)

Thank you Ladies for your monthly "new releases" blog... it's very appreciated !

I'm off to work all day at my kids' school Book Fair, so I'll try to pop in if I can. Otherwise, I'll be back later today. Hope everyone has a great day!!

  8. I'm definitely looking forward to reading Sophia's, Julie's and of course, Christina's long awaited return to historicals. :)

I really enjoyed MOST EAGERLY YOURS by Allison Chase. I'm excited that she's visiting with us on the 22nd! Another historical that I just finished, but it's not listed is a great book by a debut author, THE HIGHLANDER'S SWORD by Amanda Forester. I really enjoyed it--my review will be posted Monday afternoon!

Of course, I raved about ATLANTIS REDEEMED by Alyssa Day in my review last week, but I have another paranormal by a debut author that I just finished and LOVED IT!!! It's WARRIOR ASCENDED by Addison Fox, the first book in a new series. You can check out my review when it's posted on Monday morning.

Buffie, I think you're right about the list getting longer. ;-) I know my TBR pile is getting bigger!! LOL

  9. Hey Andrea! Thank goodness for your list, don't know where I would be with out it.

I just finished reading Bound, Branded and Brazen by Jaci Burton. What can I say? I'm a fan and I really enjoyed this one. I'm still working on January and February releases and just finished Nalini Singh's 2 new Guild Hunter novels: Angel's Blood and Archangel's Kiss. I'm telling you, if you haven't read them yet - Run out and get them. I had a hard time with the hero at first - I found no redeeming qualities in him. But, Nalini has created these characters with an EDGE, and she takes her time in revealing not only their back stories and motivations, but she slowly unwraps each nuance and flaw like a perfectly gift wrapped present. The reveal is always worth the wait. Terrific new series.

On my TBR pile is Sophia Nash's Secrets of a Scandalous Bride, Alyssa Day's Atlantis Redeemed (can't wait to read Brennan's story)(Gannon thanks for the review and the recommendation for Warrior Ascended) and J.D. Robb's Fantasy in Death.

Andrea - hope the weather is a bit better where you are. Here it's dreary, rainy and cold. Perfect day to curl up with a good book!

  10. Hey, Marisa!! I think we've all come to rely on Andrea's list. :-)

I've heard so many wonderful things about Nalini's new series--I'll be adding those to my TBR mountain for sure. You are going to love Brennan's story! And I'm certain you'll enjoy WARRIOR ASCENDED. Addison has a brilliant career in front of her! And as a fellow Roarke lover, it goes without saying that you will devour FANTASY IN DEATH. *g*

    ReplyDelete
  11. Gannon - I thought of you and Kati immediately when I read Nalini's books because I know you'd love them! I'm still jealous that you had Roarke before I did... but I'm planning on rectifying that VERY soon. I just hit 'purchase' at Amazon for Warrior Ascended - looking forward to reading it.

I am DYING To read Julie James' new one though. My finger is itching to press the Kindle buy button for immediate gratification..."must practice restraint, must practice restraint..." I'll probably cave by next week :)

  22. Scorpio, I have Naked Edge on my tbr and will be buying the Nash and Maxwell books. They're two of my favorite authors.

I'd probably be miles in debt if I owned a Kindle. Much too each to just press that button to buy!

  23. Maureen, I hear you on leaving winter behind. Today is beautiful and very spring-like. Sure wish it would stick around for awhile!

  24. Janga, I'll probably end up getting all of the books on your list. I'm really looking forward to reading Magnolia Wednesdays. I loved Wax's The Accidental Bestseller.

  25. Oh cool! new reads. I'm really looking forward to reading "The Wild Marquis, Bound by Temptation, & The Marriage Ring" ^^

I've actually already read "The Sky is Everywhere -- Jandy Nelson". I won it as an early read from goodreads. I'll admit i really didn't like the book. The girl does things with her sisters ex-boyfriend that is beyond forgivable not soon after her sister died. I don't want to spoil things, but you can catch my review of it here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/79392289 If your interested.

  26. There are 2 that I am eager to read because they are next in the 2series I have been reading:
THE MARRIAGE RING by Cathy Maxwell
SECRETS OF A SCANDALOUS BRIDE by Sophia Nash

I also want to read Julie James' next book SOMETHING ABOUT YOU because her first 2 books were delightful.

I have never read a Cathy Linz book, but I'd like to start with this book because it sounds great: MAD, BAD, AND BLONDE
