New Releases for July

Summer is in full swing and many authors, aspiring authors, and readers are gathered together in the Big Apple right now for this year’s RWA conference, including our very own PJ. I know that she is having a ton of fun and I can’t wait to read all about her adventure and view her pictures, of which I’m sure there will be many. :) I had a blast at last year’s conference and am really looking forward to attending the 2013 conference that will be held in Atlanta. Needless to say, I’m already saving up for it. *g*

July brings us another month of hot, new releases! Believe it or not, I have not read a single July releases yet. I know! I’ve been busy with vacation and work and kids... Though, I am looking forward to Lorraine Heath’s Waking Up with the Duke and Christina Brooke’s debut, Heiress in Love, which I have heard so many good things about. Oh, and thanks to Gannon’s review, I want to read Black Ties and Lullabies by Jane Graves. It sounds cute!

Which July releases have you read? Of those, which ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to reading? Tell us and one lucky commenter will win a random book from my prize stash!

Until August, happy reading!

  4. Gads! So many new books. I've not even managed to purchase my TBB list from LAST month! Guess I'll be adding to the list again :)

  5. As always, thanks for compiling this list for us every month, Andrea! :)

And I agree that the Lorraine Heath book sounds great. I know, quelle suprise right? lol. But I went on such a binge at the RWA Literacy signing that I think I'm going to be busy tackling the books I bought on Tues. for quite a while! But since it's for charity, I don't have to feel guilty, hee.

  6. Unfortunately, I haven't read any of the latest releases.

I do want Jane Feather's next as I'm reading Rushed To the Altar. Also Meredith Duran's next as I'm reading Wicked Becomes you next. Then Christie Ridgeway's Can't Hurry Love as I have the first two in this series.

I always buy Lorraine Heath's books and Lori Fosters (Savor the Danger). I'm anxious to read Christina Brooke's Heiress In Love.

I'll read Linda Lael Miller's new Creed series.

There were several more that I will buy eventually Catherine Mann, Merline Lovelace, Give Me the Texas Outlaws anthology...

    Love your reviews! THANKS!

Loved by a Warrior – Donna Fletcher

  8. I’m glad I have a July birthday. Gift cards will make it easier to buy all the books on my list. :)

I’ve already read and enjoyed four (fewer than usual because I’m on deadline):
Silk is for Seduction – Loretta Chase
Waking Up with the Duke – Lorraine Heath
Dangerous Lord, Innocent Governess – Christine Merrill
    Heartbreak Creek – Kaki Warner

And I’m currently reading A Lady’s Lesson in Scandal by Meredith Duran.

Another 16 are on my TBR or TBB lists, and there are some others I’ll probably check out as time and book budget allow. I’m particularly excited about The Secret Mistress by Mary Balogh, The Devilish Montague by Patricia Rice, Black Ties and Lullabies by Jane Graves, Sunset Bridge by Emilie Richards, Can’t Hurry Love by Christie Ridgway, and One Summer by JoAnn Ross because they are by authors whose books I usually love and parts of series in which I’m already invested.

I’m also looking forward to these:
Heiress in Love – Christina Brooke
The Summer Garden – Paullina Simons
The Angel in My Arms – Stefanie Sloane
    Shameless – Anne Stuart
Baby, Come Home – Stephanie Bond
Burning Down the Spouse – Dakota Cassidy
The Creed Legacy – Linda Lael Miller
    Just Let Go… – Kathleen O’Reilly
    Dandelion Summer – Lisa Wingate
    Inside – Brenda Novak

My dream vacation right now is a cool spot with mountains in the background, an unlimited supply of iced tea with lemon, and long, lazy hours of uninterrupted reading.

  17. Hey, Lisa! The reason I want to read Lorraine Heath's book (besides the fact that I love her books) is because the plot is very intriguing and I'm dying to see how Ms. Heath handles it and how it all transpires!

And yes, buying books for charity = guilt free! :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thanks, Laurie G! Wicked Becomes You is the Meredith Duran book I have in my TBR pile. You'll have to let me know how you like it!

  19. Don't feel bad, gamistress66. I'm still behind from last YEAR. Honestly, it's a blessing and a curse to be an avid reader. It's a blessing to have so many books, but a curse to be so behind in reading them!

  20. Happy Birthday, Janga! I love gift cards, too, and still have plenty left from last month. :) And I hear you on the dream vacation! It has been WAY too hot in Georgia lately...and it's only the beginning of summer...

Yes, Na! You know, every summer I say to myself that I will make more time to read and I never do. I seem to read so much less during the summer as there are so many things to do with my kids while they're out of school. :)

Janet Chapman's MYSTICAL WARRIOR is a definite on my list. I have the other books in this series and will have them all.
