New Releases for February

Yay, February is here! It is one of my very favorite months—not because of Valentine’s Day (though that is a good reason), but because my son’s birthday is mid-month. We’re actually celebrating his birthday tonight since it’s the only time that my family’s busy schedules mesh. :) So, it is pizza and red velvet birthday cake tonight! Yum! What’s your favorite party food?

Also, this month…it’s the February releases! Which ones have you read? Of those, which ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to reading? Tell us and one lucky commenter will win a random book from my prize stash!

Until March, happy reading!

  1. I'm looking forward to Heather Snow's debut and Cindy Gerard's "Last Man Standing." It's the last book in her Black Ops Inc. series.

  2. I am reading The Capture of the Earl of Glencrae – Stephanie Laurens, right now. Also going in the TBR will be My Wicked Little Lies – Victoria Alexander, A Lady Never Surrenders – Sabrina Jeffries, The Lord of Illusion – Kathryne Kennedy, and Sex, Lies and Valentines – Tawny Weber. Gotta love income tax time, I will have a book buying binge when the bills get paid...LOL

  3. I've only read "Last Man Standing". I would recommend it. Stephanie emerged as a smart, agressive, take
charge of your life person whom I
admired. Stoic, taciturn Joe goes off on a one man
cusade against an evil politician with disasterous results. Luckily, Ex -girlfriend Stephanie comes to the rescue.

I'd like to read Jillian Hunter, Victoria Alexander, Lorraine Heath,Deidre Martin, Jo Lieigh, Step Bond, Leslie Kelley and Michelle Rowan. Finally , your recommended Manda Collins!

  4. Such bounty! There really is something for every romance reading taste.

I’ve already read seven on the list: Ravished by the Rake – Louise Allen; How to Dance with a Duke – Manda Collins; She Tempts the Duke – Lorraine Heath; A Lady Never Surrenders – Sabrina Jeffries; Can’t Stop Loving You – Bette Ford; Secrets of the Lost Summer – Carla Neggers; and The Summer Garden – Sherryl Woods.

I have another eleven on my TBR or TBB lists. Lucky Penny – Catherine Anderson; A Scandalous Countess – Jo Beverley; Secrets of an Accidental Duchess – Jennifer Haymore; Sweet Enemy – Heather Snow; The Garden Intrigue – Lauren Willig; The House on Butterfly Way – Elizabeth Bevarly; Sonoma Rose – Jennifer Chiaverini; Home Front – Kristin Hannah; Last Chance Beauty Queen – Hope Ramsay; Sex, Lies and Valentines – Tawny Weber; and A Little Night Magic – Lucy March. I’ll probably add a few more before March rolls around. LOL

  6. Hi, Andrea--Wow, what a list! I've already read Last Man Standing, which was fabulous and had a preview in the back of Cindy's next series, One Eyed Jacks.

I've also read Tawny Weber's Sex, Lies, and Valentines, a great windup for her trilogy.

Ditto Sabrina Jeffries' A Lady Never Surrenders, a wonderful story that uses the social customs of the period to complicate the lovers' dealings.

I'm on pins and needles, as always, for the next Eve Dallas and prepared to seriously envy whichever of the Dishes reviews it.
