New Releases for December

December is finally here! The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is upon us and keeping us all busy. As crazy and stressful as it can get, don’t forget to take time for yourself and, well, read a good book! J There are so many to choose from this month.

I have read Twilight with the Infamous Earl by Alexandra Hawkins and thought it was the perfect ending to Hawkins’s Lords of Vice series! Right now, I am reading No Good Duke Goes Unpunished by Sarah MacLean and I can already tell it will be a Top Read for 2013 for me! Wow! So good! I’m looking forward to Suzanne Enoch’s The Devil Wears Kilts and Erin McCarthy’s Full Throttle.

Which December releases have you read? Of those, which ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to reading? Tell us and one lucky commenter will win a random book from my prize stash!

Until January, happy reading!

  4. I haven’t read any of these yet because I’m finishing some later November releases such as “The Sum of all Kisses” by Julia Quinn and “The Governess of Highland Hall” by Carrie Turansky. However, my TBR list is overflowing and I couldn’t be happier! Can’t wait to tackle the December list!

    1. Don't feel bad, Connie. I still haven't read JQ's yet! I wanted to read Sarah's before I saw any spoilers. Unfortunately, someone ruined it for me. But, it's still a GREAT book!!!

  8. I’m late because my ISP has been down since the wee a.m. hours. :(

No Good Duke Goes Unpunished is one of my top reads of the year too. If I'm the one who spoiled it for you, Andrea, I am s-o-o sorry. I just responded to Hope's comment without thinking and felt terrible as soon as I realized what I had done.

Other December reads that got high marks from me include Connie Brockway’s No Place for a Dame (I adored every syllable), two historical novellas by recent TRD guests: Lost in a Royal Kiss by Vanessa Kelly and Kisses, She Wrote by Katharine Ashe, and the free short “Finding Kate” from Sarah Addison Allen. The latter left me hungry for Allen’s new novel, Lost Lake, which will be released on January 21. I also liked Barbara Longley’s A Change of Heart a lot.

The Devil Wears Kilts by Suzanne Enoch, Gentlemen Prefer Mischief by Emily Greenwood, Finally Home by Lois Greiman, and Morning Glory by Sarah Jio are on my TBR list.

  9. I did not see it on you list, Andrea, but a must read from this month is Connie Brockway's "No Place for a Dame." I was lucky enough to get an advance copy and this book is not to be missed. It is Connie at her very best; I can not recommend it highly enough!
Also, I just ordered Sarah MacLean's "No Good Duke Goes Unpunished," and cannot wait to get it.

  10. I have a huge weakness for historical romance, and devour anything that I can read. Some of the books that I'm looking forward to are:-

No Good Duke Goes Unpunished by Sarah MacLean (This one is top of my least, and I'm desperate to read it, as I've read the other books in the series).

The Devil Wears Kilts by Suzanne Enoch (I love her books, and she always keep me entertained).

Highland Master by Hannah Howell (Gotta love those Highlanders in those sexy kilts).

Gareth by Grace Burrowes (I want to take all of those lonely Lords home with me). I've fallen in lust, err, I mean love, with each one.

Twilight with The Infamous Earl by Alexandra Hawkins. (Love her Lords too, and want one for myself ).

I could go on and on, but had better stop now. Thank you for the chance to win.

  17. I'm starting Tom Clancy's Teeth of the Tiger today, and I suspect the book will keep me busy the whole month. But from the line-up, Sandra Hill's new book (a friend's been singing praises for her viking series) and Kicking It anthology are heading the wish list.
