6th Anniversary Celebration - - Who's On Your Keeper Shelf?

Double RITA Finalist, Patience Griffin signing the shirt

How many author signatures can you fit on a tee shirt? You don't know? I do! How, you may ask, would I know the answer to such a random question? By running hither and yon during the 2015 RWA National Conference in New York City last summer, asking authors to please sign my "Who's On Your Keeper Shelf" tee so that this week, in celebration of The Romance Dish's 6th Anniversary, I could give that shirt to one of you!

Jo Beverley, Cara Elliott & Joanna Bourne signed!
That's right, fellow romance lovers. One of you lucky readers is about to become the owner of an awesome tee autographed by more than 125 amazing published authors! We're talking some big name authors here. There's Lisa Kleypas, Robyn Carr, Eloisa James, Sarah MacLean, Virginia Kantra, RaeAnne Thayne, Mary Jo Putney, Julia Quinn, Jodi Thomas, Sherry Thomas, Karen Hawkins, Meredith Duran, Sabrina Jeffries, Elizabeth Hoyt, Vicki Lewis Thompson, Stephanie Laurens, Carolyn Brown, Julie James, Tessa Dare, Teresa Medeiros, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, and more, more, more!

And here's the finished product!

Front of the shirt

But there's more.

Here's the back!

So, dear readers, tell me...

Who's on your Keeper Shelf?

What will you do with the Keeper Tee if you're the winner?

Whose autograph would you most like to have?

One randomly chosen person leaving a comment on this post no later than 11:59 pm (EST) Thursday, November 5th will be the new owner of this awesome, autographed Keeper Shelf tee.

    1. I know, Hellie. I have a shifting keeper shelf too. Some are non-negotiable (JAL's Pennyroyal Green series, for example) but others come and go.

Glad you're enjoying the giveaways. I tried hard to come up with fun stuff. I'm surprised you didn't see me running all over RWA waving my tee shirt and Sharpie! ;-)

  3. Awesome thing about e-books, is that my Kindle has tons of rooms so I don't have to get rid of any I like. But Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters series and Kristan Higgans are on my keeper shelf

    1. Yes! I had to get rid of a lot of books when I downsized from my big house to my little condo. That's when I started buying in digital. I still have print copies of some favorites (signed, mostly) but I've transitioned to ebooks in a big way.

      Love Brockmann and Higgins!

  4. Oh, my Gosh! What an amazing prize. I would be so tempted to wear this fantastic shirt as I have met many of the authors featured on it. It's a real conversation piece. So many of them are on my keeper shelf, I wouldn't know where to begin. PJ, you must have had the patience of Job to collect so many.

  5. What a great prize! If I told you who is on my keeper shelves, I'd be way over the word limit for a comment. Suffice it to say all those pictured, eighteen of those you named, and seven on Hellie's list that you didn't name plus many more are on my list. And it keeps growing.

  7. WHAT A GREAT PRIZE!!!! My keeper authors, Diana Gabaldon, Romily Bernard, Lisa Kleypas, Jude Deveruex, Linda Lael Miller, and I have the 1st romance novel i ever read (at the beach when I was 13 yrs old) Velvet Chains by Constance OBanyon (all yellowed and dog eared and I wouldn't trade it for anything)
If I win the T I will frame it and put it in my office.
And the autograph I'd most like to have is Constance Obanyon (but I'm not sure if she's still with us) Though she will always be in my heart and helping me write good romance.

Thank so much for this opportunity!!!!
    Have a happy evening :)

    1. How awesome that you still have the OBanyan book! I wish I'd thought to keep the first romance I bought. The first one I read was from the library.

      Thanks for stopping by, Tamara!

  9. Happy Birthday to The Romance Dish and to the Fabulous PJ !!

And WHAT an awesome prize !!

On my keeper shelf? Anna Campbell, Diane Gaston, Julia Justiss, Madeline Hunter, Sabrina Jeffries, Loretta Chase, Mary Balogh, Eloisa James, Ann Lethbridge, Miranda Neville, Cara Elliot - the list goes on! I have so many wonderful books on my keeper shelf and they are my go to drug when I am having a bad day or when I want to relax and escape for a while.

What will I do with the shirt? Why frame it, of course! And hang it in my writing studio as inspiration. I would have to use one of those two sided frames so I can swap it back and forth to give everyone equal time.

I have so many autographed books and they are my treasures, but I have never managed to get Mary Balogh's autograph. I have a hardbound copy of Slightly Dangerous I bought specifically to have her sign should we ever meet.

Happy Anniversary again and I wish The Romance Dish many, many more years of celebrating the romance genre!

What will you do with the Keeper Tee if you're the winner?
I think I'll frame it. Although I'm not sure how, since it's signed on both sides.
Whose autograph would you most like to have? I have Sabrina Jeffries, and grace Burrowes, I'd really like Jo Beverley.

Most of the people you listed above are on my keeper shelf (Lisa Kleypas, Robyn Carr, Eloisa James, Virginia Kantra, RaeAnne Thayne, Mary Jo Putney, Julia Quinn, Elizabeth Hoyt, Julie James, Susan Elizabeth Phillips), along with Mary Balogh, Julie Garwood, LaVyrle Spencer, Catherine Anderson, Sarah Mayberry, Karina Bliss, Nora Roberts, Terri Osburn and many more I can't remember off the top of my head.

  19. My keeper shelf, hmmm well I don't think I can list them all, but here are a few.
Eloisa James, Julia Quinn, Lisa Kleypas, Shelly Laurenston, JR Ward, Alexandra Hawkins, Elizabeth Hoyt.
There are so many more! If I won the tee I dont know if I would frame it, or stick it on the top shelf of my book shelf. That is where I have all my signed books :)

  20. Good heavens! 125 signatures on a T-shirt? If I were the lucky winner I would never actually wear it but it would be displayed next to my bookshelves of romances. Some of of the authors on my keeper shelf are Diana Gabaldon, Joey W.Hill, Sherry Thomas, Thea Harrison, Tessa Dare, Lorraine Heath, JR Ward, CL Wilson, Larrisa Ione, and Joanna Bourne. I am undoubtedly forgetting loads of names but these are the ones that came to mind after a long day at work. I could not choose just one autograph that I would most want, that would be impossible for me to decide.

  30. Unfortunately, when I'm done reading a book, it must move on to new hands. I just don't have room for 'keepers'. Plus, the fact is I have so many books waiting to be read, I just don't have time to re-read anything.

That signed t-shirt is an awesome prize! I would love to win something like that especially when I saw at least 5 of my all-time favorite authors on their. Ladies like Eloisa James, Julia Quinn, Sabrina Jeffries, Stephanie Laurens and Lisa Kleypas, just to name a few....there are more I'm sure. I would wear it probably only once because I wouldn't want to wash it too often, I would treasure it and probably frame it! LOL

  31. Who is on my keepers list is not easy. I am sure I will miss some. Robyn Carr, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Susan Mallery, Nora Roberts, Jayne Ann Krentz, Julie Garwood, Sandra Brown, Linda Lael Miller, Emily March, Christina Dodd, Debbie Macomber, Julia Quinn, Tessa Dare, Sabrina Jeffries and many more. As for what I would do with the shirt, probably frame it and put it in my 2nd bedroom. It is where I tend to read. Who's signature would I like to get is a hard question. I have some but I think Debbie Macomber's is one that I would love to have.

  32. I have been reading romantic suspense and regency novels for over fifty years. I love Mary Jo Putney and Stephanie Laurens, but I read a lot and cherish classic stories with plot and developed characters. I still reread Mary Stewart and Jane Austen. Today's authors continue the tradition proudly. Thank you. I would probably not risk wearing the shirt and preserve it and place it on view amongst my book collection.

  34. What an incredible prize! My keeper shelf - Sergeanne Golon (for the incredible Angelique series), Doris Lessing for Shikasta, Stephen King for just about everything, Larry Niven, Dianne Duvall - I have eclectic taste but I automatically head for science fiction - just needed more romance (hence my niche!)

  36. Wow - you got so many on there! I would like Quinn, Kleypas, and Alexander just to name a few. I've always wanted Jim Butcher's but he wasn't there with the ladies - lol. I would treasure that shirt! No pit stains on that one.
