It's hard to believe but this crazy year is already half over. My travel plans have all been cancelled and I'm pretty much living my life as a hermit these days but, at least, there have been some amazing books to keep me company while I isolate. And, the rest of the summer looks to be filled with more great titles. Here's what's on the schedule for July here at The Romance Dish.

Thursday, July 2 brings a review of The Footman and I by Valerie Bowman. This historical romance launches Bowman's new The Footman's Club series.
On Monday, July 6, I'll be sharing my thoughts about Rough Creek by Kaki Warner. This book marks Warner's transition to contemporary western romance and launches her Brides of Rough Creek Texas series.
The charming The Best Man Plan launches Jaci Burton's Boots and Bouquets contemporary romance series and is the subject of my Wednesday, July 8 review.
Stop by Thursday, July 9 for the cover reveal of The Marriage Pass by Briana Cole. This African American women's fiction thriller is scheduled to be released February 23, 2021.
Friday, July 17, I'll be sharing my thoughts about Paris is Always a Good Idea. This contemporary women's fiction novel by Jenn McKinlay is scheduled for a July 21 release.
Thursday, July 23 brings an excerpt of Duke Looks Like a Groomsman by Valerie Bowman. This is the second book in Bowman's new The Footmen's Club, historical romance series about three titled gentlemen posing as servants and finding love in the process.

ReplyDeleteThe year is half over and if feels as though I have lost so many months. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. That is what keeps me from running screaming through the streets...actually I am more able to limp quietly through the streets...but you get my drift.
One thing that keeps me cheerful, I believe this is a time when we can make our world a better place.
I hope that everyone is taking care and staying safe.

I am looking forward to more family time, accomplishing some projects around the house, and reading of course. The new Valerie Bowman series has caught my eye. Titled gentlemen posing as servants sounds like a lot of fun.

ReplyDeleteBookwise: I have Valerie Bowman's trilogy on preorder (except for The Footman and I which is already on my ereader). I've also got Sarah MacLean's Daring and the Duke; Joanna Shupe's The Devil of Downtown; Caroline Linden's About a Rogue; and Anna Campbell's The Highlander's Forbidden Mistress. I was seriously conflicted over which to read first so I decided to read in the order they showed up on my Kindle app. Totally not making a decision, but it'll work. :-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great selection for this month. There is something to appeal to everyone. As usual you have some great historicals. You also have some of my favorite contemporary authors - Kat Martin, Kaki Warner, and Jaci Burton. In the non-book area, I want to finally finish my poor neglected flower beds. They were overrun with vines and weeds. I have spent weeks trying to dig them out (one is 100 feet long and I am barely anywhere with that one) and am finally able to plant some of them. I hope to have all but the big one weeded and planted this week. I already have to reweed the two beds I did get planted. It will be so nice to sit on the porch and enjoy them.
