Or is it pertinent to go all the way back to the *very* beginning of these books?
As for animals and kids in books, I don't mind them if they feel realistic to the story and characters Bella@BeguileThySorrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05723984443831411184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-57166953240040768.post-62322990598014009742011-08-22T09:21:23.956-04:002011-08-22T09:21:23.956-04:00I enjoy pets more than children in romance books.I enjoy pets more than children in romance books.gigihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16340695421297618723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-57166953240040768.post-2657437408269901962011-08-22T01:11:19.303-04:002011-08-22T01:11:19.303-04:00If they are totally relevant, that's fine. Lets face it, those of us who have them know they can drive us nuts at times, but they add so much to our lives. Properly incorporated into a story, they can add much to it.
I am a few series behind in my Miller books. I cannot have pets at all so I love reading about them in a good book. Some authors even use them as a trademark in their writing. It sounds as if they are vintage Miller. Great review, PJ!

I like kids and pets in romance so long as they have a purpose beyond props and don't detract from the central story. I feel that if a hero and heroine show patience and compassion for both children and pets, they become a true and loving couple. Anyone with no patience for children and pets is not someone I care to read about as that places them in the same category as someone with no conscience.

Connie Conniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03217408544219883095noreply@blogger.com
