Coming Attractions & Giveaway - - December 2025

It's here! The final month of 2025 has arrived Wow, that went fast. Anybody else feel like we were just celebrating New Year's? Life is still a bit complicated at my house so you'll find the number of December offerings a bit light this year. Don't worry though, what we lack in number this month we make up for in quality.

Launching the month on Thursday, December 4 is a review of Christmas Wishes of Love by Julie Johnstone. I love next generation stories and this newest Medieval Highlander tale from Johnstone ticked all my happy reader buttons.

Reviewer Nancy will be here on Friday, December 5 with a review of Ember Eternal by Chloe Neill. This new Romantasy launches Neill's Souls Burn Brightest series.

Join me on Monday, December 8 for a review of Mistletoe in Park City by Hope Holloway and Cecelia Scott. This third book in their Christmas in the Canyons quartet brings more family, romance, and hijinks to a story I didn't want to put down.

Former childhood friends are reunited as work rivals in The Love Audit by Lucy Eden. Work and family complications lead to a fake newlyweds trope, small town goodness, and a second chance for a real happily ever after. Stop by Wednesday, December 10 for my review.

Friday, December 12 brings a review and giveaway of The E.M.M.A Effect by Lia Riley. Pair a nerdy computer scientist with her best friend's hot, hockey-playing, younger brother then fill the story with both humor and heart? Yes, please!

Reviewer Nancy returns with a review of Christmas at the Ranch by Julia McKay on Wednesday, December 17. This contemporary romance takes readers to Wilder Ranch with a second-chance romance for a woman fleeing family scandal.

Visit us on Friday, December 19 for a review of Santa Cutie by Jenny Alexandra. This spicy holiday romance bubbles over with laugh-out-loud humor and heart-tugging emotion.

Jump start your holiday week on Monday, December 22 with a review of Shaylin Gandhi's Love Letters for Other People. Gandhi's debut (When We Had Forever) is one of my top books this year. I can't wait to dive into this new one!

That's what's on the blog schedule (so far) this month. What books are on your December reading radar?

What holidays will you be celebrating in December?

Do you have any special plans?

One randomly chosen person who posts a comment before 11:00 PM, December 5 will receive a print copy of Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey.

  1. I’m shocked because I have not read any of these authors. Very unusual.
I’ve been reading Christmas themed books by Sarah Morgan, Debbie Macomber, Carolyn Brown, Mary Balogh, Victoria Alexander, Grace Burrows and several historical romance anthologies.
We will celebrate St Nick’s with gifts for the grandchildren. Hopefully seeing 2 of my sons over Christmas break. We’re trying to work out a time that works for both families.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to those who celebrate.

    1. A few of them were new to me too, Laurie. If you like Medieval historicals, I highly recommend Julie Johnstone. Her books are auto buys for me. Also, don't freak when you see that this new novella is #11 of a series. It introduces a new generation and works well as a standalone.

  3. I've got a ton of holiday romances on my TBR that I hope to make a dent in this month. We've got birthday celebrations for my husband this weekend. My daughter and her wife are finally making the move out of state in January. With the jobs waiting for them, they might not be able to make it back every year for Christmas, so we will be making the best of it this year.

  4. Sounds like a busy month for you. I have a stack of Christmas reads that I am looking forward to read. I celebrate Christmas. I will be spending it with my family, making precious memories with them. So excited!

  5. Just finished (in audio ARC) Love Letters for Other People. I thought the premise was utterly ridiculous, but I still loved the book. She's a beautiful writer. And her When We Had Forever was only her debut "romance." I read and loved her Wildflowers at the Edge of the World and By the Light of Embers several years back. Merry Christmas reading, P.J.! (The Love Audit was very good, too.)

  6. The books all look captivating. December is always a busy month. Chanukah, my birthday and my son's birthday the same day and fun baking latkes, gifts and games.

  7. I am excited for this month's coming attractions! All of these books sounds great. We celebrate Christmas, just me, my husband and our 2 daughters. We don't plan anything special, my husband worked for our county road commission before he retired, so we always knew not to plan anything because he usually ended up working on Christmas Eve and Christmas day!

  9. This year has just flown by. 2025 has had more downs than ups and I am hoping 2026 will be a bit better. Your year is finishing with two things getting worse and another getting a bit better. I hope things improve for you and you can enjoy the holidays.
There may be fewer books, but they are good ones. I will be looking for Christmas Wishes of Love and look forward to the reviews of Mistletoe in Park City and Christmas at the Ranch. Love Letters for Other People sounds interesting. I have a pile of Christmas books I hope to find time to read this month.
Take care. I hope things get a bit less complicated for you.
