It's hard to say good-bye to a family that you've come to love and that's certainly the case with Meader's fire-fighting Dempsey foster siblings. These five stories (3 books - 2 novellas) have been some of my favorite contemporary romances of the past few years and Wyatt's story takes them out on a high. Sizzling with passion, Wyatt and Molly's journey to love also delves deeply into emotions previously held in check as these two (especially Wyatt) learn to open their hearts to love, trust, and the vulnerability that comes with accepting someone - lover or family - into your life without reservation. Sparking the Fire can be read on it's own but I won't be surprised if, by the time you turn the final page, you're so intrigued by the other Dempsey siblings that you immediately buy their books as well. You can't go wrong with any of them!

Nobody is mentioning that!

When Alex rescues Eli from a fire at a downtown hotel and sparks fly between them at the press conference, Eli's campaign manager convinces him that "dating" Alexandra is exactly what he needs to resurrect his flagging re-election campaign. Eli is the consummate political animal and Alex's mouth has no filter. You have to know this is going to be fun. And it is! It breathes new life into Eli's campaign but he may have bent the truth a bit (okay, a lot) to convince (blackmail) Alex into agreeing to the scheme. The desire between these two is off the charts and once they start spending time together, their fake relationship starts to become all too real. And when they finally give in to all that pent-up desire? Well, let's just say there's a good chance they're going to set the whole city on fire. Her brothers are going ballistic, Alex's co-workers aren't any happier, and this wasn't at all what Eli's team had in mind. Then there's the little fact that Eli's been lying to Alex all this time. When the truth finally comes out, things get really hot in Chicago!

I am so enjoying Kate Meader's Hot in Chicago series! I've been anticipating Alex and Eli's story since they first hit the pages in Flirting With Fire and it's everything I had hoped for. These are two complex characters with multiple layers who are made for one another, in the bedroom and out. I love how they challenge one another. I appreciate the honesty between them. The rapid-fire banter sizzled and led to (fanning myself) some burn-the-sheets-up scenes that did not disappoint! But mostly, I like that they ultimately love and accept one another for who they are, flaws and all. Isn't that what we all hope to find?
