New Releases for May

Hello, all! I can’t believe May is already here! It seems like only yesterday that my kids were getting out of school last May, and now they are again. And this year is an emotional one as it’s my daughter’s last year of elementary school. I’ve had a child in that school for the last ten years, and I’m not handling “the end” very well.

Speaking of “the end,” I have decided it is time to hang up my blogger and reviewer hat. With everything I have going on with my kids and all of their many activities, work, and my family (both sisters getting married this year), I feel like I need to give my full attention to them. I am sad to be leaving my sweet friend, PJ, and the rest of my TRD family, but I know it’s for the best. I am so grateful to have been a part of such a wonderful blog with PJ, Buffie, and Gannon. I will never forget the memorable times we shared both in person and in cyberspace. I am also grateful for our terrific team of reviewers: Hellie, Janga, J, Lisa, and Nancy. And I am so grateful to you, our dear readers, for all your support throughout the years. It means more than you know.  So, my friends, I will say good-bye…for now. I will miss you all!

New Releases for April

Hello and Happy April! I am thrilled that the weather is warming up, but I’m not happy about the abundance of pollen. Sigh. My sinuses are going crazy! What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods?

My daughter and I are still on our dystopian young adult reading frenzy. We just finished the Legend trilogy by Marie Lu and loved it! They are really great books. Next up for us is the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. We are looking forward to reading the first book, Divergent, during spring break next week. J

I’m thrilled that March is here because I am beyond ready for SPRING!! How about you? I’m also thrilled because my wedding anniversary is in March. This year marks 17 years with my sweet husband. J It’s also time for new releases to hit the shelves! I haven’t read much romance lately because I’ve been really enjoying reading with my daughter. We tore through the Hunger Games trilogy and just recently finished a similar-type series by Joelle Charbonneau called The Testing trilogy. All are great books! We’re trying to decide what series to read next. But, there are a few romances coming out this month that I am really looking forward to reading: Meet Me at the Beach by V.K. Sykes, Once and Always by Julia Harper,  Diary of an Accidental Wallflower by Jennifer McQuiston, and Mistress Firebrand by Donna Thorland.

It’s February! And it’s cold. And I don’t really like the cold. The only good thing about cold weather is being able to curl up under a blanket with a really great book. We're lucky to have so many to choose from this month! I’m currently reading a book with my daughter (The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau) and we are really enjoying it so far. We tore through the Hunger Games series and my daughter liked it so much, she wanted something similar. J As for romance, I’m really looking forward to reading Julia Quinn’s The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy, Jaci Burton’s Quarterback Draw and Laura Lee Guhrke’s Catch a Falling Heiress.

New Releases for December

Yay! December is finally here! The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is upon us and keeping us all busy, I’m sure. As crazy and stressful as it can get, don’t forget to take time for YOU and read a good book! Snuggled up on the couch at night in my quiet living room is one of my favorite places to read. To be able to gaze at my beautiful Christmas tree while I’m doing that makes it even better!

I have not read any December books yet, but Sarah MacLan’s Never Judge a Lady by Her Cover is at the top of my list. I can’t wait to read it!
