It’s February! And it’s cold. And I don’t really like the
cold. The only good thing about cold weather is being able to curl up under a
blanket with a really great book. We're lucky to have so many to choose
from this month! I’m currently reading a book with my daughter (The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau) and
we are really enjoying it so far. We tore through the Hunger Games series and
my daughter liked it so much, she wanted something similar. J
As for romance, I’m really looking forward to reading Julia Quinn’s The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy,
Jaci Burton’s Quarterback Draw and
Laura Lee Guhrke’s Catch a Falling
Heiress.
Which February releases have you read? Of those, which
ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to reading? Tell
us and one lucky commenter will win a random book from my prize stash!
Until March, happy reading!

ReplyDeleteCatch a Falling Heiress – Laura Lee Guhrke
The Devil Takes a Bride – Julia London
The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy – Julia Quinn
The First Kiss – Grace Burrowes
War of the Wives – Tamar Cohen

If the Viscount Falls – Sabrina Jeffries
This Old Homicide – Kate Carlisle
Firelight at Mustang Ridge – Jesse Hayworth

A Perfect Catch – Anna Sugden
Sweet Surprise – Candis Terry
Two that get my highest recommendation are not on your list: Rise by Karina Bliss, which is on my Best of 2015 list, and Megan Frampton’s delightful Valentine novella When Good Earls Go Bad. I’ve also been raving about Grace Burrowes’s first contemporary series, Sweetest Kisses. I’ve read not only The First Kiss, the new release, but also A Single Kiss, the first book, and Kiss Me Hello, a March 3 release, and loved them every one. I adore the Knightley brothers, although Mac, the hero of Book 3, may be my favorite. Fans of contemporary romance should definitely add this series to their must-read lists.
Janga, I just checked out Grace's contemporaries and they sound like something I would LOVE to read! Adding them to my list now. Thanks!

Great list! Enjoy them, patoct!
DeleteIsn't it interesting that there are so many historical fiction stories out? How, exactly, do they differ from a historical romance? A historical perspective, but not much romance in the book is what I'm presuming?
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading JQ's book!
Yes, Deb--historical fiction with little to no romance. Enjoy JQ's!!
DeleteI'll be reading Kat Martin's Against the Sky but there are so many others too that I want to read with historicals and suspense being my top two genres right now.
ReplyDeleteLet us know how it is, catslady!
DeleteI'm currently reading The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy by Julia Quinn.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, Kim!!

ReplyDeleteYou and me both, Cheryl. LOVE her books!
DeleteI loved Earls Just Want to Have Fun, by Shana Galen. It had great characters and lots of wit and warmth throughout. I think it's her best yet.
ReplyDeleteFrom the rest of the list, I'm looking forward to reading the newest books by Quinn, Burrowes, and Robb. Thanks for the post.
All the books looks great Earls just want to have fun
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of them - yet. I do have Grace Burrowe's book, but I'm trying to wait until all 3 in the series are out before reading them ( I"m weird that way especially when they are being release so close to each other.) Which ones do I want to read?? Pretty much all the historical and contemporaries, as well as quite a few of the paranormal and romantic suspense. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have not ready any yet. Once more I go straight for the Historical reads.
ReplyDeleteI'm finishing up Just In Time For A Highlander and enjoying it. I'd love to read :
ReplyDeleteBurned by Karen Marie Moning
In His Keeping by Maya Banks
First Kiss by Grace Burrows
A Memory of Violets by Hazel Gaynor
Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
Just to name a few. :)
