We're halfway through RWA 2017 and, so far, it's been wonderful. It's also been exhausting but who needs sleep when you're meeting your favorite authors, right? Last night, we celebrated the best of 2016 published books with the RITA awards. It was exciting, nostalgic, and tear inducing. The theme of the ceremony was friendship and, I have to say, I've seen that theme carried out in numerous ways throughout this conference. Click here for a list of last night's winners: RWA WINNERS
Here are a few candid shots from last night:
Toni Blake always looks stunning. |
RITA Finalists Laura Lee Guhrke and Julie Anne Long |
The always stunning Heather McGovern, Elizabeth Michels, & Sally Kilpatrick |
The very talented Victoria Vane who MADE that dress! |
Beverly Jenkins, the very deserving recipient of the Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award |

ReplyDeleteLooking good ladies.
ReplyDeleteWhoops, that anonymous was me.
ReplyDeleteI have so enjoyed seeing everyone's pictures that they have posted on Facebook. I also enjoyed watching the live stream of the RITA awards. It made me realize how much I wish I was there. All of this boils down to how PROUD I am of each and every author out there no matter what their genre. The incredible work, dedication, and passion that goes into an author's book is simply extraordinary. Thank you, authors, for the pleasure, education, and love you give your readers. You all rock!
ReplyDeleteI loved being able to watch the Ritas. Laura Lee Guhrke, Beverly Jenkins, Linda Goodnight, and Virginia Kantra all made me cry. I can only imagine how much greater the excitement of actually being there was. I love your photos PJ. I'm also loving Avon's live videos on FB. I saw you entering the room for Avon's author signing on one. Fun!
ReplyDeleteFor those of us that can't be there - thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteLove these pictures! So many beauties in one place. I'm so jealous!
