Coming Attractions

It's August! In my corner of the world, summer vacation is winding down and children are preparing to return to school.    August is also Read-A-Romance Month. Follow along each day during the month as Bobbi Dumas features sixty-two romance authors and their books. It's a fun event with lots of giveaways. Here at The Romance Dish, we'll hit the ground running with plenty of fun author visits, blog tours, book reviews, and giveaways. Here's what's on my August schedule.

Janga introduced me to the books of Anne Gracie many years ago so it seems only fitting to share my thoughts about Gracie's newest historical romance, Marry in Secret, a book dedicated to Janga, on the first anniversary of her passing. Stop by Thursday, August 1 to learn more about Marry in Secret

Friday, August 2 brings my book blitz review of Kate Meader's newest hockey romance, Good Guy. This contemporary romance launches Meader's spin-off, standalone Rookie Rebels series and is filled with the sass, steam, and heart for which Meader is known.

The Avon book tour for Sarah MacLean's Brazen and the Beast stops at the Dish on Monday, August 5. Stop by to read what I have to say about this second book in MacLean's Bareknuckle Bastards historical romance series. I'll give you a hint. It's one of my favorite books of 2019.

Laura Trentham has a new series and it's so much fun. Visit us on Tuesday, August 6, for my blog tour review of A Highlander Walks into a Bar, a fun and flirty contemporary romance set in northern Georgia, with a Scottish flair.

Maisey Yates is back with a book I've been eagerly anticipating. The prodigal daughter returns when family black-sheep, Vanessa Logan comes home to Gold Valley and runs straight into emotionally-wounded cowboy/firefighter, Jacob Dalton. I'll be sharing my thoughts about their story, Lone Wolf Cowboy, on Wednesday, August 7

I'm excited to host the Kristan Higgins, Life and Other Inconveniences blog tour on Thursday, August 8. I'll be sharing my thoughts about this newest contemporary fiction novel, sure to be filled with heart-tugging emotion. Don't you just love that cover?

Tessa Dare is back with a brand new book and I can't wait to read it! Stop by Monday, August 12 for my Avon blog tour review of The Wallflower Wager

Thursday, August 15 brings Melissa Foster's Montlake tour to the Dish with my review of Call Her Mine. This will be my first book by Foster and the first in her new Harmony Pointe series. I love discovering new-to-me authors...and I really love that cover. There's just something about a guy in glasses.

I have fallen in love with Kimberly Kincaid's Remington Medical series and am eagerly anticipating Connor's story. Visit the Dish Friday, August 16, when I share my thoughts about book three in the series, an enemies-to-lovers story: Between Me & You

On Monday, August 19, I'll turn the Dish spotlight on Shadows at Dawn, a brand new novella in Kat Martin's Maximum Security, romantic suspense series. There's sure to be plenty of danger and sizzle!

And rounding out the month is the How to Catch a Wicked Viscount blog tour. Stop in Tuesday, August 27, to read my thoughts about this new historical romance by Amy Rose Bennett that launches her The Disreputable Debutantes series.

Tell me what you're looking forward to this month! One randomly chosen person leaving a comment before 11:00 PM (Eastern), August 2, will receive a package of books from my conference stash.  (U.S. addresses only)

  1. I have my copy of Brazen and the Beast by Sarah MacLean. I really enjoy her writing and I loved the first book in this series. Right now, I'm binge reading the Playful Brides series by Valerie Bowman. There are 11 books in this series and I have them all! I'm just starting book #4 The Irresistible Rogue. Very good series and it goes without saying, I love Valerie's writing too!

  18. You have such great books listed for this month. I am a big fan of historical romance and you have selected books by some of my favorite authors with one new to me. Unusually, the contemporaries on your list are OK but not something I am interested in. Not so this month Kat Martin and Kristin Higgins are favorites. I am familiar with Kate Meader and Melissa Foster and the other two are new to me. Just about every book on the list appeals. It will be a month of getting and reading more books. More additions to my TBR Mountain and Wish List.
