  1. Haven't read any June releases yet - it's only the 3rd and they were released only yesterday. :D The one I'm most looking forward to is Married by Morning by Lisa Kleypas. I stumbled across the Hathaway sisters' books a few month ago and fell in love with them! Lisa's writing style is easy breezy and makes me laugh out loud. Very entertaining after a hard day at work.

  2. I too haven't read any June releases yet, but I'm most looking forward to Sandra Hyatt's third release in June: His Bride for the Taking. I absolutely loved her first two books (Having the Billionaire's Baby; The Magnate's Pregnancy Proposal), so I hope I love this one too. It isn't a "given", as sometimes I like a bunch of one author's books and yet don't like another bunch of that same author's. Go figure.

    As always, thanks for offering such great giveaways!

  3. There are so many books listed, would have no idea where to begin.
    I just finished Married by Morning, could not put it down and can't wait for the next book later this month. Need to start, Julia Quinn and Kris Kennedy and my need to get now authors: Anna Campbell, Johanna Lindsey, Sally MacKenzie to name just a few. There are so many authors that I have never read, my tbr pile just keeps getting bigger.

    Have Fun

  5. I read "The Naked Viscount" and "Seven Secrets of Seduction." Both were great reads and I've been fans of both Sally MacKenzie and Anne Mallory for a while now. I also read Nancy Gideon's "Masked by Moonlight." I'm definitely looking forward to reading Lisa Kleypas, Karen Rose and Shannon McKenna's new releases. Shopping and going to the movies are some of my favorite summer activities(and all year round.)

  6. Hey, I've got a couple of these in my TBR pile. I'm looking forward to Tessa Dare's ODWAD and Julia Quinn's Ten Things. I've been a little disappointed with JQ's last 2 books as if they were rushed and almost forced in the writing. Not a lot disappointed, just a tad.

    My fave summer activity after a year of teaching is just going with the flow. But, we are terribly busy with softball games, appointments, swimming lessons, and a class for me. It's just great to be home and enjoy life.

  7. I read Julia Quinn's this week and loved it. It was very endearing--as good as anything she's written, I think.I'm working on a novella deadline and am trying NOT to read, but I can see I will be tempted. ;)

  8. I read Julia Quinn's newest, 10 Things I Love About You, and I absolutely loved it! Sebastian Grey is a hero to die for and I think I did, a little bit.

  9. I haven't read any June releases yet but there are a whole bunch of great ones that I can't wait to read from Julia Quinn, Lisa Kleypas, Carla Kelly and Joanna Bourne. I am looking forward to growing my garden and taking a trip to the beach.

  10. THIS is why my TBR pile never gets smaller! There are always so many great books coming out! I am especially eager to read When Marrying a Scoundrel, His at Night, and Shut Up and Kiss Me. My favorite summer activity is to read at the beach.

  11. I've read Tessa's One Dance with a Duke, JQ's 10 Things, and Lisa Kleypas's Married by Morning. I was really looking forward to Cat and Leo's story, and Lisa did not disappoint! The sparks were flying the whole way thorough. One of my favorite parts of the book was Leo testing Cat's brain function by kissing her, then asking her questions, lol.

    JQ made me fall in love with Sebastian and Annabel, and had me laughing the whole way through, though Sebastian's uncle totally gave me the creeps.

    I really enjoyed the first book in Tessa's new series. Spencer was definitely a bit of a lost and wounded soul, and the Stud Club mystery was intriguing. Can't wait for the next two books!

  12. Good morning, LilMissMolly! (Love your name, btw) I picked up several of these that were released on May 25 and have already read a couple. And I love Lisa's writing, too! She's one of my favorites. :)

    Hi, Laney4! I've not read anything by Sandra Hyatt. I take it I'm missing out? lol And I totally agree with you on an author's work being hit or miss. It can be a bit disappointing when that happens. Enjoy your June releases!

  13. Hello, Melanie! I have read Lisa Kleypas's and Julia Quinn's. Both were amazing reads. How can you go wrong with so many favorite authors in one month?!

    Howdy, Helen! Sorry, I guess it's actually almost winter on your side of the world. Hope you get to curl up with some HOT reads to warm you up!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Jane, I have Anne Mallory's on top of my TBR pile and up next for me. I cannot wait! She has quickly become one of my very favorite authors. Her writing just gets better and better. Glad to hear her new one is great!

    Hey, Deb! You know, I was a tad disappointed in Mr. Cavendish, I Presume (I prefered The Lost Duke of Wyndham), but absolutely LOVED What Happens in London. And Ten Things is a terrific read, imo. I really enjoyed it. :)

  15. Hey, Maggie! I totally agree about JQ's. Good luck with your deadline...and the temptation! ;-)

    Yay, Margay! Oh, I loved Sebastian, too. He's one of those heroes that I will never forget. Never.

  17. L!!! Oh my gosh, I loved that part, too! I was laughing and sighing the whole time. LOVED Leo and Cat's book. Loved it. Can't wait for Beatrix's! (Not too long!)

    And in JQ's, wasn't the part towards the end in Annabel's chamber with her grandmother just too funny?! I was laughing out loud! Loved it, too.

  18. I am waiting for my copy of Anna Campbell's, My Reckless Surrender to arrive & then I will pounce on it! LOL.

    The new Kleypas, Bourne are on my buy list, too.

    Drinking iced coffee & going to the beach are my favorite summer activities.

  19. I’m reading My Reckless Surrender by Anna Campbell right now and I’m loving it!!! Toni Blake is one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read Sugar Creek.

    There are so many great books by my favorite authors coming out this month….it’s gonna be a fun summer!!!

  20. wow. So many awesome releases. I haven't gotten to read any of the june releases but i do have the new Julia Quinn book on my to-read pile. ^^

    My favorite summer activity is coincidently reading outside or in the woods. Nothing can beat the feeling of wind on your face as your turn the page of a book. Therefore is something so blissful about reading outside that i can't even explain. It's why i get more books read during the months of May-october than i do any other time of the year. ^^

  22. I've already read Sugar Creek, Toni Blake; The Forbidden Rose, Joanna Bourne; My Reckless Surrender, Anna Campbell; One Dance with a Duke, Tessa Dare;
    Married by Morning, Lisa Kleypas;
    Tempting a Proper Lady, Debra Mullins; Ten Things I Love About You, Julia Quinn; Welcome to Harmony, Jodi Thomas; His at Night, Sherry Thomas; and Honeysuckle Summer, Sherryl Woods. I had lots of four and five star reads in that group.

    My TBR stack boasts another six June releases: Shut Up and Kiss Me, Christie Craig; Marrying the Royal Marine, Carla Kelly; The Irish Warrior, Kris Kennedy;
    Tempting the Marquess, Sara Lindsey; Seven Secrets of Seduction, Anne Mallory;

    I made a note to check the library for some of those new-to-me women's fiction authors on your list. I'm already way over on this month's book budget. :)

    My veri word is "aggritar." Is that a farmer who plays the guitar?

  32. Melissa, I think you'll enjoy JQ's! I love to sit outside in the breeze and read, too. Living in Georgia, I usually have to do that either early in the morning or in the early evening. lol

  38. Andrea,
    I loved that scene too! "If you don't leave by the morning, I'll tell everyone you spent the night with ME." And the revelation about Uncle Percy? YIKES!

    As for my favorite summer activities, I love all the fresh fruit you can get in season, there's nothing like it, especially white peaches. I also enjoy the longer days, more sunshine, and just sitting outside with friends at the end of the day, drinking some wine and having a good time.

    And the traveling! I hope to be able to go to New York and D.C. sometime this summer.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I've read a few of these already, but there are soooo many more I'm looking forward to. My book budget is getting very large. *g*

    ReplyDelete
  40. I've not read any new releases but I'm most interested in the new Anna Campbell!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I haven't read any yet but I am so excited that Susan Donovan is coming out with a new book! It's been a while. I love her writing and have all of her novels. Seriously can't wait.

    Summer is such a great time for new books. Put on you sun hat, catch some rays and lose yourself in a romance. What could be better?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Loved Leo and Cat's story, it was worth the wait, now one of my favorite by Kleypas. L,that was a great scene in Married by Morning. Such fun with all their sniping and bantering, but also the emotional depth that comes out in the end as they both let go of their past traumas, and stop avoiding the strong feelings between them. I also liked when he bought her a new pair of glasses, taking time with the design to make them special for her. Highly recommend this one.

    Quinn's Ten Things was fun, too, Sebastian wins you over right from the start. I did like the Sherry Thomas, wonderful writing as usual, but I liked the Quinn more (Sebastian is such a fun, appealing guy, won me over). Marrying the Royal Marine, very good, as usual from Carla Kelly.

    So many of those historicals and paranormals I want to read soon as I can. Time Weaver and My Reckless Surrender and Tessa Dare's next up for me to read in the pile. Need to get the Bourne this week for sure, and the Kris Kennedy. Eventually, I'll get to just about all of those historicals and paranormals.

    I'm really looking forward to the Nancy Gideon new series a lot. I read her Midnight series years ago, which got me into vampire romances along with Maggie Shayne, so great to see her with a paranormal book again.

  53. I have been looking forward to STROKE OF GENIUS by Emily Bryan. There are so many others on the historical list that I am looking forward to reading. I already have or of them on my TBR pile.

    Summer is a time for travel, which we are doing now. None of the places have had free WIFI and the public computers are limited to 15 minute sessions. Makes it hard to visit my favorite sites and check email. Love working in my gardens and sitting on the porch with an iced tea and read a book. Hope you are all having a good start to the summer.

  54. Which June releases have you read?
    I'm just getting out to get my reads this weekend so I've only gotten one so far and I'm recommending it
    !
    Of those, which ones do you recommend?
    Definitely ASSASSIN'S HONOR by Monica Burns. I'm reading this now and its an absolutely fab start to this new series of hers! If you like unique paranormal romance, this is so one!

    Which ones are you most looking forward to?
    I love June! And this one has so many great ones coming out! I have so many on my wishlist that I'm limiting to the first 5 I'm yet planning to get! THE FORBIDDEN ROSE by Joanna Bourne, THE DEVIL SHE KNOWS by Diane Whiteside, FORBIDDEN HIGHLANDER by Donna Grant, FADE TO MIDNIGHT by Shannon McKenna and THE DARKEST PASSION by Gena Showalter.

    And what is your favorite summer activity?
    We have an enclosed screen in our yard and I so love to go out there with a lawn chair and sit out and read. Love the breeze and it keeps the bees out! Even in the evening, my hubby lights the candles that keep the bugs out and we love to just relax and chat!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I have "Sugar Creek" by Toni Blake on top of my TBR stack. So many books, so little time. I can't wait to read "Hot Finish" since I read the two previous books in the series. Sexy, hot -- yes, but with real detailed, loveable characters.

    I also want to get my fat little fingers on "Crush On You". Heck-I want them all! I wish they'd stop making books for a couple of months so I could catch up!
