New Releases for May

May is here and my flowers are in full bloom! Though I think spring went right by us because it already feels like summer here in the South...which means I’ve been spending my reading time indoors. And speaking of reading, it’s time for my list of New Releases! So far, I’ve read Follow My Lead by Kate Noble, and boy, was it terrific! If you haven’t read Kate’s books, you really need to change that. Her books are on my permanent keeper shelves. I'm currently reading Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart by Sarah MacLean and loving it!! All the other books I want are going to break my wallet, but naturally, I’m okay with that. *g* My other “must haves” include: Midnight’s Wild Passion by Anna Campbell, When Tempting a Rogue by Kathryn Smith, Cloudy with a Chance of Marriage by Kieran Kramer, A Tale of Two Lovers by Maya Rodale, and of course, Summer at Seaside Cove by Jacquie D’Alessandro.

Which May releases have you read? Of those, which ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to reading? Tell us and one lucky commenter will win a random book I picked up from last year’s RWA conference in Orlando!

Until June, happy reading!

  14. Andrea,
As always, we are in mind meld as far as books go! I am currently devouring Maya's A Tale of Two Lovers and next up is Sarah's Eleven Scandals.

Also on my list is Leanna Renee Hieber's Perilous Prophecy of Guard and Goddess, and JQ's Almost Like Heaven, though it comes out at the end of the month and I think it's technically a June release. I'm also very interested in the Kate Noble and Jacquie D'Alessandro books. Other than that, it's tacking my monstrous TBR pile!

  23. There are a bunch of good ones out this month so my list is long and at the top is Eleven Scandals and Breaking Point.

    ReplyDelete
  24. What a great list! I can't wait for: Maya Rodale, Vanessa Kelly, Sarah Maclean, Anna Campbell, Jacquie D’Alessandro, Kate Noble and I think I might be missing a couple lol. There are so many great authors who have books out this month.

  25. I think May has more great romance/women's fiction new releases than the typical month.

    I've already read:
Midnight’s Wild Passion – Anna Campbell
Dangerous in Diamonds – Madeline Hunter
My Favorite Countess – Vanessa Kelly
Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart – Sarah MacLean
Nowhere Near Respectable – Mary Jo Putney
    Quicksilver – Amanda Quick
Any Man of Mine – Rachel Gibson
A Turn in the Road – Debbie Macomber
    Heartache Falls – Emily March
    Moonlight Cove – Sherryl Woods

I'm reading Defiant by Kris Kennedy now.

    On my TBR shelf are:
Cloudy with a Chance of Marriage – Kieran Kramer
Touch of a Thief – Mia Marlowe
When Tempting a Rogue – Kathryn Smith
Face of Danger – Roxanne St. Claire

Still on the TBB list are:

How to Marry a Rake – Deb Marlowe
Follow My Lead – Kate Noble
The Midwife’s Confession – Diane Chamberlain
Summer at Seaside Cove – Jacquie D’Alessandro
The Butterfly’s Daughter – Mary Alice Monroe
The Beach Trees – Karen White
What Happened to Goodbye – Sarah Dessen

And I can't miss Wendy Wax's Ten Beach Road or two new mystery releases: Kate Carlisle's Murder Under Cover and Miranda James's Classified as Murder.

Now if I can find time to read another 14 books plus a half dozen ARCs for reviews and Maureen Batista's The Kraken's Mirror and a couple of other April pubs. But such a lovely problem to have.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I say this every month, but where will I find the time to read all of the books that I want?! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Andrea - I loved Follow My Lead - but I have to say my top picks so far are a toss up between Sarah Maclean's Eleven Scandals and Maya Rodale's A Tale of Two Lovers! I honestly didn't think Sarah's books could get any better, but this is definately my favorite out of the three scandal books - and there is plenty of scandal! As for Maya's book - again, another scandal based book - she makes Lady Whistledown seem tame! Both are keepers for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm impatiently waiting for Breaking Point and Eleven Scandals! I think I have to call in sick for one or two days so I can read them uninterrupted when they finally arrive! lol But there are so many other great books, too. I think the May releases are spoiling us!

    ReplyDelete
  29. You have a lot of great reading ahead of you, Maria!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Maureen, I'm not a huge fan of romantic suspense, but Breaking Point looks good!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Antonia, your list looks A LOT like mine!!

  32. Janga said: I think May has more great romance/women's fiction new releases than the typical month.

They must be gearing up for summer!

But such a lovely problem to have.

Janga, that is the BEST problem to have!

  33. Gannon, we won't. But, we'll keep on buying, won't we? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  34. Dtchycat, Sarah's will surely be one of my top reads for this year. I couldn't agree with you more--her writing gets better and better. I can't wait for her next series. Should be good! And now I really can't wait to read Maya's, too! Thanks!

Midnight's Wild Passion, Untamed Highlander, Defiant, Cloudy With A Chance Of Marriage, The Guardian, Touch Of A Thief, Follow My Lead, One Magic Moment, Happily Ever After In The West, The Last Warrior, Face Of Danger, and Rivals In The Tudor Court.
That is good for a start I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm definitely excited about Beverly Barton's release. I'm a fan of her romantic suspenses.

    ReplyDelete
  47. As usual, I want just about all of the historicals, paranormals and UF. I must read Kate Noble and Nalini SIngh's Kiss of Snow soon as I can get my hands on them.

Meanwhile, two tops reads for me this year from this month -Sarah MacLean and Hunter's Dangerous in Diamonds (loved the whole series, this one the best for me, and on my 2011 best reads, too.).

Won Defiant, waiting for it to get here as I love Kennedy's medievals. So far I've managed to get in the TBR: Feehan's Savage Nature (been waiting for Drake's story from his previous appearance in the series and saw a really good review for this one). Also, have Quicksilver and the Putney, and Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison (great buzz on this one around, new author for me).

    ReplyDelete
  48. No problem, Virginia. I'm behind in my reading, too!
