Review - - Barefoot in the Rain

Barefoot in the Rain
Barefoot Bay - Book 2
By Roxanne St. Claire
Publisher:  Grand Central - Forever
Release Date:  October 30, 2012

The last place Jocelyn Bloom wants to be is Mimosa Key but when the celebrated life coach is named the "other woman" in the highly publicized marriage breakup of Hollywood's sweetheart couple, she has no other choice.  At least, she assures herself, she can hide out in Barefoot Bay, the tightly controlled resort owned by one of her college roommates, and won't have to go anywhere near her childhood home, where her estranged father resides, and the painful memories that await her there.  Life, however, has other plans for Jocelyn.

Will Palmer and Jocelyn Bloom were next door neighbors and best friends.  Will knew Jocelyn's father, the local police chief, had a short fuse and his room above the garage was her safe harbor from the domestic abuse that nobody in town ever suspected.  The summer after graduation, they were looking forward to bright futures - college and, hopefully, for Will, a career in professional baseball.  They were also struggling with the deep attraction that had simmered between them, unacknowledged, for years until that final, sultry night when they began to open their hearts to the feelings that had always been there.  But their happy ending was sidetracked by her enraged father and that night ended with devastating consequences, secrets, sacrifices and a separation that changed the course of both of their lives for the next fifteen years...until the morning Will arrives at Barefoot Bay where he works as a custom carpenter and discovers someone who isn't supposed to be there.

Any doubt disappeared.  Along with common sense and years of rationalization and a decade and a half of telling himself he had no choice - even though he knew differently.
Everything suddenly changed at the sight of Jocelyn Mary Bloom.  The sun was warmer.  The air was cleaner.  And his heart squeezed in a way it hadn't for fifteen years.

The attraction between Jocelyn and Will is immediate, intense and as complicated as ever.   Jocelyn is  shocked to discover that Will not only has a close relationship with her father, Guy Bloom but that Guy in no way resembles the abusive father from whom she fled all those years ago. Suffering from Alzheimer's, he has become a sweet, if confused, old man who lives for reality television, thinks Will is his beloved son and is certain Jocelyn is the advance person for a home makeover show.  To Jocelyn, he's the source of pain and deep, bitter feelings that have been her constant companion for the past fifteen years, the reason she keeps her emotions tightly controlled and refuses to lower the walls around her heart, the reason she sacrificed a possible happy life with the boy she loved to keep him safe from her father's brutality and the man she intends to stick in a nursing home as soon as possible.

Will never intended to develop a friendship with Guy when he returned to Mimosa Key but the man living next door in no way resembles the person he used to be and slowly, over time, they began to forge a family and a love between them grew.  All of that could be over in a instant, however if Jocelyn shares with Will what happened after she was dragged from his room all those years ago.  Then there's the "other woman" charge.  The Jocelyn he knew would never have involved herself with a married man.  Has she changed that much or is there another reason she's refusing to publicly clear her name?

St. Claire has penned a deeply emotional story of second chances and choices; choosing to open one's heart to love, choosing to forgive - or not - and the choices we make when faced with the devastating disease that impacts so many of us.  She doesn't pull any punches and I appreciated that.  Is it possible to forgive someone who abuses us or someone who abuses someone we love?  What if Alzheimer's robs that person of all their memories?  What if it changes their personality; turns them into a sweet, loving man who would be shocked and devastated by his former actions?  Tough questions. We all make choices in our lives and one of the most difficult choices a person can make is to forgive someone who has hurt them.  That is one of the choices Jocelyn - and Will - will face in this deeply thought provoking story and the answers don't come easily.

I'm a huge fan of Roxanne St. Claire's romantic suspense novels and, admittedly, was disappointed when she announced a change of course to contemporary/women's fiction.  I should have had more faith in her.  It really doesn't matter in what sub-genre she's writing.  She consistently creates compelling, emotional, character-driven stories that keep me reading late into the night and refuse to leave my mind weeks after I turn the final page.  I give Barefoot in the Rain my highest recommendation.  It's not always an easy read - there will be tears and anger along with the laughter - and I'm sure not everyone will agree with the decisions Jocelyn and Will make but, as someone who has had first-hand experience with Alzheimer's,  I found their journey - and decisions - realistic and their story (with a happy ending), immensely satisfying.

Why do I love small town romance? Well, because it’s nice just to sit back sometimes and enjoy life without the craziness of a big city. I’ve lived in both, big cities and small towns and I liked both of them. When reading, I don’t have a preference; it really just depends on my mood at the time.

Even when I’m writing, sometimes I like the big cites, the far off mountains, or a small town like Holiday, Montana. I have a new series by that name that is all about the small town with some holiday paranormals to sweeten the pot. You see, Holiday myths aren’t myths at all in Holiday, Montana. No, they’re real, and people are just starting to understand that.

In the first book, Charmed Spirits, Matt Cooper is the youngest of the Cooper brothers and has always known magic exists. After all, the girl who left him had been a witch. Jordan Cross is coming back to Holiday to find out if she can handle the looks, the speculation, and the attitude. Oh, she will, she’s stronger than most, but it’s seeing Matt that may change things.

With living in a small town, there are no secrets. (At least that’s what they think anyway.) Jordan was ostracized as a kid because she was different. At least that’s what she thinks, anyway. In the small town of Holiday, people have a lot to answer for toward Jordan, and some will do it willingly…some…not so much. Even though all of that might not sound nice, that doesn’t mean small towns are horrible. No, people are there for each other, no matter what. And the Cooper brothers are in the center of that. No matter what happens in Holiday’s future, the Coopers are there to stay and to help when needed. That’s why I like small town romance. The people. The romance.

Charmed Spirits
Holiday, Montana Book 1

Jordan Cross has returned to Holiday, Montana after eleven long years to clear out her late aunt’s house, put it on the market, and figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Soon, she finds herself facing the town that turned its back on her because she was different. Because being labeled a witch in a small town didn’t earn her many friends...especially when it wasn't a lie.

Matt Cooper has lived in Holiday his whole life. He's perfectly content being a bachelor alongside his four single brothers in a very small town. After all, the only woman he'd ever loved ran out on him without a goodbye. But now Jordan’s back and just as bewitching as ever. Can they rekindle their romance with a town set against them?

Warning: Contains an intelligent, sexy witch with an attitude and drop-dead gorgeous man who likes to work with his hands, holds a secret that might scare someone, and really, really, likes table tops for certain activities. Enough said.

EXCERPT:

“Have you seen the house yet?” Matt asked, his brows furrowed.
She shook her head and took her Coke and gum back with a small smile to Mr. Clancy. “Not yet. I was on my way over there. I just wanted to stop by for a drink.” She squared her shoulders and started toward the exit.
“You might find more than you bargained for if you want to get out quick.”
Jordan stopped and pivoted toward him. “Why? It should only take a few days to clean it out then slap on some paint, right?”
Matt shook his head and put his thumbs in his belt loops—too sexy. “Your grandmother got real sick at the end, and none of us knew.” Sadness washed over his face, and Jordan held back any similar feelings. “It may take more than you anticipated to get it ready.”
She let out a sigh and closed her eyes, counting to ten. “Then I’ll just have to deal with it, won’t I? I’m here for the duration in any case.” After all, she’d quit her PR job, a job that she hated, so she could find herself. God, how pathetic did that sound?
“Well, if you need anything, I’m here. And I bet my brothers would help out in a second.”
Jordan nodded, a smile forming. Damn those helpful, sexy Cooper brothers. “Thanks, if I need anything, I’ll holler. But I hope to do most of it on my own.”

Free Read - Dress Me in Wildflowers

Dress Me in Wildflowers, a "coming home" contemporary romance from Trish Milburn, is available for FREE download for a limited time at Amazon.com.  Here's the blurb:

Farrin Taylor is a living rags-to-riches story, but it's not a story she cares to share with anyone.  To her, the rags part of her story is in the past and should stay there.  When she left Oak Valley, Tennessee, she had no intention of ever going back there, of ever being the person she'd been there.  She's no longer poor little Farrin with the outdated clothes and nonexistent social life.  She remade herself into one of the top designers in New York, specializing in wedding and special occasion gowns for starlets, royalty and those with fat bank accounts.  So when Tammie, her best friend from high school invites her to their fifteen-year high school reunion, Farrin can't think of anything she'd rather do less.  Only when Tammie's mother, who'd been like a second mother to Farrin, encourages her to come back to Oak Valley for a visit does Farrin relent.  She intends to be in and out in a day but that's not exactly how things pan out.  The next thing she knows, she's bought a historic inn to keep it from being demolished, learned her high school nemesis didn't have the perfect life she always thought and her teenage crush has grown up and just might like her back.  She also realizes that time and distance are funny things and that Oak Valley isn't as bad as she remembers.  In fact, it and the people there might be the things she's been looking for without realizing it.

Guest Review - - Tempting the Bride

Tempting the Bride
By Sherry Thomas
Publisher: Berkley
Release Date: October 2, 2012

Helena Fitzhugh marches to her own drum. She is university educated in a time when few women are. She owns a publishing company purchased with her own money and operated with her own energies, even rarer choices for a young woman of her class. She is also in love with a married man, Andrew Martin. They fell in love when Helena was twenty-two, and neither Andrew’s agreeing to his mother’s demands that he marry the woman she chose for him nor the marriage itself has shaken Helena’s love for him. And her family’s watchful care and the interference of the pestilential Lord Hastings combined have not prevented her from seeing Andrew.

David Hillsborough, Viscount Hastings has been in love with Helena Fitzhugh since they were fourteen. So overwhelmed was he by Helena and the feelings that she evoked in him that he behaved foolishly, attracting her attention by annoying her with vulgarities and putdowns, in the manner of obnoxious adolescent males. The problem is he’s stuck in the pattern thirteen years later, unable to forget Helena and unwilling to take the risk of telling her how he feels. He knows how close to social ruin Helena is skating in her relationship with Andrew, and he does his best to prevent disaster for Helena’s sake and for that of her twin brother, Earl Fitzhugh, his best friend.

Hastings learns that Helena and Andrew have been set up by Andrew’s wife who wants evidence that will allow her to break free of her husband. Hastings rushes to the hotel where the lovers are to meet and arrives in time for Andrew to hide and Hastings to be found with Helena when the Martin women, Andrew’s wife and domineering mother, burst into the room. Hastings announces that he and Helena have eloped, but before his fiction can become fact, Helena is critically injured in an accident as she chases after Andrew.

Hastings is a constant presence at Helena’s bedside as she lies for days in a coma from which he fears she may not awaken. When she does regain consciousness, Helena can remember nothing of the past thirteen years of her life. She recognizes Venetia, her sister, and Fitz, her twin, but she doesn’t know their spouses. And she doesn’t know Hastings, who she is told is her husband. Hastings has the opportunity to start with a clean slate. He can relate to Helena now with none of the annoying games that have characterized his relationship with her for years. She responds to him with none of the scorn that was her wont. As he reveals to her the man he truly is with all his intelligence and charm and devotion, Helena begins to view him with liking and eventually with desire. Hastings is torn between joy over the feelings growing between them and fear of the future when Helena’s memory returns.

This is the third book in Thomas’s Fitzhugh trilogy, following Beguiling the Beauty (Venetia’s book) and Ravishing the Heiress (Fitz’s book). The pattern of a Fitzhugh past the first blush of youth finding the love of her/his life with someone who has loved her/him from a young age is sustained in this book. Despite this similarity, each story is unique. In this one, Thomas takes some of the conventions and tropes I dislike in romance and weaves them into a story that I loved, regardless of my prejudices.

First, I’m not a fan of the hero and heroine who begin as word snipers constantly tearing at one another verbally. This kind of thing makes me really uncomfortable in real life, and I don’t like it any better in fiction. Helena and Hastings’s pointed exchanges are a minor thread in the first two books, so it’s been going on for quite a while. But because Thomas made me care about Hastings from the beginning by showing him as more than the man Helena sees, I wanted him to have his HEA. I wasn’t persuaded that Helena deserved him even for much of this book. But Thomas undercut my dislike of the character by having Helena think exactly what I thought of her earlier behavior: “She could hardly breathe for her searing aversion to this reckless, selfish woman. . . .”

Speaking of aversion, I have an aversion to amnesia plots. It probably dates from an addiction to soap operas in my teens. But I found Helena’s physical and emotional reactions to her amnesia believable. I don’t know if anything else would have served so well to render the self-assured Helena vulnerable. The character was much more likable after she lost her memory.

Triangles don’t have much appeal for me either, especially when they involve adultery. But Helena is so clearly the pursuer in her relationship with Andrew that it’s difficult to hold him responsible. Gentle, anxious, and so easily controlled by strong-willed women, he is such an unlikely partner for her. Nothing makes this clearer than the final scene between the two where Helena’s farewell action is to give Andrew commands involving both his marriage and his writing.

On the other hand, Hastings’s love for the willful Helena is the kind that leaves me sighing. He has no illusions about her, but he views all she does through the lens of a love that understands and accepts. When the amnesiac Helena is horrified by the knowledge of all she has risked in her determined pursuit of Andrew, Hastings comforts her: “You lost him when you loved him the most, a difficult blow that never quite softened with time.”  Helena is solaced by his kindness. “She let herself wallow in the magnificence of his compassion, the sweetness of his friendship.”  We see that generosity of spirit in Hastings’ love for Helena and just as movingly in his love for his illegitimate daughter, Bea.  He’s also an artist and a writer and a passionate lover. He’s close to the perfect hero in my opinion, and my favorite moment in the book is when Helena fully realizes what she has. The epilogue is a very pretty bow on the wonderful gift of this story.

I’ve heard that Sherry Thomas may not write any more historical romances. I hope she changes her mind, but I’m grateful for the treasures she has given readers over these past few years. I’m particularly grateful for this nearly perfect trilogy. For the third time, I highly recommend the latest book in the Fitzhugh trilogy.

Today's Special - - Juliana Stone

PJ here.  It's my pleasure to welcome Juliana Stone to the blog today.  I discovered Juliana with the publication of her debut paranormal romance and have eagerly awaited each subsequent book she's written. She writes dark paranormal romance, is venturing into contemporary romance with the release of her new book, OFFSIDE and also writes young adult novels as Julie Blackstone.  Describing herself as an "80's geek," Juliana indulges her passion for music by singing in a band in which her husband plays guitar.  A Canadian, Juliana also has a passion for hockey and that passion figures prominently in her new book.  But I'll let her tell you about that.

You can find out more about Juliana and her books at her website and connect with her online at Facebook and Twitter.  Please give Juliana a warm Romance Dish welcome!

Hey all!  I’m so happy to be here talking about my very first contemporary romance, OFFSIDE, because this book involves more than a few of my favorite things.  Romance.  Sports.  Hunky, gorgeous men, and heroines who are strong, likable and yet, kick ass!

Some of you may know me from my paranormal romances, The Jaguar Warriors and The League of Guardians series, but last year I decided to spread my wings so to speak and I wrote a few contemporary romances.  The Summer He Came Home releases next April, from Sourcebooks, and is the first in my new Bad Boys of Crystal Lake series.  The hero, Cain is a yummy rock star. Truthfully, I had so much fun writing that first book, I wrote a second and decided to self-publish The Barker Triplets, as a way to let my paranormal readers try my contemporary voice!

So, The Barker Triplets, Billie-Jo, Bobbi-Jo, and Betty-Jo (as an aside, these girls are named after my cousins J )  are an interesting bunch, and I decided that my first book would be about Billie, a hot shot female hockey player!  Basically, Billie has represented her country in the Olympics, and has played professional hockey in a men’s league in Europe.  She suffered a career ending concussion and finds herself back home at loose ends, with no plans and a chip on her shoulder.  She decides to sign up for a Friday Night Hockey league, which only has men, and is met by a lot of resistance.

I can tell you all, that these events were inspired by two women who did just that in the small town I live in. These ladies are still playing today, though, the men did change the sign up rules, to specify it as a men’s league instead of hockey league.

I had a blast writing this book, developing the relationships between the family members, the sisters and I was able to combine my love of hockey, something that I’ve enjoyed my entire life.  I come from a hockey family.  My brothers played.  I played.  My friends.  My son. I love everything about the game, the physical aspect especially.  And adding a dash of romance into this forum?  Win for me!

To celebrate the release of OFFSIDE, I’ll award one commentator your choice of a kindle copy of OFFSIDE, OR an advanced reader copy of THE SUMMER HE CAME HOME!  All you have to do is tell me what your favorite sport is and why!

The Perfect Hope
By Nora Roberts

Ryder is the hardest Montgomery brother to figure out—with a tough-as-nails outside and possibly nothing too soft underneath. He’s surly and unsociable, but when he straps on a tool belt, no woman can resist his sexy swagger. Except apparently Hope Beaumont, the innkeeper of his own Inn BoonsBoro…

As the former manager of a D.C. hotel, Hope is used to excitement and glamour, but that doesn’t mean she can’t appreciate the joys of small-town living. She’s where she wants to be—except for in her love life. Her only interaction with the opposite sex has been sparring with the infuriating Ryder, who always seems to get under her skin. Still, no one can deny the electricity that crackles between them…a spark that ignited with a New Year’s Eve kiss.

While the Inn is running smoothly, thanks to Hope’s experience and unerring instincts, her big-city past is about to make an unwelcome—and embarrassing—appearance. Seeing Hope vulnerable stirs up Ryder’s emotions and makes him realize that while Hope may not be perfect, she just might be perfect for him…

'Twas the Night After Christmas
By Sabrina Jeffries

Dear Sir,

. . . I feel I should inform you that your mother is very ill. If you wish to see her before it is too late, you should come at once.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Camilla Stuart

Pierce Waverly, the Earl of Devonmont, has led an unabashed rogue’s life, letting no woman near his heart. Inexplicably abandoned as a child to be raised by distant relatives, he never forgave his parents, refusing to read any of his mother’s letters after his father’s death. Then came a letter that shook his resolve. A Christmas visit to Montcliff might prove his last chance to discover the truth of his past, and come to terms with the stranger he calls “Mother.”

But two surprises await him at Montcliff. His mother is perfectly healthy, nowhere near a deathbed, as her meddling lady’s companion led him to believe. The second is Camilla Stuart herself, a lively vicar’s widow, too bright and beautiful not to arouse the scoundrel in Pierce. Though she alone is reason enough to prolong his stay, he is soon faced with other tantalizing riddles: What secrets lie in his mother’s past to explain his childhood abandonment? Why is the captivating Mrs. Stuart so determined to mend the breach between mother and son? Meanwhile,

Camilla herself is caught up in love’s complications since the arrival of the irresistible earl. As his bold flirtation and suggestive whispers draw her dangerously close, can anything protect her vulnerable heart? If they are destined to share real happiness, there must be honesty between them—yet telling him the truth about her own life may shatter that chance.

None of them can predict the startling revelations to come. Or the secrets, both heartening and shocking, divulged between a mother and son, and between two lovers haunted by their respective pasts, that will make Christmas night at Montcliff one to remember—and the glorious night after, one to treasure for a lifetime.

YA News

The CW and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment are working on the development of a new TV series for the network for next year based on Jessica Shirvington's Embrace novels. Violet Eden, a woman in her 20s, is the centerpiece of the books. She's half-angel and extremely important to a centuries-long battle involving fallen angels.

There's all kinds of casting news for Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games. You can check out all the new faces here. I personally am really excited about Sam Claflin playing Finnick Odair. I really liked him as William in Snow White & The Huntsman.

The first trailer for Beautiful Creatures, the film based on the novel by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, has been released and looks really cool. The film is set to release Feb. 13. See the trailer here.

The film adaptation of Veronica Roth's Divergent now has a release date, so mark March 21, 2014 on your calendars.

Bowker Market Research recently released some interesting statistics from its biannual study of children's book consumers. More than half (55%) of YA sales are being made by those 18 and older, and the largest group was those 30 to 44, like myself. And 78 percent of the time, those in that 30-44 age group are buying those YA titles for their own reading enjoyment. So I'm definitely not alone in my love of the YA genre.

J.K. Rowling said in an interview with the BBC that her next book will very likely be for children, albeit a slightly younger audience than the Harry Potter books. She also left open the slight possibility of returning to the world of Harry Potter if she had a great idea, though Harry's story is complete.

Want to live in the house where the Harry Potter books were written? Then you'll have to fork over at least $3.64 million U.S. to get in the running. Check out the photos here, even if that's a wee it out of your price range.

YA Review

The moment I read the last page of Across the Universe by Beth Revis last year, I immediately wanted to start reading the the second in the series, A Million Suns. Alas, I had to wait until this year, and then deadlines kept me from reading it when it came out in January. When I finally had the opportunity, I was not disappointed.

This series takes place in a spaceship called Godspeed, which is on its way to another planet, a new home for the more than 2,000 people on board -- both those living and working on the ship each day, and the ones who have been frozen in cryogenic chambers since the ship left Earth generations ago. The story revolves around Amy, a teenage girl who was unfrozen before she was supposed to be in Across the Universe, and Elder, the only boy her age on the ship who also happens to be the new leader of Godspeed. Elder has a different vision for life aboard the ship, one devoid of lies and drugging the inhabits as his predecessors had. But giving the people on board free will doesn't turn out exactly how he hopes. In addition to the stress of being the leader and dealing with dissent, there's the budding romance with Amy. Or is there one? Amy struggles with wondering if her feelings for Elder are real or just a result of him being the only guy her age on board and awake. Together, they navigate the dangers of their confined world and discover the biggest lie of all.

Shoes (and more) of Moonlight & Magnolias 2012

Hello, Dishies!  Andrea and I spent the past weekend in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Romance Writers 30th Moonlight and Magnolias Conference.  As usual, M&M was an opportunity to re-connect with old friends, make new friends, hone our writing skills through an assortment of outstanding workshops, rock out with DJ extraordinary, DJ Silver Knight, celebrate the accomplishments of those honored at the Maggie Awards and, lest we forget, pay homage to some amazing outfits and shoes, glorious shoes!  Here's our pictorial stroll through the 2012 M&M Conference!

#1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn (who is also the youngest member of Romance Writers of America's Hall of Fame) was this year's smart, funny and inspirational keynote speaker.  Here she is with one of our favorite new historical romance authors, Manda Collins.

Kellie Kamryn's outstanding workshop on staying motivated was one of my favorites.  She worked the crowd like a pro and did it in sparkly silver heels.  Here she is, rocking those fabulous shoes with an equally fabulous outfit on Maggie night!

By the way, this year's theme was Corsets, Crime, Craft.  There were ladies rocking some amazing corsets!

Busy ladies, and published authors, Kim Killion and Jennifer Jakes of Hot Damn Designs offered two great workshops and an up close and personal look at some of the historical clothes featured on the first class book covers they create.

By the way, in case you haven't noticed the Hot Damn Designs logo at the bottom of this page, Kim Killion is the very talented designer of The Romance Dish banner!

Jennifer McQuiston won last year's Maggie for unpublished historical romance.  This year, she's celebrating a contract with Avon and a Scottish historical romance, What Happens in Scotland, that will be released February 26, 2013!

For sexy shoes, look no further than the ladies from Charlotte...

...or the ladies from Jacksonville.

More ladies from Charlotte.  (These women know their shoes!)

Love, love, love these black and white striped shoes!  Apologies, but I can't remember who was wearing them.

And finally, not to be outdone, these awesome boots from our own Trish Milburn!

Multi-talented Jeanette Cogdell not only made this outfit but also painted her shoes!

The uber-talented Tamara DeStefano.  Love this outfit!  And yes, she made her outfit too.

The author of Georgian historicals, Emery Lee (a/k/a Victoria Vane) could have stepped from the pages of one of her novels!

Emery Lee/Victoria Vane was kind enough to send me a photo of her blue suede shoes.  I was so dazzled by her outfit, I totally missed her shoes!

Finally, a highlight of the M&M conference is the Basket Raffle with all proceeds of ticket sales going to literacy.  Everyone outdid themselves with this year's baskets as evidenced by the fact that they sold out of tickets!  The Romance Dish basket (an awesome basket, if I do say so) was won by Madeline from Jacksonville (who happens to be one of those ladies rocking the fabulous shoes in the photo above).  Congratulations, Madeline and thank you for supporting this great cause!

We hope you've enjoyed our stroll through this year's M&M conference.  We'll be adding the rest of our photos to the M&M 2012 album at The Romance Dish facebook page over the next few days so be sure to stop by and take a look.

Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes.  Do you favor hot pink stilettos or prefer the comfort of a great pair of sneakers?  Or, if you're from a warm weather state, maybe sparkly flip-flops are more your style?  One person leaving a comment on today's blog (U.S. and Canadian addresses only) will receive a package of books and swag from our conference stash, including Just Like Heaven and The Lady Most Likely..., both signed by Julia Quinn!
