Update: E-Mail Subscriptions

Those of you who subscribe to this blog via e-mail subscriptions have no doubt noticed the sudden cessation of those emails. Unfortunately, Google, the company that owns Blogger, the platform on which this blog resides has eliminated the email subscription function. I've been searching for a replacement widget without success. Based on chatter in the Blogger help community, we're pretty much up the creek without a paddle.

I know many of you relied on those emails to alert you to new posts here at The Romance Dish. I'm so sorry the function is no longer available.

I'll continue to do my best to keep the Coming Attractions post up to date throughout the month. You can click on the Coming Attractions link at the top of the right sidebar for current posting dates. I also post new content links on the blog's Facebook page

I'll be keeping my eyes open for a solution to this issue. If any of you know of one, please don't hesitate to comment here or email me at theromancedish (at) gmail (dot) com.

Thanks for your understanding!

~PJ

  3. I never worried about the notifications. I make a point to visit every night unless I can't, then I catch up the next day.

  4. software & technology is always changing - so annoying! I thought something was going on with the emails, but usually do see your facebook posts - hopefully something will be available to do emails again - until then I'll just have to remember to check the blog.

  5. Hi PJ: I was in the same boat and started using Follow. It back in late May 2021. You have to pay for more premium services but their free basic service does give your blog a follow-by-email option. I can't remember how painful it was to set up and the email notification sent to subscribers does include ads - but it's free. Here's the post I pushed out when I made the switch: https://wendythesuperlibrarian.blogspot.com/2021/05/general-housekeeping-subscribing-by.html
