It’s May and I can’t believe the end of the school year
is already upon us. My kids get out three weeks from today. Crazy! I’m looking
forward to some lazy summer days reading a good book. Here are some of the May
releases to help you get a jumpstart on your summer reading! Thus far, I’ve
only read one May release, The Last
Boyfriend by Nora Roberts. It’s a great addition to her Inn BoonsBoro
trilogy and has me pumped up for the last book coming in November. J
On my wish list are Heart of Brass by
Kate Cross, Be My Prince by Julianne
McLean and Somebody to Love by Kristan Higgins.
Until June, happy reading!

I hope you're able to get some new books soon, mariska. It sure is a great feeling!
DeleteI am always so behind in my reading because there are always so many great new books coming out. A few books I am looking forward to are Beguiling the Beauty, Twisted and Somebody to Love.
ReplyDeleteMaureen, I am severely behind on my reading, too. I have two stacks of books--one for review and one for pleasure. The latter stack is huge!!!
DeleteI haven't read any yet.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read Stephanie Sloane, Kristan Higgens, Mary Balogh, Ashley March, Amelia Grey, Nora Roberts, Catherine Mann, Kate Hoffman, Rocki St Claire, Carly Phillips, Kate Angell....
Great list, Laurie!
DeleteMay releases are fantastic! I'm reading new Amanda Quick at the moment, and very much looking forward to new Sherry Thomas and Lyn Benedict books ;)
ReplyDeleteAren't they?? Next month looks to be a fantastic month, too!
DeleteIt cannot be May. I may as well just take note of the entire list.
ReplyDeleteTell me about it, marybelle. I'd swear my kids just started school!
DeleteI don’t have as many books on my list for May as I did for April, but there are a couple of best of 2012 among those I have read. I've already read The Proposal – Mary Balogh, Lyon’s Bride – Cathy Maxwell, No Longer a Gentleman – Mary Jo Putney, Beguiling the Beauty – Sherry Thomas, Sunrise Point – Robyn Carr, The Good Father – Diane Chamberlain, Somebody to Love – Kristan Higgins, The Last Boyfriend – Nora Roberts, Barefoot in the Sand – Roxanne St.Claire, and Overseas – Beatriz Williams
ReplyDeleteAlready on my Kindle or on my TBB list are Lady Maggie’s Secret Scandal – Grace Burrowes, Too Tempting to Resist – Cara Elliott, My Lady Rival – Ashley March, Lady Priscilla’s Shameful Secret – Christine Merrill, CrystalGardens – Amanda Quick, The Saint Who Stole My Heart – Stefanie Sloane, Ties That Bind – Marie Bostwick, The Shoemaker’s Wife – Adriana Trigiani, and Twisted – Laura Griffin.
Janga, how did you like the start of Cathy Maxwell's new series?
DeleteMay looks like it will be a delicious month of reading!! With spring here, it's time to sit outside to enjoy the new flowers, birds, trees budding and a new book. Who could ask for more?
ReplyDeleteI agree, Connie!! Though, it's already starting to feel like summer in my neck of the woods. Lol
DeleteI'm reading Beguiling the Beauty by Sherry Thomas right now. She's always a terrific read. My library had The Last Boyfriend by Nora Roberts and The Proposal by Mary Balogh, so those are next up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know, Kim. Between you and Janga, I'm going to add Sherry's book to my list!
DeleteMary Balogh's The Proposal is at the top for me! Woohoo! I so love her books.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read a Mary Balogh book in a long time, RhiRowland. I may have to rectify that!
DeleteI've read Stefanie Sloane's Saint Who Stole My Heart and realy enjoyed it!! I finished The Last Boyfriend last night and loved it! (Yes, will be messaging you shortly :) ) Have heard great things about Sherry Thomas's new book. Also can't wait for the new Smythe-Smith book coming out at the end of the month! :) (Though it's technically a June release I think).
ReplyDeleteGot your message, Lisa. I'll respond when I have time later today or tomorrow. I have a lot to say!! LOL! Yes, I'm looking forward to JQ's next month!
DeleteI read Captivated by Lauren Dane and LOVED it. I am looking forward to reading HelenKay Dimon's latest Harlequin Intrigue. I've read all of her other Intrigues and always enjoyed them.

Stacie, Lauren Dane is constantly blessed by the cover gods, isn't she?? :)
DeleteI just finished Redeeming the Rogue by Donna MacMeans - very good. I've got so many in my tbr pile it's ridiculous but I still can't stop getting more lol. I found a new author to me that I enjoyed so much that I recently bought all her books. I had read 4 and found 4 more. The author is Kathryne Kennedy. I need to live a couple lifetimes to read everything I want (and of course there would be that many more lol).

I hope you enjoy them, Donna!
DeleteI'm looking forward to The Saint Who Stole My Heart and The Selection.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me know, bn100!
DeleteI haven't read any of the new releases yet, but I have Shawntelle's debut "Coveted" in my tbr pile.
ReplyDeleteLooks to be a good one, Jane!
DeleteMy TBR pile is scary and I have yet to read any of the May releases. So many seem to be a great book to pick up but I think the three that stand out most to me are All For You by Lynn Kurland, Kiss of Pride by Sandra Hill, and Four Sisters, All Queens by Sherry Jones. This is one of those things like a Lays potato chip where you can't just eat one.....you can't just pick one. It was hard enough to narrow it down to three. :)
ReplyDelete"This is one of those things like a Lays potato chip where you can't just eat one.....you can't just pick one."
DeleteLOL! You have it exactly right, Leah! Thanks for stopping by. :)
This reminds me of a Facebook conversation I was in with some friends this morning! Ther are so many good reads for May, but I'm still trying to catch up with last year! Oh well it's not such a bad problem to have, is it.
ReplyDeleteI must read the new Mary Balogh,
All for You, Be My Prince – Julianne MacLean
My Lady Rival – Ashley March
Lyon’s Bride – Cathy Maxwell
Andso on and so on!
SOUND OF THE HEART by Genevieve Graham is at the top of my list to read. Others are Sunrise Point – Robyn Carr, Twisted – Laura Griffin, All for You – Lynn Kurland, and many more of the historicals. Many good ones again this month.
