Mistletoe & Mr. Right
by Sarah Morgenthaler
Publication Date: 10/6/2020
How the moose (almost) stole Christmas.
Lana Montgomery is everything the quirky small town of Moose Springs, Alaska can’t stand: a rich socialite with dreams of changing things for the better. But Lana’s determined to prove that she belongs…even if it means trading her stilettos for snow boots and tracking one of the town’s hairiest Christmas mysteries: the Santa Moose, an antlered Grinch hell-bent on destroying every bit of holiday cheer (and tinsel) it can sink its teeth into.
And really…how hard could it be?
The last few years have been tough on Rick Harding, and it’s not getting any easier now that his dream girl’s back in town. When Lana accidentally tranquilizes him instead of the Santa Moose, it’s clear she needs help, fast…and this could be his chance to finally catch her eye. It’s an all-out Christmas war, but if they can nab that darn moose before it destroys the town, Rick and Lana might finally find a place where they both belong…together.

Real tree or fake tree: Even though I love the smell of real trees, I prefer fake trees for Christmas decorating.
Hot Cocoa or Egg Nog: Hot cocoa with extra marshmallows.
Gingerbread or Sugar Cookie: They’re both so good! If I must pick one…sugar cookies.
Ugly sweater or matching PJs: Matching PJs, although I can appreciate a great ugly sweater.

DeleteAnd commented. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteReal, Egg Nog (with alcohol), gingerbread, ugly sweater (so much fun), sledding, snow for Christmas! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI had my first glass of eggnog (no alcohol) last night. It was so delicious!
DeleteI was surprised that she preferred artificial trees. Also love hot chocolate with a lot of marshmallows. Agree with PJs over ugly sweaters. I like snow around Christmas. Living in Alaska, I'm sure she gets a bit of snow every winter. I saw that she is a Geology major. So are my son and D-I-L. They graduated from UF. They now live in Utah. Sugar cookies Yum! I like ice skating.
ReplyDeleteThanks Casablanca for the wonderful selection of books! I love trying new authors.
As a kid, I adored hot chocolate with marshmallows. Nowadays, I prefer it with a splash of Kahlua and whipped cream. *grin*
DeleteI prefer a real tree, but we put up several, so usually one real and the rest are fake.
ReplyDeleteI like both Hot Chocolate and Eggnog. Wither one works for an evening by the fire - Hot Chocolate with coconut rum or Kahlua (no marshmallows needed but whipped cream is good) and Eggnog with brandy.
I love gingerbread cookies.
Probably matching PJ's.
I enjoy both sledding and ice skating. Sadly this old body can no longer do either without risk of serious damage.
I grew up in Northern New York on the Canadian and Vermont border. I really love a white Christmas. We are in TN now so it doesn't happen often.
My answers matched yours perfectly! Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteI love a real tree, but so do my cats. A fake tree has a better chance of surviving intact for the season. Hot chocolate all the way and any and all ways over eggnog - there has to be more alcohol than other ingredients for me to drink more than a sip of eggnog. I love all cookies and tend towards ugly sweaters. I'd rather sled than ice skate, but I am very happy NOT to have any snow except in books and on TV.
ReplyDeleteI want a real tree, hot chocolate with whipped cream and candy canes, sugar cookies, matching PJ's, sledding and snow on Christmas morning.
