Playing to Win
By Jaci Burton

Someone’s going to have to let down their guard…

Football star Cole Riley is notorious for doing as he pleases—on the field and off. He parties hard and fights harder, but if he doesn’t clean up his act, his career is over—so Cole reluctantly agrees to work with image makeover consultant Savannah Brooks. He’s not used to being told what to do, especially by some (admittedly hot) Southern belle. As for Savannah, she’s not convinced she can transform this cocky (and aggressively sexy) force of nature. But she’s determined to give it her best shot.

When the sparks start to fly, Savannah lays down the ground rules: no personal complications. If she can turn off the tingle she feels every time Cole gives her a hot stare with his gorgeous baby blues, he can turn off his desire as well. But for two people determined to have it all, a hands-off policy can only last so long before one of them yields.

Silver Mine
By Vivian Arend
Life in isolation is the safest place for Chase Johnson, a crossbreed who doesn’t know which form he’ll assume next—cougar or wolf. Once a year, his unelected position as spokesman for the Yukon outcasts forces him to visit civilization. This time he runs across someone unexpected. She’s not his mate, but she pushes all the right buttons.

It’s taken years for Shelley Bradley to gather the courage to return to her home pack. In spite of being the lowest of the low—a shifter who can’t shift—she’s determined to make a place for herself as the Whitehorse locals’ new vet-slash-doctor.

There’s definite electricity between her and Chase, but sex with fellow shifters and the inherent mind games got old a long time ago. Ignoring him seems best. When he shows up at her office with a wound that won’t heal, she’s stuck—yet drawn to solve this medical mystery.

As they journey deep into outcast territory in search of answers, their powerful sexual attraction crumbles her resistance. But time is of the essence. If a cure can’t be found before his human and cougar succumb to his injury, he—and others like him—will die.

  6. Great list Andrea and PJ! :)

I can't wait to read Eloisa's Ugly Duchess, and I'm also looking forward to Caroline Linden's The Way to a Duke's Heart, not the least of which is because both of these books will be part of Avon's Kiss and Teal campaign for ovarian cancer research and awareness. Anna Randol's new book will be out next month as well, which I am looking forward to reading as well. (It's also a Kiss and Teal book too I think).

And of course, I absolutely can't wait until Tessa's A Lady By Midnight releases but at this point I think that goes without saying! :D (And yes, ALBM is yet another Kiss and Teal book!)

  9. I've read and enjoyed the books by James, March, Dare, Kramer, and Rowan, and I'm really looking forward to the new Goodman.

August 28 will offer a bonanza for romance readers. In addition to the Chapman, Dare, James, Kramer, and Rowan, which are all 8/28 releases, new books from Christie Craig, Jude Deveraux, Caroline Linden, Pamela Morsi, Brenda Novak, Anna Randol, Susan Wiggs, and Sherryl Woods also release on that date. And that's just authors on my TBR/TBB list. I'm sure there are others.

  14. I've read Eloisa's latest and loved it. I think it's her best fairy tale in the series so far.
Nina Rowan's debut, "A Study in Seduction" is one of the best books by a new author I've ever had the pleasure to read.
I can't wait to read Tessa Dare's latest and so many more of the September releases!

  15. They all look wonderful. I am especially looking forward to reading Kieran Kramer's, "Loving Lady Marcia." How can you resist the covers of her novels and that impish look in the heroine's eyes? ;-)
