Today's Special - - Tawny Weber

It's our pleasure to welcome Tawny Weber back to The Romance Dish to celebrate Valentines Day and the release of Tawny's tenth book, BREAKING THE RULES.  Tawny is usually found dreaming up stories in her California home, surrounded by dogs, cats and kids. When she’s not writing hot, spicy stories for Harlequin Blaze, she’s shopping for the perfect pair of boots or drooling over Johnny Depp pictures (when her husband isn’t looking, of course). Come by and visit her on the web at www.tawnyweber.com

The Romance Dish – Tawny’s Top Ten Romantic Destinations

Woot! It’s almost Valentine’s Day. That ultimate day of romance. Which makes this the ultimate romance weekend, right? So here’s my question for you… if you could have your ultimate romance weekend, where would you go? What would you do? And more importantly if we’re playing Fantasy Romance, who would you do it with (husbands, significant others are sweet and all, but c’mon… this is a fantasy. Go wild *g*)

Here are a few locale ideas:

Tawny’s Top Ten Most Romantic Destinations

• A deserted island
• A remote cabin in the mountains
• A lakeside chalet
• A private yacht cruise around the Greek Islands
• A castle in Scotland
• The secret room in Cinderella’s Castle at Disney World
• The French Riviera
• An exclusive island resort
• Monte Carlo and a kiss from Lady Luck
• A private night at home with champagne and a roaring fire

So if you were awarded an all-expense paid, fantasy Valentines trip, where would you go? What’s your idea of the most romantic destination? And who is your fantasy date?

To celebrate the release of BREAKING THE RULES, I’m giving away some Valentine’s treats to one lucky commenter today! A hand-crafted (by me) heart-shaped tin filled with candy, and a book of the winner’s choice from my backlist!

Be sure and check out my upcoming Valentines Party!

I’m so excited that my tenth release, BREAKING THE RULES, is on shelves now! I loved writing this story, because it focuses on something near and dear to my heart – a Military Hero (my own hero-hubby was in the Army). Even more fun was making this a Valentine’s story, complete with hearts and flowers.

To celebrate, I’m having an invitation-only Valentine’s Day Party! Including:

♥ A downloadable short story written just for this party as a door prize for everyone who attends
♥ A sexy Top Ten to wind up my Top Ten tour: Ten Tips for a Hot Valentine’s Night
♥ One lucky person will win a Valentine’s Basket!

All you have to do to join the fun is go to the Breaking the Rules Valentines Party page on my website, and RSVP!

BREAKING THE RULES BLURB:

What do you get when you mix a military hero on a mission with an independent artist hell-bent on proving something? A battle that can only be won between the sheets.

Sophia Castillo is finally calling the shots in her life, and she’s determined to stay in charge. The last thing she needs is a babysitter. Not even a babysitter as sexy as US Army Sergeant First Class and EOD Squad Leader, Maximillian St. James. But when someone is sabotaging her art gallery, she turns to Max for help. When he proves to be a challenge to her independence, she lays down their relationship rules. Hot sex, good times and a lot of laughs are all good. Anything involving their hearts is strictly off limits. Before they catch the vandal, Max and Sophia both have to decide just which rules they are willing to break, and how high a price they are willing to pay.

  1. Well ... since you're talking fantasy and I presume I can't say my husband (although I do fantasize about him), nor can I say at home (which has always been just fine with me) ... I'd have to say Italy with the gondolas and beautiful "streets". My fantasies ALWAYS involve George Clooney; what can I say! He is charasmatic and funny, he has a great voice, and he's not too hard on the eyes. It's a bonus that he has a place at Lake Como in Italy already, but it's just a coincidence.

Well, it's after 1:30 a.m. here, so I guess I'll go dream about Gorgeous George and our rendezvous together. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely have sweet dreams tonight. (Shhhh; my husband is sleeping!)

  2. Congrats on your tenth release, Tawny. I would love to head to Tahiti with Henry Cavill. I'm hoping he can model a Superman spandex costume for me. We can sip champagne and enjoy our messages. Have a Happy Valentine's Day.

  6. Hey Tawny! So good to have you with us today. Congrats on the latest release!! I can't wait to read it!!!

My fantasy (at least for today) is some exotic, secluded island (you know the kind ... beautiful blue/green water, sunshine, white beaches and no one around) with the hunky Jed Hill. *hugh sigh*

  7. LOL @ Laney! Hope your dreams were sweet! ;-)

  8. Tahiti sounds wonderful, Jane, especially for those of us in the middle winter, and Henry would be a lovely bonus!

  9. Welcome back, Tawny! It's great to have you visiting with us again. I could use a Valentines fantasy getaway about now. It's been so cold here and I've been sick for the past week. You think Hugh Jackman would take pity on me and whisk me away to someplace tropical and warm?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Okay, Helen, I'm willing to share but only if we go someplace warm. Please???

  11. Artemis, I like the way you think!

  12. Oh, I want the Castle in Scotland, lots of snow so we have just cause to stay inside.

I am thinking I would like to see what Mark Harmon looks like in a kilt, oh yeah, I really can imagine that very well.

Ooh, now that would be a sight worth braving the cold. Great choice, Dianna!

  14. Hey, Tawny! It's great to have you dishing with us today.

Oh, I would definitely go for some secluded island paradise with a gorgeous home right on the beach, servants to anticipate my every need, and Hugh Jackman and Roarke (from the J.D. Robb books) to fulfill my every desire. What a fantasy! *sigh*

  20. Hey there, Helen :-)

Ugh on the heat!!! I think a snowy, highland cabin sounds like the perfect answer to cool you off (and heat things right back up). And Huge? Ooooh baby. He can sing, he can dance, he can flex those gorgeous Wolverine muscles LOL - so much viewing pleasure packed into one man!

  21. Hi Buffy :-) And thank you for the congrats- and for having me here to visit! It's always a pleasure hanging out with your ladies!!

Your fantasy sounds lovely. Warm sun, soft sand and a gorgeous hunk to enjoy it all with!!! Now that's the way to kick off a Valentine's weekend *ggg*

  24. Congratulations on the new release, Tawny. It sounds terrific!

I love your list. I think any one of them could be fantasy-inspiring. My first choice, however, would be watching a sunset on Santorini and drinking Visanto with George Clooney.

  25. Ack - running out to speak on a Valentines Panel this afternoon - I'll be back soon, ladies :-)

Happy fantasizing while I'm gone *ggg*

  26. Hello Tawny!
I went to Venice, Italy in October and I would absolutely go back there. Venice was the most romantic city I have ever visited. Paris would be a close second.

BTW - I LOVE your cover!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well I just wrote a big ole hot fantasy for PJ and it disappeared *g*

PJ, it was really sexy! Hugh was flexing and talking with that sexy accent and everything :-)

Thank you so much for the welcome back! I'm thrilled to be here, and having a great time reading all these fab fantasies!

I hope you're feeling better, and definitely think you need a masseuse thrown into your fantasy to help ease sore muscles and a personal chef to cook you healthy yummy treats ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hey Dianna :-) I think a snow-covered castle in Scotland would require a LOT of cuddling and hunky warmth. Maybe a hot toddy or two? Something rich and delicious?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh Gannon! Roarke? I'd be afraid of Eve LOL. But hey, a deserted island would keep you hidden for long enough to have a great time :-)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hi Kelli :-)

    Thanks, I love this cover!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi Petit :) The Amalfi Coast in Italy sounds GLORIOUS!!! Oh wow, what a lovely fantasy :-)

  32. Since this is fantasy time, I
would choose to cruise the Greek Islands with my favorite NFL
running back from way, way back
in the day! Lots of lovely toge-
ther time, lounging on the deck,
    lovely Greek foods, cool breezes
blowing, oh, be still my heart!

  33. Where would I go. I just want to spend the day with my boyfriend where neither of us has to do a single thing. Maybe Hawaii or Greece. Or maybe a vinyard in Italy.

  34. I hope you're feeling better, and definitely think you need a masseuse thrown into your fantasy to help ease sore muscles and a personal chef to cook you healthy yummy treats ;-)

Thanks, Tawny! I'm all for the masseuse and personal chef! *g* I thought I was feeling better...not great, but better...so I went back to work today. I lasted two and a half hours before I passed out while waiting on a lovely elderly lady (poor thing). Obviously, I wasn't quite ready to return to work. My neighbor came to fetch me so now I'm back home, in my pj's and on the couch with chicken noodle soup and orange juice (courtesy of the same neighbor) and canine bookends.

  35. Hi, Tawwny! Congrats on your release of Breaking the Rules. Sounds like a wonderful book.

As far as a fantasy goes, I would love to go to Greece with Hugh Jackman, Mark Harmon, and George Clooney. Of course my every wish would be their desire. Hope it isn't too decadent to wish for 3 handsome men. If it is, that is still my wishful thinking. Lol!

  36. *waving* Hi, Tawny! Sorry I'm late to the party...we've been away from home since 5 this morning and I am beat!! Congrats on your newest release and Happy Valnetine's Day to you!

Love the blog. Well, since you said fantasy and if my husband didn't count, I'd say Christian Bale in the Bat cave. Heh. ;-)

  37. Traveler, I have Patrick Stewart lust :-) I adore his voice!! I'd think a south sea adventure with him would be truly divine :-)

  40. Oh, Janga.... I love this image :-)

watching a sunset on Santorini and drinking Visanto with George Clooney

Talk about pure romance. And what a view - whether you're looking at the sunset, the landscape, or the oh-so-sexy George :-D

    Very nice ;-)

Thanks tons for the congrats. I'm super thrilled about the book!

    Take care!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. LOL, I love how you fantasize, Cathie. Why take only one hunk when you can bring along three to cater to your very whim. Very clever ;-)

    And yummy choices, too!!!

    Thanks for the 'grats :-D

  46. Hi Andrea *waving wildly back*

5am? Yikes!!! The only time I see 5am is from the view of midnight :-D I hope you're getting lots of rest now and get to enjoy being home for awhile.

Thank you so much, and Happy Valentine's right back :-)

I have to admit... I read Christian Bale in the Bat Cave and my mind added 'with the tool belt' *g*

So, yeah... I'm sure his toy-filled tool belt is optional LOL

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh Gannon! Roarke? I'd be afraid of Eve

LOL @ Tawny! Yes, I should be afraid of Eve, but since this is my fantasy, let's just say Eve hasn't crossed paths with Roarke yet. *snork*

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh baby... the pre-Eve Roarke.

So sexy and such a bad boy :-)

    Niiiiiiice fantasy!!!! Very nice.

  50. LOL Andrea :) Well I hope you got a lot of sleep today to make up for the early rising yesterday!

Christian Bale is definitely yummy. Did you ever see Howls Moving Castle? He did the voice of Howl and OMG, I fell in love with a cartoon just based on that voice. Hot hot hot!
