Do you like to receive books for Christmas or other special occasions? Do you give them as gifts? Are you starting to get into the holiday spirit? What's on your wish list this year?
One randomly chosen person who leaves a comment before Midnight, Saturday, November 16th will receive all of the e-books listed above.
That is a great gift prize! I usually give gift cards instead of books because I know that I change my mind all the time about what book to buy. I haven't really gotten into the holiday spirit yet but I usually don't feel it until we have Thanksgiving.ReplyDelete
I really enjoy Thanksgiving. I make it a practice to not put up any Christmas decorations or play Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving. Then all bets are off. *grin*Delete
I do give books as gifts, but also give gift cards inlcuding gcs for amazon. This is a great selection of books, and some of these books are new to me and look v.g. Am happy there are a few food related ones. My fingers are tightly crossed and I am really happy that I did break down awhile ago and get myself an ereader. Matter of fact I have a nook simple touch and a kindle fire. LOL.ReplyDelete
I love to get Amazon gift cards. It's become my gift of choice, especially since I bought my Kindle Fire!Delete
I love getting books for Chritmas! Yes I give them out to my bf who is my reading buddy! I have asked for bookshelves for Christmas for a room I'm redoing. Good luck everyone!ReplyDelete
Ooooh. Bookshelves! Always a welcome gift! :)Delete
I love to give books as gifts and often do. Love the Kristen Callihan series and the other books look interesting too!ReplyDelete
Thanks for stopping by, Lulu! I've been meaning to try the Kristen Callihan series. Thanks for the recommendation.Delete
I like getting books or bookstore giftcards and I often give them as presentsReplyDelete
Me too, Sandy.Delete
I’m always thrilled when I am gifted a book for any reason! I always buy them for gifts too and they are greatly appreciated!ReplyDelete
It's one of my favorite gifts to buy too, Connie. The kids in my life have always known they'd be getting books from me. :)Delete
I like getting and giving giftcards. But yah, no gift exchange in my family this year. It's so relaxing not to shop...ReplyDelete
Jcp, how lovely that you can relax and just enjoy the holiday. :)Delete
I love to get books for any occasion. Our family has a gift exchange for the kids which is only book related. My favorite gift to receive is a bookstore gift card, and now that I have an ereader I don't need to ask for more bookshelves! For me, the holidays really get going with Thanksgiving, but it falls so late this year that I have been stating "early"!ReplyDelete
Our family has a gift exchange for the kids which is only book related.Delete
Oh, what a great idea! I love that!
I do like giving books, but sometimes it's easier to give out bookstore gift cards because I don't know what books have or don't have. I have a few items on my wishlist including cashmere gloves and purses.ReplyDelete
Cashmere gloves sound lovely! I need a new purse but that's something I'll have to buy for myself. Hoping to take advantage of some of the holiday sales.Delete
I love books anytime of the year but is someone doesnt; know what I want or what I already have a gift card to a book store will do... No speical wishes this year just happiness for everyone...ReplyDelete
That's a wonderful wish, Donna!Delete
I love books as gifts. Since my b-day was yesterday I just got a B&N gift card from my wonderful MIL. She knows how to make me happy and will give me another for Christmas. LOLReplyDelete
I usually give cookbooks or books that include knitting in the story for both her December b-day and Christmas. My hubby also loves to get books as gifts.
Happy Birthday, Marcy! Enjoy spending that B&N gift card!Delete
I like getting books as gifts; I love getting book store gift cards, so I can pick my own. I always give books to children--grandkids, nieces and nephews. Thanks for the giveaway.ReplyDelete
Seems we all enjoy getting book store gift cards. This doesn't surprise me one bit! :)Delete
I love getting books and gift certificates to buy books any time, they're my favorite gifts. I love giving books as gifts as well. I usually wait until after Thanksgiving before I even start thinking about Christmas, so I'm not in the spirit quite yet. I haven't even thought of a wish list yet, maybe an external hard drive for my computer, that's all I can think of this early.ReplyDelete
I really need an external hard drive for my computer. Hoping to score a deal on one of those once sales start.Delete
Books make great gifts. I find that if I have enjoyed a book then it's a pretty safe buy.ReplyDelete
I agree, Mary!Delete
I love getting books as gifts for birthdays and Christmas and giving them out is fun too. I have so many books on my wish list, I don't think my list will be fulfilled this year (or next year either!!) Lol. I love Christmas so I'm definitely getting into the spirit of the season. Now I'm just waiting for some snow to really get me in the spirit!ReplyDelete
I love snow on Christmas Eve. I'm very happy to spend the rest of the year without it. ;-)Delete
I love getting books and giving them. I usually give gift cards to book stores so they can get the ones they want. There are so many I want so I am asking for gift cards.ReplyDelete
I'm asking for the same. :)Delete
I like to get books for gifts as long it is by an author I like, but I would prefer a Gift Card. I do give gifts of books, but then again only if I know the person wants the book or I know they will enjoy it. I think you have to know a person a gift of book.ReplyDelete
I agree, Kathleen. I buy books if the person asks for that title. Otherwise, it's much safer to go with the gift cards.Delete
I like getting book store gift cards. I can buy what I want. I don't usually give books, though. I tend to give clothes or something I know the person wants.ReplyDelete
Since I buy for "kids" from 4 - 33, I end up buying a little bit of everything.Delete
This is quite an assortment of books! Any book lover's dream!ReplyDelete
I give books to children for the holidays, but prefer to give Amazon gift books to adults so that they can pick their own reads.
Same here, Michelle!Delete
Awesome prize pack! Thank you so much!!! I love receiving books for Christmas :) But since most of my friends and family are non readers, I'll likely end up with Amazon giftcards. So then I can get the exact books I want.ReplyDelete
The perfect gift, Erin!Delete
I always give books and I always get books. Adults usually get gift cards, but the grandkids always get hard cover books. I would love to win all these books!!ReplyDelete
I love giving books to the children in the family, especially those that are avid readers. Love the expression of joy when they first open that book! :)Delete
Book giving has quite a history in our family... and it would be unusual to receive a book that has not been read prior to the gift by the giver.. yup... we give 'gently used' books in my family!ReplyDelete
Nothing wrong with that! I love sharing gently used books!Delete
I love to give books as gifts and I especially like to receive books or gift cards. They are the best gift ever. Such a nice assortment of books for some lucky person.ReplyDelete
What a generous giveaway! Thank you!ReplyDelete
I love to get books for special occasions. I don't give them as gifts, because most of the people I know like to get their own books.
Sadly, I lost my beloved husband of 39 years to cancer on August 1st, so I am not in the mood for the holidays this year.
(((Cathy))) My thoughts and prayers are with you this holiday season. I've been in your shoes and know how very hard all the "firsts" are, especially the holidays.Delete
I was at a conference this weekend and just got back. Sorry I missed this giveaway. A nice variety of books. Whoever wins will get a special treat.ReplyDelete
As for me, my family knows books are a great gift for me anytime. I tend to buy books for most of them on special occasions.
