  1. That is a great gift prize! I usually give gift cards instead of books because I know that I change my mind all the time about what book to buy. I haven't really gotten into the holiday spirit yet but I usually don't feel it until we have Thanksgiving.

    1. I really enjoy Thanksgiving. I make it a practice to not put up any Christmas decorations or play Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving. Then all bets are off. *grin*

  2. I do give books as gifts, but also give gift cards inlcuding gcs for amazon. This is a great selection of books, and some of these books are new to me and look v.g. Am happy there are a few food related ones. My fingers are tightly crossed and I am really happy that I did break down awhile ago and get myself an ereader. Matter of fact I have a nook simple touch and a kindle fire. LOL.

  7. I like getting and giving giftcards. But yah, no gift exchange in my family this year. It's so relaxing not to shop...

  8. I love to get books for any occasion. Our family has a gift exchange for the kids which is only book related. My favorite gift to receive is a bookstore gift card, and now that I have an ereader I don't need to ask for more bookshelves! For me, the holidays really get going with Thanksgiving, but it falls so late this year that I have been stating "early"!

  9. I do like giving books, but sometimes it's easier to give out bookstore gift cards because I don't know what books have or don't have. I have a few items on my wishlist including cashmere gloves and purses.

    1. Cashmere gloves sound lovely! I need a new purse but that's something I'll have to buy for myself. Hoping to take advantage of some of the holiday sales.

  11. I love books as gifts. Since my b-day was yesterday I just got a B&N gift card from my wonderful MIL. She knows how to make me happy and will give me another for Christmas. LOL

I usually give cookbooks or books that include knitting in the story for both her December b-day and Christmas. My hubby also loves to get books as gifts.

  13. I love getting books and gift certificates to buy books any time, they're my favorite gifts. I love giving books as gifts as well. I usually wait until after Thanksgiving before I even start thinking about Christmas, so I'm not in the spirit quite yet. I haven't even thought of a wish list yet, maybe an external hard drive for my computer, that's all I can think of this early.

  15. I love getting books as gifts for birthdays and Christmas and giving them out is fun too. I have so many books on my wish list, I don't think my list will be fulfilled this year (or next year either!!) Lol. I love Christmas so I'm definitely getting into the spirit of the season. Now I'm just waiting for some snow to really get me in the spirit!

    1. I love snow on Christmas Eve. I'm very happy to spend the rest of the year without it. ;-)

  16. I love getting books and giving them. I usually give gift cards to book stores so they can get the ones they want. There are so many I want so I am asking for gift cards.

  17. I like to get books for gifts as long it is by an author I like, but I would prefer a Gift Card. I do give gifts of books, but then again only if I know the person wants the book or I know they will enjoy it. I think you have to know a person a gift of book.

    1. I agree, Kathleen. I buy books if the person asks for that title. Otherwise, it's much safer to go with the gift cards.

  18. I like getting book store gift cards. I can buy what I want. I don't usually give books, though. I tend to give clothes or something I know the person wants.

  19. This is quite an assortment of books! Any book lover's dream!
I give books to children for the holidays, but prefer to give Amazon gift books to adults so that they can pick their own reads.

  20. Awesome prize pack! Thank you so much!!! I love receiving books for Christmas :) But since most of my friends and family are non readers, I'll likely end up with Amazon giftcards. So then I can get the exact books I want.

  21. I always give books and I always get books. Adults usually get gift cards, but the grandkids always get hard cover books. I would love to win all these books!!

  22. Book giving has quite a history in our family... and it would be unusual to receive a book that has not been read prior to the gift by the giver.. yup... we give 'gently used' books in my family!

  24. What a generous giveaway! Thank you!

I love to get books for special occasions. I don't give them as gifts, because most of the people I know like to get their own books.

Sadly, I lost my beloved husband of 39 years to cancer on August 1st, so I am not in the mood for the holidays this year.

  25. I was at a conference this weekend and just got back. Sorry I missed this giveaway. A nice variety of books. Whoever wins will get a special treat.

As for me, my family knows books are a great gift for me anytime. I tend to buy books for most of them on special occasions.
