TOP 10 Things FOREPLAY Can Teach You (because I will never get tired of FOREPLAY puns…)

1) Engaging in no-strings attached make-out sessions with a hot bartender can get
complicated.

2) Always have good friends at your back.

3) Chemistry. Chemistry. Chemistry. Every relationship needs it.

4) The best laid plans usually go awry ... at least in Pepper's case. Usually in Pepper's case.

5) It's about more than making out.

6) It's okay to admit you're wrong.

7) When you're making out with a hot guy, turn your phone to silent. Or better yet. OFF!

8) Bartenders make excellent lovers ... at least if the bartender is yummy Reece.

9) Sometimes love hurts.

And ..... *drumroll* ...... 10) Love makes everything better.

So tell us, readers, what have the books you've been reading taught you?  We have a copy of FOREPLAY to give away to a randomly chosen person leaving a comment today.  (U.S./Canada only)

FOREPLAY
The Ivy Chronicles - Book #1
(Contemporary New Adult)
By Sophie Jordan
William Morrow (HarperCollins Publishers)
November 5, 2013

Before she goes after the life she’s always wanted,
she’s about to find the one she needs.

Pepper has been hopelessly in love with her best friend’s brother, Hunter, for like ever. He’s the key to everything she’s always craved: security, stability, family. But she needs Hunter to notice her as more than just a friend. Even though she’s kissed exactly one guy, she has just the plan to go from novice to rock star in the bedroom—take a few pointers from someone who knows what he’s doing.

Her college roommates have the perfect teacher in mind. But bartender Reece is nothing like the player Pepper expects. Yes, he’s beyond gorgeous, but he’s also dangerous, deep—with a troubled past. Soon what started as lessons in attraction are turning both their worlds around, and showing just what can happen when you go past foreplay and get to what’s real…

    1. Carol, I love those Highlanders too! I'm constantly surprised by the number of Jeopardy answers I know because I've learned them in a romance novel.

That sums up the message of romance novels for me! LOL

Sophie, I enjoyed the 'evolved' dragons in your firelight series so much that I'm wondering if you will revisit this universe soon.

    I do hope so. ;)

  5. What has reading books taught me? That there will never be enough time to read all the delicious books out there that I want to read! (But I'm doing my best--and that's enough, which a book also taught me.)

  9. Hiya, Sophie!! Welcome and congrats on your New Adult debut! I can't wait to read Pepper's story!

Reading has taught me how to escape...even if it's only for a little while. : )

  10. Reading books has taught me that, in retrospect, the popular kids I went to school with weren't that special, and I shouldn't have been so intimidated - I should have just gone for things more, instead of doubting myself. Alas.

  15. Congrats on your new release, Sophie! Romance books have taught me that it wouldn't hurt a real man to read a good romance. Also, there is someone out there for all of us. As my beloved grandma used to tell me: Honey, there are plenty of fish in that thar sea and you will find yours so don't worry.
