Make Your Reservations!

Well, it's time again to mark your calendars and Make Your Reservations for January! We are going to start off the new year with some great books! Here are just a few of the books we are anticipating. Are any of these on your list? If so, which ones? If not, which books are on your list?

The Greatest Lover Ever
By Christina Brooke

THE SWEETEST SCANDAL

Beautiful, exuberant, and stubborn Georgiana Black has more spirit than sense—which she learns when an ultimatum to the Earl of Beckenham at a London ball ends their engagement. Six years later, Georgie is less concerned with impending spinsterhood than with making sure her young sister doesn’t make the same mistakes she did. But soon Georgie stumbles into a scandalous encounter with none other than her former fiancé. Beckenham is still breathtakingly desirable—and as iron-willed as ever...

THE TRUEST TEMPTATION

Beckenham’s brief engagement to Georgie taught him one thing—when it comes to a wife, he wants a woman who will do her duty and cause no trouble. When the fiery Georgie falls unexpectedly into his arms, Beckenham remembers just how lushly delectable she is. Suddenly, the idea of actually marrying Georgie is irresistible. In The Greatest Lover Ever, convincing her will take more than a simple proposal, however. Georgie and Beckenham finally have a second chance at love. But in a battle of wills, can passion conquer pride?

River Road
By Jayne Anne Krentz

It’s been thirteen years since Lucy Sheridan was in Summer River. The last time she visited her aunt Sara there, as a teenager, she’d been sent home suddenly after being dragged out of a wild party—by the guy she had a crush on, just to make it more embarrassing. Obviously Mason Fletcher—only a few years older but somehow a lot more of a grown-up—was the overprotective type who thought he had to come to her rescue.

Now, returning after her aunt’s fatal car accident, Lucy is learning there was more to the story than she realized at the time. Mason had saved her from a very nasty crime that night—and soon afterward, Tristan, the cold-blooded rich kid who’d targeted her, disappeared mysteriously, his body never found.

A lot has changed in thirteen years. Lucy now works for a private investigation firm as a forensic genealogist, while Mason has quit the police force to run a successful security firm with his brother—though he still knows his way around a wrench when he fills in at his uncle’s local hardware store. Even Summer River has changed, from a sleepy farm town into a trendy upscale spot in California’s wine country. But Mason is still a protector at heart, a serious (and seriously attractive) man. And when he and Lucy make a shocking discovery inside Sara’s house, and some of Tristan’s old friends start acting suspicious, Mason’s quietly fierce instincts kick into gear. He saved Lucy once, and he’ll save her again. But this time, she insists on playing a role in her own rescue . . .

Duty demands he keep an eye on her—and naturally, his lips soon follow. For someone who views entanglements as a weakness, this is pure, delicious folly…

The Wedding Favor
By Cara Connelly

Before the wedding

Tyrell Brown wanted to get the hell out of Houston and back to his ranch. Instead, he’s stuck on a flight to France for his best friend’s wedding. To top it off, he discovers he’s sharing a seat with Victoria Westin, the blue-eyed, stiletto-heeled lawyer who’s been a thorn in his side for months.

At the wedding

Victoria can’t believe it! How can she be at the same wedding as this long, lean cowboy with a killer smile? So what if they shared a few in-flight cocktails, some serious flirting, and a near-miss at the mile-high club? She still can’t stand the man!

After the wedding

The wedding disaster’s in the rearview, but the sizzle between these two is still red-hot. They tried to be on their best behavior in France, but back in the States all bets are off . . .

  3. Donna, I have a long list of great January titles on my list. In addition to the Brooke, the Kelly, and the Krentz, I'm looking forward to January releases (novels and novellas) from Kim Law, Lorraine Heath, Cara Elliott, Lily Everett, Juliana Gray, Fiona Lowe, Anna DeStefano, Sabrina Jeffries, and Marina Adair. Then there are the categories--books by Janice Kay Johnson, Diane Gaston, and Trish Milburn at the top of my TBB. And, although they are not romance, I'm joyously anticipating new books from Sarah Addison Allen, Sue Monk Kidd, and Karen White in January. And the January 28 releases are awesome! I think 2014 is starting with a winter storm of great reads.

  4. I'm in for all the historicals. The cover and title of RIVER ROAD look very familiar. I am going to have to do some checking to see if there was a previous book by this title.

    1. I just checked Amazon. The cover reminded me of CURSED by Carol Higgins Clark. The title has been used by many, but the one I was thinking of is by JoAnn Ross.

  7. I find I am constantly excited now that I’m retired and have lots of time to indulge in books and reading. A new month always means new releases! How can life get any better than that? I’m super excited about “Single by Saturday,” “Secrets for Seducing a Royal Bodyguard” and “The Greatest Lover Ever.” Life is GOOD! :-)

  8. Looking forward to Christina's and Vanessa' s books. I'm not sure why but lately I've gotten away from JAK's books. The other three are new authors for me.

I want to read Linda Lael Miller, Debbie Macomber, Susan Mallery and Jill Shalvis too.
