By Kristan Higgins
Is your first love worth a second chance…?
Colleen O'Rourke is in love with love…just not when it

Shadow Spell
By Nora Roberts

his blood, falconer Connor O’Dwyer is proud to call County Mayo home. It’s
where his sister, Branna, lives and works, where his cousin, Iona, has found
true love, and where his childhood friends form a circle that can’t be broken
A circle that is about to be stretched out of shape—by
a long-awaited kiss.
Meara Quinn is Branna’s best friend, a sister in all
but blood. Her and Connor’s paths cross almost daily, as Connor takes tourists
on hawk walks and Meara guides them on horseback across the lush countryside.
She has the eyes of a gypsy and the body of a goddess things Connor has always taken for
granted—until his brush with death
propels them into a quick, hot tangle.
Plenty of women have found their way to Connor’s bed,
but none to his heart until now. Frustratingly, Meara is okay with just the
heat, afraid to lose herself—and their friendship—to something more. But soon,
Connor will see the full force and fury of what runs in his blood. And he will
need his family and friends around him when his past rolls in like the fog,
threatening an end to all he loves.

Four Friends
By Robyn Carr
Gerri can't decide what's
more devastating: learning her rock-solid marriage has big cracks, or the anger
she feels as she tries to repair them. Always the anchor for friends and her
three angst-ridden teenagers, it's time to look carefully at herself. The
journey is more than revealing—it's transforming.
Andy doesn't have a great
track record with men, and she's come to believe that a lasting love is out of
reach. When she finds herself attracted to her down-to-earth contractor—a man
without any of the qualities that usually appeal to her—she questions
everything she thought she wanted in life.
Sonja's lifelong pursuit
of balance is shattered when her husband declares he's through with her New Age
nonsense and walks out. There's no herbal tonic or cleansing ritual that can
restore her serenity—or her sanity.
Miraculously, it's BJ, the
reserved newcomer to Mill Valley, who steps into their circle and changes
everything. The woman with dark secrets opens up to her neighbors, and together
they get each other back on track, stronger as individuals and unfaltering as
friends.

Moonlight on My Mind
By Jennifer McQuiston
To ruin a man's life once
takes a regrettable mistake. To do so twice takes a woman like Julianne Baxter.
Eleven months ago,
Julianne's statement to the authorities wrongly implicated Patrick, the new
Earl of Haversham, in his older brother's death. The chit is as much trouble as
her red hair suggests, and just as captivating. Now she has impetuously tracked
him to the wilds of Scotland, insisting that he return home to face a murder
charge and save his family from ruin. A clandestine wedding may be the only way
to save her reputation—and his neck from the hangman's noose.
Julianne has no objection
to the match. More and more she's convinced of Patrick's innocence, though when
it comes to igniting her passions, the man is all too guilty. And if they can
only clear his name, a marriage made in haste could bring about the most extraordinary
pleasure...

I'm enjoying Vanessa's new series, so I'll be looking forward to Griffin's book. I'm also a big romantic suspense fan, so Laura's upcoming "Far Gone" in on my list.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to read Vanessa's book next, Jane. I can't wait!!
DeleteAny of the contemps you listed.
ReplyDeletepatoct@yahoo.com
LOL! Pat--our contemporary gal!
DeleteWhat a great list. I plan to read the books of several of these authors--James, Higgins, Long, Griffin, and McQuiston.
ReplyDeleteThanks, LSUReader! I hope you enjoy!
DeleteWhat a great list! So many books, so little time. LOL
ReplyDeleteThere's never enough time!
DeleteWhat is truly amazing is that six of the books you listed--the Eloisa James, Kristan Higgins, Julie Anne Long, Robyn Carr, Jennifer McQuiston, and Kieran Kramer all release March 25, along with new books from Meredith Duran, Elizabeth Essex, Julie James, Brenda Novak, and Shannon Stacey. These are just the ones on my list; there are others. I've already read Three Weeks with Lady X, Waiting on You, Between the Devil and Ian Eversea, Four Friends, Fool Me Twice (Duran), Come Home to Me (Novak), and The Day He Kissed Her and enjoyed them all. All the others you list are also on my TBB list. I'm equally excited about Jo Beverley's A Shocking Delight and Sarah Mayberry's Her Kind of Trouble, both April 1 releases and doubly excited (as a reader and a friend) about Terri Osburn's Home to Satay, an April 15 release. Nora Roberts also has another new book releasing the same day as HTS, The Collector, a romantic suspense title that sounds like vintage Nora. April really is going to be an awesome month for romance readers. I'm glad I saved some gift cards. :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I had some gift cards! LOL!
DeleteJanga, doesn't Julie James's come out May 6th? Or does she have a novella coming out?
DeleteApril is indeed an awesome month for romance readers!
Oops! That Terri Osburn title is Home to Stay. I'm having trouble getting fully awake on this rainy Monday.
ReplyDeleteRuh Roh! I thought Home to Stay was a May 1st release. That's the only reason it isn't on this list. I'm very much looking forward to this one!
DeleteI just checked. You are right, PJ; it is May 1. It must have changed since I did my calendar at the first of the year. But I'll look forward to it all through April.
DeleteMay is going to be an awesome month for romance readers, too!
DeleteSo many good ones. I'm looking forward to Vanessa Kelly's because I loved the first story in this series!
ReplyDeleteI hear you, catslady!
DeleteI have five of these already pre-ordered. *LOL* One I got an ARC of; loved; and will still be getting. :)
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing (buy a regular copy) with ARCs that I *love*, Hellie!
DeleteAlmost all of the above! Also, Terri Osburn's Home to Stay.
ReplyDeleteTerri's will most certainly be on our list for May, Sharlene!
DeleteLooking forwardto Julianne Stone and Robyn Carr
ReplyDeleteThese all sound good. It will be a good month. And my Wish List grows. I wish the libraries carried more of the romances. I am running out of room in my house.
ReplyDeleteThey all made my list. My list is ridiculous, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous list. I can't wait to start reading!!
