Coming Attractions

At the beginning of February, I made a comment about looking forward to longer days, warmer temperatures and lots of great books to read. Okay, so at least I got one out of three. The days are getting longer but here in North Carolina we've had two significant snowfalls (unusual for us), broken 100+ year old records for low temperatures and while lots of great books were released over the past month, I've been so worn out from battling injury and illness that I haven't been able to stay awake long enough to read them. To say I'm looking forward to March would be the understatement of the year! lol! Because I really need the time to recover and regain my strength we're going to dial the number of posts and guest authors back a bit this month. We may not have new content every day but we'll still have reviews and a few surprises so we hope you'll check in often but also have patience with our slower pace as I work on getting back up to speed. Thanks for your understanding!

Friday, March 6th brings Andrea's list of new releases for March.

Debut author Wendy LaCapra joins us for a Q&A on Monday, March 16th. Lady Vice, LaCapra's historical romance debut, will be released March 9th.

Joan Kayse brings a bit of the blarney to TRD with a Q&A on St. Patrick's Day, Tuesday, March 17th. Ruarc: Bound by Stone, the first book in Joan's new Guardian Isle series was released February 21st. Who doesn't love a sexy Irish hero for St. Paddy's Day?

It's always an exciting day when the annual RITA finalists are announced. Be sure to stop by Thursday, March 26th to find out if your favorite books have made the finals!

Tuesday, March 31st bring back Dish favorite Manda Collins for a Q&A with PJ to celebrate the release of her new book, A Good Rake is Hard to Find. The first book in her new The Lords of Anarchy series, A Good Rake... has been getting some great advance reviews.

  9. Hi, PJ - I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Blogging can take a lot of effort and it sounds like you need to rest.

We broke a record around here too for cold weather : the average daily temperature in February was 12.3ยบ.

  10. I hear you on both accounts! Temperatures here have been low and wind factor is making it worse and me being sick has not helped knocking down any books off my TBR!
I hope you get to feel better ;)

I just downloaded Joanie's book ten minutes ago!! I think Manda Collins' book sounds good, too.
I think the world of you and Andrea and the wonderful place you have created here. Live TRD! I pop in every day, but don't always have time to comment...or get distracted, then it seems to be too late. :) Thanks again for everything.

  15. Hope you feel better, PJ! It stinks to have bad weather & bad health all at once. We still have a decent amount of snow on LI and haven't seen the ground for at least 6 wks. :(

  20. Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone! Janga and others have been busy reading and writing (thank you!) so watch for some great reviews this month. I managed to stay awake long enough to get halfway through a book today so, hopefully, I'll have some reviews for you before long too.

  22. PJ, I hope you can get back on your feet soon. We live just over the border in TN and it has been a wicked winter. It is so frustrating to be unwell and not able to do either what needs to be done or enjoy what you like. Take good care of yourself. Hopefully, you'll at least be able to enjoy a bit more reading in the near future.
