RWA - - Finally Friday

It's really Saturday but Friday was so jam packed that I was never able to get to the lobby (where the wireless is available) to update the blog.  I did, however, use that time to score oodles of signed  books which we'll be giving away here at the Dish!  I'll write more about Friday's activities when I get home.  Until then, here are some more photos!

Juliana Gray/Beatriz Williams, Karen White and Wendy Wax looking fabulous!

Kristan Higgins and Jill Shalvis at Saturday morning's booksigning.  Love these two!  Kristan gave an incredible speech at Friday's awards luncheon that has us rolling with laughter and mopping up tears.

Our good friends and wonderful authors, Vanessa Kelly and her husband, Randy.  Vanessa writes historical romance under her name and the duo writes contemporary romance under the name of V.K. Sykes.

Historical author, Heather Snow.  Have you read her books?  I highly recommend them.  Her current book, Sweet Madness is one of my top books of 2013!

Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Cathy Maxwell.  Smart, funny, friendly women and fabulous authors!

Afraid that's all for now.  Have to run to my next workshop.  Watch for lots more photos when we get home and some terrific giveaways!

Be sure to watch Facebook and Twitter tonight for the results of the RITA and Golden Heart awards!

Tell me what author you would most like a photo of and if she's here, I'll do my best to capture a shot!

I'll randomly choose one person leaving a comment to win a package of signed books and swag from the conference!

  2. You couldn’t smack the smile off my face when I’m looking at these great pictures. I have been following every blog and Facebook posting I can find to see pictures and comments from everyone at RWA. I would so love to be there and get to meet all of these incredible ladies. Do absorb all that you can so you can tell us great stories when you get back. I’ve read that the wireless situation there is not the best, however, not to worry. Just have fun and get home safely.

  16. Great pictures. Is Julie Garwood there? I don't think I have ever seen pictures of her at a conference. Hers were the very first romances I read which resulted in my love of historical romance.
I attended a conference last month in Colorado. Was great meeting some favorite authors. Unfortunately, the box with most of my books, purchased & give aways and signed & unsigned, has vanished in the mail. The small box mailed at the same time arrived ripped and missing books. My husband is a postal clerk, so I know most employees take good care of the packages in their care, but I am still upset and hope it turns up eventually with the important books still there.

Glad you have had such a good time.

  23. One of the funniest moments of the conference was during the Nora Roberts chat. Every time Nora mentioned Stephen King's name the lights flickered. The chat was wonderful and so were all the workshops.
