  7. 1) What's the last book that made you laugh?
I reread an oldie last night when I couldn’t sleep, Jennifer Greene’s Single Dad (1995). It has a bowling-alley scene that had me laughing out loud at 3 a. m.

    2) What's the last book that made you cry?
I have super-active tear ducts. :) I get teary-eyed while reading a lot of books, but Marie Force’s I Want to Hold Your Hand is probably the last one that had me crying so hard that I couldn’t see the pages.

    3) What book are you reading now?
The Girls of Mischief Bay by Susan Mallery (an ARC).

    4) What was your most recent 5-star read?
Excluding ARCs, A Single Kiss by Grace Burrowes.

    5) What's the next book up on your tbr?
Today it’s True Pretenses by Rose Lerner—and I’m saving tomorrow for Vince and Sadie’s wedding party in Rachel Gibson’s novella I Do.

BONUS: What's your favorite romance sub-genre? (historical, contemporary, etc.)
I love them both. Historicals may have a slight edge since I have more autobuy authors in that subgenre.

  23. Funny enough most of the questions can be answered by the same. The thing is that I just finished reading Captivated by His Kiss Box Set and well, there are different stories there and they kind of took me on a roller coaster of emotions =D

    1) What's the last book that made you laugh? Miss Watson’s First Scandal by Heather Boyd. The innocence of the heroine had me cracking up the whole time.

    2) What's the last book that made you cry? It's a toss up between Targeted by Katie Reus and To Wager the Marquis of Wolverstone by Bronwen Evans. Both heroines are violently raped and every time something like that happens in a story I feel like I want to karate-chop someone!

    3) What book are you reading now? I just started Delirium by Erin Kellison. It's her 5th book in her Reveler series and I LOVE IT!!

    4) What was your most recent 5-star read? Captivated by His Kiss. As a whole set, it was exceptionally good. Of course the reader may feel some stories are better than others but the set as a whole was amazing!

    5) What's the next book up on your tbr? The new release by V.M. Black, Time After Time, Book 4 in her Cora's Bonds Series

BONUS: What's your favorite romance sub-genre? (historical, contemporary, etc.) - Historical and paranormal. I couldn't choose just one!

    3) Currently reading -- I'm about half way through Captivated By His Kiss - I just started Falcon's Bride.
    4) Last 5 star -- Captivated By His Kiss is shaping up to be a 5 star. :-)
    5) Next book on tbr -- Ummmm. I start out with a plan and often don't follow through for various reasons. I haven't even set a tentative next book yet.

Bonus: Historical is my favorite sub-genre.

  28. The last book that made me laugh was Mary Kay Andrews Save the Date. She is always pretty funny! The last book that made me cry was Carla Kelly's historical Falling Softly; the book I'm reading now is Hush by Karen Robards and it is non-stop action! The Five Star rating goes to The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness, I loved the entire series. The next book on my TBR is for a book club and that is Boston Girl by Anita Diamant and my favorite romance sub genres are romantic suspense, historical and contemporary. I switch around among all three but I'm even known to read YA and fantasy. Actually I read almost anything if it has a happy ending!
