  1. I recently finished Barbara Freethy's "Garden of Secrets." I recommend the entire Angel's Bay series. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series. Next up is the SEAL of My Dreams anthology.

  2. I am not reading anything and haven't done so in a while. Hopefully with the semester coming to a close, I will cross some books off my TBR list. ;)

  5. I just finished Mine Is the Night by Liz Curtis Higgs. It's an inspirational historical fiction. Different from what I usually read but in a wonderful way. It's the sequel to Here Burns My Candle. If you like historical stories based in Scotland you might want to check it out :) It's not romance but it features a worthy heroine.

  6. Yay! New books and a couple new authors for me to cuddle up with once the Christmas work frenzy slows down a bit. Thanks, Jane, Eli, Keziah and Na!

Trisha, hope you have fun crossing some of those books off your list over your break!

  8. Good morning, Andrea & Company! Right now I'm reading Tawny Weber's current Blaze, Sex, Lies & Mistletoe, which I definitely recommend, and Teresa Myers' debut, The Hunter, which I'd characterize as a paranormal Western historical with steampunk elements. I'm enjoying it.

I just finished Grace Burrowes' Lady Sophie's Christmas Wish, as well as the books about Sophie's brothers, The Heir, The Soldier and The Virtuoso. I heartily recommend them all. The set would make a great Christmas gift for someone who loves historicals.

  9. I am reading Janet Chapman's Highlander for the Holidays, you have already recommended it...LOL

It jumped the line in my TBR pile so I will either go back to the Georgette Heyer I have been reading for a while or stay off track and go to something else.

  10. I'm reading a mystery right now, Mumbo Gumbo, which I'm enjoying.

I recently finished The Bite Before Christmas by Sands and Frost. The Sands' novella was ok, her typical Argeneau story, pleasant, but not exciting. Frosts" Cat and Bones novella read almost like a full novel and was very good. Neither really had a Christmas theme, despite the book title.

  11. Alas! I'm reading nothing today. I just escaped from the deadline dungeon for a brief lunch break. I'm dying to finish Connie Brockway's The Other Guy's Bride, and I have loads of tempting ARCS and several Kerry Greenwood mysteries, Keziah. But all will have to keep until Wednesday when I will be free to read again.

  13. Good afternoon/morning, all!

Thanks to everyone for all your recommendations. I'm always up for more books to add to my TBB list. ;-)

Right now, I'm reading REAL MEN WILL by Victoria Dahl (only a couple chapters in) while I'm writing a historical review. I would totally recommend the book that comes before it, BAD BOYS DO, if you love a good older woman/younger man story.

  18. I just read and re-read "The Other Guys Bride" and I cannot wait to see her on TRD tomorrow!

Last night I started Diana Gabaldon's "Outlandish Companion" even if you have not yet read the "Outlander" series you will enjoy this book! If you are an Outlander junkie like me, it is a must have!

  19. I am currently reading SEDUCING HIS WIFE by Janet Chapman. It is my third Chapman book in a week. The other two were part of her Highlander series. I love her books and have had these (and several more) stashed on my TBR mountain. They are like potato chips, you can't read just one. I will probably read at least one more before starting my Christmas books, starting with her Christmas book from last year that I bought and didn't get to and her new one this year.

there are so many good books out there and not nearly enough time to read them all, but I'm trying.
