New Releases for November

Wow, our Second Anniversary Celebration was a huge success—thanks in large part to YOU! PJ, Gannon, Buffie and I are truly thankful that each and every one of you took the time to join us and leave a comment. We couldn’t do it without you! And since Thanksgiving is this month (for those of us in the US), I thought we could all talk about things we’re thankful for. So, what are you thankful for today?

I’m thankful that we have so many great books to choose from in November (and every other month)! Which November releases have you read? Of those, which ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to reading? Tell us and one lucky commenter will win a random book from my prize stash!

  1. I have Risky Christmas by Jill Sorenson and Jennifer Morey. I've heard so many great things about Joanna's "The Black Hawk" and I'm excited about Grace's "The Virtuoso."

  2. Wow, there's some great reading coming up, can't wait, so many of these are already on their way or on the To Read list.

  3. I'm looking forward to If You Hear Her by Shiloh Walker and Razor's Edge by Shannon Butcher. But there are lots on that list i'm going to read.

  4. Jane, I picked up The Black Hawk but haven't had a chance to read it yet. Hopefully soon!

  5. Yes, there is, Beebs! We in the romance community are so blessed by so many books to choose from!

  6. Great choices, TrishJ! I've heard wonderful things about Shiloh Walker's books. :)

  7. I hate these new release booklists!!!! The pressure I feel to try and read them all since I like most of the genres listed. I know it's impossible, so many good books, so little time (and money).

  8. November is another great month for books! I'm looking forward to:

    -Scandalous Desires by Elizabeth Hoyt
-The Next Always by Nora Roberts
-Until There Was You by Kristan Higgins

  9. highly recommend The Black Hawk (Joanna Borne) & Scandalous Desires (Elizabeth Hoyt) -- both are great reads. Have A Most Dagerous Profession (Karen Hawkins) sitting here waiting for me to start this week. A couple others sound interesting & may end up on the tbr, but hoping to takle some of that pile before the end of month when some more must haves start coming out again. :)

  10. There are two many books to choose from and they all look amazing. I can't wait to read Karen Hawkins new one.

  11. There's no pressure, Anne! It's just a list to help you choose. :) And I agree--so many books, so little time!

  12. Trisha, I bet you can't wait until Christmas break!

  13. Wasn't Scandalous Desires awesome, gamistress66?! I loved it and can't wait for Hoyt's next book!

  14. Rebekah, that one's on my TBB list, too!

  15. I've already read The Black Hawk – Joanna Bourne, Scandalous Desires – Elizabeth Hoyt, Holly Lane – Toni Blake, Bring Me Home for Christmas – Robyn Carr, Until There Was You – Kristan Higgins, All They Need – Sarah Mayberry. A Home by the Sea – Christina Skye, Christmas in Montana –Kay Stockham, The Comforts of Home – Jodi Thomas, Holiday Hideout – Vicki Lewis Thompson, Jill Shalvis, Julie Kenner, and a few ereleases and reissues not on your list. I enjoyed them all, but The Black Hawk is not only one of my books of the year but also one of the best romances I've read ever.

Already on a TBR shelf (paper or electronic) or on a TBB list are The Virtuoso – Grace Burrowes, Desired – Nicola Cornick, Too Wicked to Wed –Cara Elliott, A Most Dangerous Profession – Karen Hawkins,
Coming Home for Christmas – Carla Kelly, If You Give a Girl a Viscount – Kieran Kramer, A Regency Christmas Carol – Christine Merrill, Highlander for the Holidays – Janet Chapman, The Wedding Quilt –Jennifer Chiaverini, The Next Always – Nora Roberts, The Strangers on Montagu Street – Karen White, Small Town Christmas – Jill Shalvis, Hope Ramsay, Katie Lane, Making Spirits Bright – Fern Michaels, Elizabeth Bass, Rosalind Noonan, Nan Rossiter, and In Close – Brenda Novak. With a big November deadline and Christmas rereads, it may be 2012 before I get to read all of them.

  16. Scandalous Desires (Hoyt,) Until There Was You (Higgins,) and Heart of Steel (Brook) top my list. Thanks for the info.

  17. I'm looking forward to reading The Black Hawk and The Next Always. I checked at both Target and Wal Mart and neither is carrying The Black Hawk. It's a shame that shelf space for mid-list authors is dwindling.

  18. Sabrina Jeffries - To Wed a Wild Lord!

  19. I have the Viper and The Virtuoso should be arriving any day now. Other books I am looking forward to is:
The Black Hawk, Scandalous Desires and If You Hear Her.

  20. I haven't read any of them yet. I have started reading my Christmas keepers since that list is getting huge.

Some of the must buys for me are The Black Hawk by Joanna Bourne, A Winter Scandal by Candace Camp, Desired by Nicola Cornick and A Most Dangerous Profession by Karen Hawkins. There are many more but those are all auto buys for me.

  21. Janga, with as fast as you read, I'm sure you'll read them by the end of the year. :) Good luck with your deadline!

  22. Great list, LSUReader! And, you're welcome. :)

  23. Flesh and Blood by Kristen Painter and Shadow Reader by Sandy Williams I'm most looking forward too! These ladies keep getting crazily good reviews ;)

  24. I hear you, Penfield. I bought mine at my local B&N after looking for it twice at Target. I was really surprised not to find it there. You're right--it is a shame.

  25. I just bought Against The Storm by Kat Martin and I won Missing Mother-To-Be from Elle Kennedy. So many good books coming out and not enough money to buy them. I am really looking forward to reading To Wed A Wild Lord by Sabrina Jeffries when it is released later this month.

  26. Na, when I first read your comment I read "the Viper and The Virtuoso" and did a double take. LOL! Wouldn't that be an interesting book!

  27. Dianna, when I had more time to read for pleasure, I used to do that. I miss those days!

  28. Ooooh, thanks, kara-karina! I'll have to check them out!

  29. Great list! The very first one Never Love a HIghlander by Maya Banks is an awesome read. That series was great love Maya's books.

  30. So many fabulous books but I would like to single out Gwyn Cready's A NOVEL SEDUCTION - a contemporary parady and tribute of the entire romance genre! It will make you laugh, cry, and be glad you are a romance reader!

  31. There are some great books coming this month.
I am reading Joanna Bourne's The Black Hawke at the moment and loving it next up will be Pamela Palmer's new one

I gotta get more time to read LOL

    Have Fun

  32. There are so many great books this month, but I haven't had a chance to read any of them yet. I'm looking forward to these books the most:

Heart of Steel – Meljean Brook
    The Hunter – Theresa Meyers

I have in TBR pie-The Real Werewives of Vampire County, A Bite Before Christmas, and Against The Storm.
My list is huge, but this is part of my wish list and what I would like to buy for myself.
I would love to win any book that you would give me. There a few on my list. Thanks for the chance to win.

  48. I am so under the gun right now with reading that I'll have to pass on the new releases for right now.
I still have about 400 pages to read in my book club book "The Dove Keepers" by Alice Hoffman. And the meeting is on Thursday of this week!
I have also been lucky enough to have received an advance readers copy of Connie Brockway's latest endeavor into Epublishing, "The Other Guy's Bride." It's the sequel to "As You Desire" and I decided to reread that first book in order to be able to comment intelligently on the new one. All I can say now is LOOK OUT!
Anyway I am bookmarking your list of November releases and will look at them ASAP! A special thank you to you PJ!

  49. I'm trying not to look at the new releases because I have too many in my TBR pile.
