New Releases for July

We’re at the halfway point of the year—can you believe it?!?! My family and I had a great vacation travelling to Springfield, Illinois to visit Abraham Lincoln’s hometown. It was a surreal experience to visit and stand where our beloved 16th president lived and worked before he went to the White House. His gravesite is a beautiful memorial to him. Along the way, we also visited the gravesites of four other presidents and are already planning a similar trip next summer. You can call us presidential junkies!

Anyway, between that trip, work, and planning/prepping for RWA in a little over a week, I haven’t had time to do any serious reading…except for maps. LOL! I am dying to read Julie Anne Long’s It Happened One Midnight. Hopefully, I’ll have time to do so soon!

Which July releases have you read? Of those, which ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to reading? Tell us and one lucky commenter will win a random book from my prize stash!

Until August, happy reading!

  7. I haven't read much either for the last month....I don't know if I'm in a slump or what, but nothing seemed to interest me enough to pick it up for long. I have been going to and fro and have had 2 classes in the last month, so maybe my interest will perk up a bit now. I haven't read a Lynsay Sands book for a long time, so perhaps will pick up her new one AEBIS.

  11. I just finished It Happened One Midnight by JAL. I liked it, but not quite as much as I liked What I Did For a Duke and A Notorious Countess Confesses. I'm not sure why this is when there were so many great scenes in this book. Jonathan's interactions with his father and Tommy's story behind the medal were really well-done, but the emotional intensity wasn't quite there for me. I am now reading A Woman Entangled by Cecilia Grant.
