Happy New Year! I
hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday ushering in 2014. Our family had a
great Christmas—the kids got all they asked for. And of course, I got several
gift cards for Barnes & Noble that I will put to good use in the upcoming
months. J I’ll start with this
month as there are several I am looking forward to, including, Boots under Her Bed anthology (I love Jo
Goodman’s books), Hope Flames by Jaci
Burton, Secrets for Seducing a Royal
Bodyguard by Vanessa Kelly, and The
Greatest Lover Ever by Christina Brooke.
Which January releases have you read? Of those, which
ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to reading? Tell
us and one lucky commenter will win a random book from my prize stash!
Until February, happy reading!

I'm looking forward to "Hope Flames," too. Also can't wait to read Jill Sorenson's "Badlands." I'm about to start Vanessa's "Secrets for Seducing a Royal Bodyguard."
ReplyDeleteSecrets for Seducing a Royal Bodyguard is next up on my list too, Jane. I'm really looking forward to this one.
DeleteMe, too, Jane! Hope Flames has been delayed and I am so ready to read it!
DeleteI haven't read any of these yet. Just added all of the Historical reads to my list.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it, Mary!
DeleteI haven't read any of t hese yet, I got gift cards for Christmas but haven't had time to sit down and get an order together. I love my Kindle but this whole instant gratification spoils you when the books you want aren't out yet.
ReplyDeleteI bet, Dianna! I have tried to read on my Nook that my husband got me last year, but I only enjoy short stories on it. I still prefer to have the books in my hand. :)
DeleteHappy New Year! I haven't read any of January's releases since I am always behind on my reading but I am looking forward to reading Before Jamaica Lane by Samantha Young and Hope Flames by Jaci Burton.
ReplyDeleteYay! Another one looking forward to Hope Flames! I hope you enjoy it, Maureen!
DeleteSo many excellent options!
ReplyDeleteI want to read:
Secrets for Seducing a Royal Bodyguard – Vanessa Kelly
Secrets of a Gentleman Escort – Bronwyn Scott

Wish I had an unlimited amount of money to spend.
Marrying the Cowboy – Trish Milburn
Big Sky Secrets – Linda Lael Miller
Let Me Be the One – Bella Andre
Turn Up the Heat – Lori Foster, Christie Ridgway, Victoria Dahl
Laurie, my TBR list used to be as long as yours, but I just can't read that fast so I've had to cut it down to include ones that I NEED to read....which is long enough. LOL!
DeleteReally really looking forward to Alexis Morgan - More Than a Touch - this is the 2nd in the series.
ReplyDeleteAlso:
Let Me Be the One - Bella Andre
Hope Flames - Jaci Burton
PS - I haven't read any on the list yet.
Ooo! Thanks for the rec, Pat!

Catherine Bybee's Single by Saturday
Lots of good reading to kick off the new year!
You've got that right, PJ!!
DeleteI haven't had the privilege of reading any of the historical romances featured yet. I have such a huge weakness for them. Here are the ones that I would love to read:-

Oh, Diane, I have a weakness for historicals, too. They were my introduction to romance and I haven't looked back. :)
DeleteLooking forward to these wonderful books!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it, Connie!
DeleteFrom Rags to Riches by Louise Allen
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it, jcp!
DeleteAs always, I go for the historicals first! I am currently reading a Grace Burrowes and I love everything she writes. My next book on my tbr pile is Vanessa Kelly's Secrets for Seducing a Royal Bodyguard. I've not read her but I just know I'm going to enjoy it! A new year - oh the possibilities!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you think, catslady! I have a friend who looooooooves Grace's books, too. ;-)
DeleteThis month seems better for me can't wait for Tuesday and Hope Flames... there were no romance/suspense listed this month ....Happy reading all!!!
ReplyDeleteDonna
deerdoe, I listed the romantic suspense in with contemporaries and paranormals. Sadly, there aren't too many of them!
DeleteI’m really behind on my reading. I’ve read only If Wishes Were Earls, Elizabeth Boyle; How to Master Your Marquis, Juliana Grey; Boots under Her Bed, Jodi Thomas, Jo Goodman, Kaki Warner, Alison Kent; More than a Touch, Alexis Morgan; Sweetest Mistake, Candis Terry; Everywhere She Goes, Janice Kay Johnson; Sweet Nothings, Kim Law; Snow Day, Shannon Stacey, Jennifer Greene, and Barbara Dunlop; and The Fireside Inn, Lily Everett, all of which I enjoyed. I have almost fifty books on my list for January, so I still have some major reading to do. I’m especially looking forward to The Greatest Lover Ever, Christina Brooke; Secrets for Seducing a Royal Bodyguard, Vanessa Kelly, When the Rogue Returns, Sabrina Jeffries; and Lily Everett’s other Sanctuary Island stories. Some of the books I am most eagerly anticipating this month are not romances: Return to Tradd Street, Karen White; The Invention of Wings, Sue Monk Kidd; The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches, Alan Bradley; and Lost Lake, Sarah Addison Allen.
ReplyDeleteThis is a timely discussion for me since I’m working on my blog post for tomorrow on the books I’ll be reading January through June of 2014.
Janga, how did you like Boots under Her Bed? I can't wait to read it!
DeleteLooks like a great list here. Love the historicals.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Quilt Lady!
DeleteI see several books in the list that I would like to read. Yeserday I read a review of Elizabeth Boyle's If Wishes Were Earls and I plan to put it at the top of my 2014 list.
ReplyDeleteMan, I haven't read any of these yet, but I'm looking forward to reading a lot of them. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI do have The Bad Boy Billionaire's Wicked Arrangement by Maya Rodale and plan to start reading it tonight. ;)
Marcy Shuler
