Coming Attractions

It feels like September flew by, doesn't it? Thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate my birthday. Spreading it over the entire month really helped to soften the blow of this particular milestone. ;-) Now it's on into October, one of my favorite months of the year, and it's going to be a busy one here at The Romance Dish.

Leading off the month on Friday, October 1 is a review of The Devil's Own Duke by Lenora Bell. This second book in Bell's Wallflowers vs Rogues, historical romance series is another winner.

Saturday, October 2 brings Hellie's review of Miss Lattimore's Letter by Suzanne Allain, a historical romance that garnered Hellie's highest rating.

We're turning our focus to Hanukkah on Monday, October 4 with my review and a giveaway of The Matzah Ball by debut author Jean Meltzer. This charming and heart-tugging romcom is an absolute delight.

Tracy Solheim joins us on Tuesday, October 5 with a guest post and giveaway of her upcoming contemporary romance, Second Chance Christmas. This new book takes readers back to Chances Inlet, North Carolina for another journey to love with the McAlister family.

Lorraine Heath's newest historical romance, The Duchess Hunt, is the focus of my review on Wednesday, October 6. As usual with Heath's books, I had a hard time putting this one down.

If you're a Hallmark Christmas movie fan, be sure to stop by on Thursday, October 7 to read my review of A Royal Christmas Fairy Tale by Karen Schaler, a sweet romance in a fairy tale setting.

It's more Christmas on Friday, October 8 with a review and giveaway of the historical romance anthology, Mistletoe Christmas, written by Eloisa James, Christi Caldwell, Janna MacGregor, and Erica Ridley.

I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one asking Santa for my very own Swedish hockey goalie after meeting Erik Jorgenson in Kate Meader's Rookie Rebels holiday novella: Rebel Yule. Stop by Saturday, October 9 for my review.

Christmas books seem to be our theme this month. Visit us on Monday, October 11 to read my review of The Christmas Village, the newest installment in Annie Rains' heart-tugging Somerset Lake, contemporary romance series.

We're traveling to Mistletoe, Maine on Tuesday, October 12 with a review of No Ordinary Christmas by Belle Calhoune. I have fallen in love with both this picturesque small community and her residents. Looking forward to more trips to Mistletoe!

Wednesday, October 13 brings a review of The Vanished Days, the standalone third book in Susanna Kearsley's historical fiction Scottish series.

On Thursday, October 14 we're heading back to the panhandle of Florida for my review of the fourth book in Leigh Duncan's Sugar Sand Beach series: The Reunion at Sugar Sand Inn. If you enjoy heartwarming stories with mature characters, check this series out.

Friday, October 15 brings a review of Romancing the Holidays, Vol. 2, a collection of holiday short stories from Florida's First Coast Romance Writers.

We're going back to the Florida Keys with a review of Meg Cabot's No Words on Saturday, October 16. This is the third book in Cabot's Little Bridge Island, contemporary romance series.

We're bringing All the Feels on Monday, October 18 with my review of Olivia Dade's newest romcom. I've been looking forward to this one since turning the final page of Spoiler Alert. *Rescheduled to Friday, October 22

Kimberly Kincaid's newest, The Grifter, is the subject of my review on Tuesday, October 19. I'm eager to dive into this new romantic suspense story in Kincaid's Intelligence Unit series.

Join me on Wednesday, October 20 when I share my thoughts about Second Chance Christmas by Tracy Solheim.

Breezie Bennett takes readers back to South Florida with the first book in her new Maid in Miami, sweet romantic comedy series. Stop by for my review of Messing with the Billionaire on Saturday, October 23

We're off on another adventure with Sarah Morgan's newest holiday women's fiction novel, The Christmas Escape. Stop by Monday, October 25 to read my thoughts about this heart-tugging story that takes readers from London to Lapland.

Visit us Wednesday, October 27 when I share my thoughts about Naima Simone's Christmas in Rose Bend. Here's a hint: I haven't stopped raving about it since I read an advance copy of the book. Twice.

We'll be wrapping up the month on a suspenseful note with a review of The Last Goodnight by Kat Martin on Thursday, October 28. This thriller launches a new series: Blood Ties, The Logans.

Whew! Like I said, it's going to be a busy month!

What are you looking forward to in October?

  8. Wow, what a line-up. Several favorite authors and some new to me authors with books that sound good. All the historical books appeal as do most of the contemporary books. I will have to figure a way to read Christmas books while watching Christmas movies.

  11. Exciting line-up of books this month. Lots of my favorite authors listed this month. I look forward to lots of stuff in October. My son's birthday is the 15th. Plus several books by some of my auto-buy authors have books releasing this month. Just finished Cheers to the Duke by Sally MacKenzie. Also just finished The Yuletide Kiss, a Christmas anthology from Sabrina Jeffries, Madeline Hunter and Mary Jo Putney...excellent stories! Stephanie Laurens has a book coming out on the 19th. I'm sure there are a few others coming out before the end of the month. And of course Halloween. I live in a Seniors only apartment bldg so no kids running around looking for treats but that doesn't stop people (me included) from putting a candy dish on a shelf outside my door filled to the brim with tasty treats for my Older friends. We are just kids at heart!
