Cover Reveal and Giveaway - - The Reluctant Countess

The Reluctant Countess
by Eloisa James
Publisher: Avon
Release Date: November 2022

Giles Renwick, Earl of Lilford, has never made a fool of himself over a woman—until he meets Lady Yasmin Régnier. Yasmin is ineligible for his attentions in every way: not as a wife, certainly not as a mistress (she is a lady!), nor even as a friend, since they vehemently dislike each other.  Her gowns are too low, and her skirts are dampened to cling to admittedly lovely thighs. She loves to gossip—and giggle.

She isn’t dignified, or polite, or even truly British, given that her father’s French ancestry clearly predominated. Not to mention the fact that her mother had been one of Napoleon’s mistresses, a fact she makes no effort to hide.

So what—in heaven’s name—possesses him to propose?

And what will he do if she says yes?

Have you read the first book in Eloisa James' new Would-Be Wallflowers series yet? How to be a Wallflower was released March 29th and is garnering rave reviews, including Santa's 5-star review here at The Romance Dish (click to read).

Today, it's my pleasure to share with you the beautiful cover for book two in the series: The Reluctant Countess. Aren't those colors gorgeous? And just look at Yasmin, our next heroine. She's lovely!

The Reluctant Countess will be released in November but is currently available for pre-order at your favorite online book buying site.

  3. I pre-order SEP's and Sherry Thomas's books - all others I usually either wait to buy or first try at the library before giving in to the need to hold a forever copy in my desperate hands. I love Eloisa James, so I usually succumb and buy hers fairly soon after publication day although I haven't read How To be a Wallflower yet.

  5. I would love to read "How to be a Wallflower" but my request was declined on NetGalley. So disappointing especially since I have been a member since 2011 maintaining a 90 % average and nearly 1,300 books read and reviewed. Oh my, "The Reluctant Countess" sounds delightful. If it's on NetGalley, I will request it and hope to be approved this time.

  6. I have not read "How to be a Wallflower" as yet. Sometimes I preorder and sometimes I wait. There are times where I love a particular author and will preorder or if it's a book that the money is going to charity. In other cases, it may be because I don't hear about a new book coming out until after the fact. Thank you for a chance to win.

  7. Haven't read How to be a Wallflower yet - but I know I will eventually. I haven't pre-ordered a book yet - I'm usually trying to catch up on series already out.

  9. Already read Wilde Child and enjoyed it and have Wallflower but haven't read it yet. I don't always get to read in the right order lol. As long as a series doesn't have cliffhangers, I'm good with that now.

  10. I LOVED How To Be A Wallflower!! I preorder a lot of books, but not all of them - I do love finding sales. I'm weird about waiting until an entire series is out before starting it sometimes, but that doesn't keep me from preordering the books in the series.

  11. Wallflower is supposed to be delivered to me today or tomorrow. And the cover for the next book is absolutely gorgeous. Every now and then I do pre-order books. It is generally because the author is someone I idolize.
I have some authors who I would personally sit on their front porch and wait for the next book. But, I believe that is considered bad taste so I hold myself back.
Hope everyone is enjoying their sunny Wednesday.

  17. I'm late to this party but I don't care. I did read the Wallflower and loved it--and I was so hoping for something between Lilford and Yasmin. Those two were hilarious in the Wallflower book. Pre-ordered!
