The members of Georgia Romance Writers know how to throw a great party and the Maggie Award ceremony never disappoints. We love the gorgeous gowns, the fabulous shoes, the rockin' DJ and, of course, the highlight of the evening: the announcement of this year's award winners. We were thrilled to be in Atlanta last night to share in the excitement and especially to celebrate those friends who took home the coveted Maggie. Here are a few candid shots from the 2011 GRW Maggie Awards evening.

People certainly were dressed in style and it was a blast! Love all the shoes and I must say, I had a pretty sparkly pair myself. Great photos ladies!

Hated that I couldn't stay to dance the night away (Stoopid migraine)but love the pics of you all dancing. It doesn't LOOK like the Hustle but I'll pretend. Da da da da dada, "Do the Hustle" (imagine Joanie spinning....imagine Joanie grabbing her knee...imagine Joanie calling for Motrin)
Love you all!
It was so much fun sharing the conference with four of my favorite ladies! And you gals really know how to dance up a storm, too. And kudos to the Georgia Romance Writers for such a great event!

By the way, I'm trying to get back on a sensible diet, but I keep staring at the homemade chocolate P.J. made for us. I still have half a bag left.

I'm not sure. I've thought about attending Spring Fling one of these years. I could combine it with a family visit. (I have oodles of family in that region.)
Did you know that the RT (Romantic Times) Book Lovers Convention will be at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare April 11th - 15th 2012? Conference registration is a little pricey but they have a huge booksigning that's open to the public.
Vanessa, it was such a thrill to be there when you won your Maggie. I still grin when I think of it! :)
ReplyDeleteVanessa Kelly said, By the way, I'm trying to get back on a sensible diet, but I keep staring at the homemade chocolate P.J. made for us. I still have half a bag left.

I love looking back at pictures and remembering the fun time, and this past weekend was filled with fun times!! From chatting with all the wonderful authors to watching sweet friends win the Maggie to dancing the night away with everyone. It was a blast!!
ReplyDeleteJanga, we sure missed you there!! Maybe next year? Julia Quinn will be the keynote speaker.
ReplyDeleteLove all the shoes and I must say, I had a pretty sparkly pair myself.
ReplyDeleteKellie, I didn't see your shoes that night, but I do remember your dress. You looked great!

ReplyDeletedoedeer69, I have heard so many great things about the Spring Fling. I would love to attend sometime, just not sure it will be this coming year. Have you ever attended?
It was so much fun---still trying to recover from lack of sleep. *g*
ReplyDeleteGannon, I hear you!! Even with our late night dancing and early morning yesterday, I was the last one in my house to go to sleep last night. I need a day or two of straight sleep.
Yowza!! What a fun-loving group you all are!
ReplyDeleteLOL, DalilaG! One thing you can say about us Dishies -- we love to have a great time!!
I LOVED seeing the Dishes and all my other friends. Thanks for taking such a great pic, PJ. I wore this same dress to a party last Dec. but never took a picture in it. Now I have one!

Everyone looked fabulous!
