One billionaire bad boy in search of a short-term girlfriend to close a major business deal. One analytical relationship coach looking for a test subject to prove her dating theories. He makes a bet with her that he’ll never fall in love…and it just might be the wildest gamble of his life.

Jayson Vice: When I find out I have the chance to buy a landmark casino in Las Vegas, I plan to close the deal for the Vice empire. But the owners are dead set on selling to a couple, so I need to find myself a serious girlfriend, and fast. Only problem is…I don’t do serious. But then I meet Haley Ambrose, a relationship expert who wants to turn me into a month-long experiment to test her “fool proof” techniques. I’m willing to bet that I’m not the fool who’ll fall in love, but this Love Doctor has some steamy strategies. Before I can even get her to Vegas, I’m starting to worry that with this woman? All bets are off.

Haley Ambrose: As a relationship expert, I can spot a commitment-phobe across any crowded bar, and I tell my clients to run far and fast. But some ladies just can’t resist a challenge, so I’ve been working on a guaranteed approach to reel in the most elusive catches on the dating scene.  But I need to test the hypothesis that I can make any man fall in love. Then Jayson Vice lands in my lap and confesses he needs a temporary girlfriend, and I know I’ve found a sexy subject for my research. But I never expected the experiment to backfire and now I might lose a bet…and my heart.

PJ's Thoughts:

Breezie Bennett continues to up her game with each book she writes. This one just might be my favorite so far.
Jayson Vice is a rich, cocky, unapologetic playboy I had already pegged as my least favorite Vice brother after reading book one, The Billionaire's Big Game. And then along came his story in The Billionaire's Big Gamble and dang if he didn't leap to the head of the pack and become my favorite. All it took was one relationship expert who believes in facts (no "magic of love" for this lady), one bet, and some surprising results for both Jayson and Haley to discover there's more to love, and to each other, than either thought.
With charm, wit, sass, and sizzle, Bennett brings these characters to life on the page. I loved the chemistry between Jayson and Haley (so hot) but she balances that with sweet, tender moments of discovery, laughter, and genuine friendship. Both characters are so much more than how others perceive them with layers even they don't realize they have at the beginning of their relationship. It was fun to watch Haley begin to realize there's more to love than facts and brackets. And to watch Jayson begin to embrace his tender side and accept his vulnerability with her was pure pleasure. And if that wasn't enough, his interactions with Haley's young nephew sealed the deal that this sarcastic man about town had a sweetness and caring nature at his core that not even his family suspected.
Family is also at the heart of this book. I love the dynamic of the Vice family. The competitiveness, loyalty, jockeying for position, and love among the siblings brings authenticity to these characters and their family. That love and loyalty also shines brightly for Haley and her sister and nephew. It makes me want to hang out with these people and get to know them all better. It also ties my emotions to their happiness. I'm already invested in all of them and eager to discover what future adventures in love Bennett has planned for them.
If you haven't discovered Breezie Bennett's books yet but are looking for a summer read that will have you laughing, sighing, and begging for more, check out The Billionaire's Big Gamble. It's book two in her The Miami Vices series but stands well on its own.
