Fall Back in Time

This year one of my favorite holidays (Halloween) is followed by one of my least favorite days of the year: the end of daylight savings time when we turn our clocks back one hour. Today is not one of my favorite days. I'm a creature of sunlight and warmth. While I enjoy the cool crispness of autumn, I am not a fan of the bone-chilling cold of winter. The day we turn back the clocks is not a day I celebrate. In fact, to be completely honest, it's a day I usually sulk. Believe me, when I really put my mind to it, I can sulk with the best of them and I was fully prepared to do so. Then I got an email from historical romance author Vanessa Kelly (Have you read her books? They're wonderful!) and suddenly November 1st wasn't a day to be dreaded. Thanks to a group of Historical Romance authors who invite readers to Fall Back in Time with Historical Romance, November 1st has become a day to celebrate! Here's how it works...

Take a selfie reading (or with) a favorite or recently read Historical Romance. Here's a selfie of my dog, Rachel with my all-time favorite comfort read, Saving Grace by Julie Garwood.

Post your selfie to social media sites today, November 1st beginning at 10:00am. I posted this picture on my Facebook page but you can also post to Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc.

Be sure to use the hashtag #FallBackinTime.

Also post your photo to the Historical Romance Network Facebook Event page

Here's Andrea sharing some selfie love for Elizabeth Hoyt's Darling Beast. Mmmm...love that book!

Spread the word about our love of Historical Romance through your tweets and posts. Let your creativity shine or choose one of the following generic messages:

#FallBackinTime to your first historical romance! (photo)

#FallBackinTime with this historical romance! (photo)

#FallBackinTime Look, it’s me in the [middle ages/regency era/etc] (PJ loves traveling to the Middle Ages with Monica McCarty's characters!)

If I could #FallBackinTime, it’d be to this book, this era: (photo)

Where would you #FallBackinTime to? I'd go here: (photo)

My favorite time machine is a book. #FallBackinTime (photo)

Escape with a historical romance #FallBackin Time. I do! (photo)

Hope you all will join us today as we fill the world with Historical Romance love. What book will you choose?

  3. I can't remember the password for the email on my phone. I could take a picture of me buried in my TBR Mountain, most of which are historicals, but I can't send it.
