New Releases for April

It’s the first day of April and also Friday, so it’s time for my list of New Releases! No foolin’! So, let’s see... I’ve read The Sweetest Thing by Jill Shalvis and loved it!! Her Lucky Harbor series is one of my absolute favorites. I have also read Erin McCarthy’s The Chase and enjoyed it as well. I love her sexy NASCAR drivers. I’m currently reading the debut book by Cheryl Ann Smith, The School for Brides, and really liking it. One book I am looking forward to reading is My One and Only by Kristan Higgins. She never disappoints!

Which April releases have you read? Of those, which ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to reading? Tell us and one lucky commenter will win a book from my stash!

  2. I have just added a monumental number of books to by reading list. I haven't read any mentioned yet. I must quit my job & just read I think.

  3. I am currently reading Kerrelyn Sparks' VAMPIRE MINE & loving it!
Next on my list is Gaelen Foley's MY IRRESTISTIBLE EARL. And there are so many more that I will be reading including CLAIMED BY THE HIGHLANDER & ETERNAL RIDER.

  4. I haven't read any of these books yet but there are a lot I am looking forward to
again I need to retire LOL

    Have Fun

  5. I am reading It Happened One Season now. It is going to take a few buying trips to get all that I want from this line up.

  6. I am looking forward to Jill Shalvis' new book and Lecia Cronwall's book looked good too.

  7. So many wonderful books coming out this month. I'm going to have to work all month to earn enough money just to support my book buying! lol!

  8. Jane, I've read Hummingbird Lake and it's terrific!

  9. I must quit my job & just read I think.

Great idea, Marybelle! Except then I wouldn't be able to afford the books! lol!

  10. I am currently reading Kerrelyn Sparks' VAMPIRE MINE & loving it!

Glad to hear it, June. That's on my tbr.

  11. again I need to retire LOL

Maybe I could retire after winning the lottery, Helen. That would be lovely and give me the money I need to support my book habit. Oh, and if I won the lottery, I could also come visit all my Aussie friends!

  12. I am reading It Happened One Season now.

Really enjoyed that anthology, Dianna. I so wish Candice Hern was still publishing single titles. I really miss her writing.

  13. Maureen, I'm looking forward to reading the Shalvis book too. It's getting rave reviews, including the one here by Andrea.

I highly recommend Lecia Cornwall's Secrets of a Proper Countess. Fabulous book!

  14. I'm definitely looking forward to Nora's Chasing Fire. Unfortunately, I haven't read any of the April releases yet because I'm still working on my TBR pile! But this is a great list of books, and there are definitely some I want to check out. But the ones on the top of the list for me are Sarah MacLean's Eleven Scandals, and Maya Rodale's Tale of Two Lovers, though I think they are technically May releases.

  15. This looks like a great month for new releases... I read Night Road, (omg so good) Hummingbird Lake and now am reading Already Home. I havePeach Keeper, 4 Ms Bradwells, Goodbye Quilt, Driftwiid Cottage, and Knitting Diaries here on my tbr pile. Some I want are: Into the Night (borders still doesn't have it) Chasing fire and shiver of Fear...Happy Reading all!

  16. I am most looking forward to the books by Kristan Higgins and Jill Shalvis. Can't wait to read them! :)

  17. I am up in snowy Ct. for the weekend with a loaded Kindle! The Sweetest Thing is ready to go. I am not loving It Happened One Season. Not Laurens and Balogh's finest! Has anyone heard of Ava Stone? I checked her out on an Amazon rec. She has a series of four and the first one is A Scandalous Wife. Great reviews on Amazon. Looking forward to the Eileen Dreyer and the Mary J. Putney. My non Romance reading is The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown and The Peach Keeper.

  18. haven't read anything yet but either have or awaiting the arrival of:
Secrets of a Proper Countess – Lecia Cornwall
Never a Gentleman – Eileen Dreyer
My Irresistible Earl – Gaelen Foley
Too Sinful to Deny – Erica Ridley

  19. I'm looking forward to so many books. Cheryl Ann Smith's debut sounds exciting, as well as Lecia's. Then there's Anna Campbell, JR Ward, Emily March, Eileen Dreyer.

Oh, my poor wallet. I'll end up in debtor's prison at this pace. lol

  20. Nora Roberts Chasing Fire.
I am waiting for Darien Gee's Friendship Bread Kitchen.

  21. Sorry I'm late, all! I had a very busy day at work.

Jane, I really need to add Emily March's books to my list. I love those type of stories!

Hey, sounds like a plan, marybelle! I may come join you. *g*

  22. I adore Gaelen Folly's books, June!! One of my favorite's is THE DUKE.

LOL, Helen!! You'd definitely have more time to read then!

Dianna, I bought that one on Wednesday and can't wait to find time to read it!

  23. Maureen, you will LOVE Jill's newest!!

PJ, now you know why I work now! Haha! And I agree--I wish Candice Herman was still being published, too!! I loved her story in the Mammoth Book of Regency Romance. It was my favorite!

  24. Don't feel bad, Lisa, I'm still working on my TBR pile, too. I don't think I'll ever get through it, but it sure is fun trying!

Great list, deerdoe69! I hope you enjoy them!

I can't wait for you to read them either, Trisha!

  25. I haven't read any yet, but there's lots to look forward to, among them:
Chasing Fire (Nora Roberts,) Alien in the Family (Gini Koch,) The Sweetest Thing (Jill Shalvis,) The Vampire Voss (Colleen Gleason,) and the It Happened One Season anthology.

  29. I can't believe it but I haven't even started reading my "April" books yet! I'm still trying to finish up my March TBR list.

The three at the top of my April list are My Irrestible Earl/Galen Foley, The Bride Raffle/Lisa Plumley and A Borrowed Scott/Karen Ranney.

The book I'm looking forward in coming montlate this month is Cloudy With A Chance of Marriage by Kieran Kramer which has a release date of April 26th so I'd better get started on the books above fast. Don't you love Kieran's titles. This is her third book and if you haven't already read her stories run don't walk to the bookstore and buy her first 3 books!

  30. I haven't read any of these yet but I have already ordered:
    - "The Chase" by Erin McCarthy
    - "Ravenous" by V.K. Forrest

  32. Tell me about it, Jeanne! I am so far behind on my reading, it isn't even funny.

Oh, and I love Kieran's books and their titles. Look for Cloudy on next month's list! ;-)

  33. Sheree said: - "Mesmerized" by Lauren Dane because Paul Marron look so hot on the cover.

Sheree, I couldn't agree with you more...which is exactly why I included it with the list! *g*

Breaking The Rules by Suzanne Brockmann which I have on my shelf.
Where She Went by Gayle Foreman which I had to preorder.

  40. OMG! So many new books to add to my TBR pile. But I've spent most of April's book budget on Operation Auction. It was worth it though. :)

  41. I am looking forward to Highlander’s Curse, Lover Unleashed, Vampire Mine and Red Mortal. I have read The Darkest Secret by Gena Showalter and loved it!

  42. I don't feel so bad, that my TBR pile is so large, obviously I'm not alone. :) I haven't read any new April books yet, but reading all these titles & I think I'm going to have to run out to the store and accumulate some more.
