Monday, August 16 brings Hellie's review of Battle Royal by Lucy Parker

I'm back on Tuesday, August 17 with a review of Farrah Rochon's The Dating Playbook. Rochon's The Boyfriend Project was one of my favorite books of 2020. I liked this second book in the series even more.

Wednesday, August 18 brings a review of When You Wish Upon a Duke by Charis Michaels. I'm loving these fairy-tale inspired historical romances.

I'm always sad to say goodbye to a good series but Maggie Robinson sends her Lady Adelaide Mysteries out on a high note with Farewell Blues. Visit us Thursday, August 19 for my review.

Stop by Friday, August 20 for my review of A Duke Worth Fighting For by Christina Britton. This third book in the Isle of Synne, historical romance series is a keeper.

Christi Caldwell makes her mass market paperback debut with Along Came A Lady. On Monday, August 23 I'll be sharing my thoughts about this historical romance that launches a new series. The prequel novella, It Had to Be the Duke, is available for download now.

Don't miss my review of I'm Only Wicked With You (don't you love that title?) by Julie Anne Long on Tuesday, August 24. This new historical romance is the third book in Long's Palace of Rogues series.

Anne Gracie launches a new historical romance series with The Scoundrel's Daughter, a book that delivers not one but two romances and happy endings. Stop by Wednesday, August 25 for a review and Q&A with the author.

On Thursday, August 26, I'll be sharing my thoughts about The House on Sunshine Corner, a second-chance, contemporary romance by Phoebe Mills

I'm back on Friday, August 27 with a review of True Love Cowboy, the third book in Jennifer Ryan's McGrath's trilogy. Expect emotional romance and intense suspense as Trinity McGrath finally finds her happily ever after.

Join me on Monday, August 30 when I share my thoughts about Not Playing Fair, the second book in Terri Osburn's new NOT rom-com series.

We round out the month on Tuesday, August 31 with a debut novel. Stop by to read my thoughts about The Paris Connection by Lorraine Brown, a contemporary rom-com that takes readers on an adventure through the City of Light.

  1. I am currently on vacation visiting family. It is wonderful, we haven’t been able to see each other for nearly two years. I am looking forward to lots of get togethers with both old friends and family members for good meals and catching up. I had been anticipating the Lucy Parker book but was not aware that another of Maggie Robinson’s Lady Adelaide’s books was hitting bookshelves! Very neat!

  3. Lots of good ones this month and I'm into a variety of genres now so this is great. Karen Rose's book looks intriguing and I'm sure a page turner. No plans for us but I'm doing a lot more reading - yay.

  5. I always look forward to the new historicals, but I'm particularly anxious to read Maggie Robinson's "Farewell Blues". I've read all the others in the series and have a little crush on Rupert. I'm sad this this is the last book in the series.

  8. First of all, thanks for all the introductions to so many wonderful books. I was blessed to be able to read Farewell Blues. I have loved every book in this series and this was the perfect ending. But, I will miss Addie and Dev but most of all Rupert. He is a hoot.

I am looking forward to The Scoundrel's Daughter by Anne Gracie. Actually, when I look at the list again nearly every one of the books is one I would love to read.

Y'all do it to me every time....make me feel that there are even more books I "must" read.

Hope everyone is well and safe and happy.

  11. A number of these interest me, especially Christie Caldwell's and Anne Gracie's. I am currently reading an ARC of Wait for It and loving it. Terri Osborn's book is on my radar and I would love to read The Paris Connection. No travel or vacation plans. We will be celebrating my granddaughter's second birthday in about 10 days. Hope all is well with you PJ.

  15. Another great line-up for the month. You have a nice selection of historical romances and several contemporary books that sound interesting. Thank you so much for you and your crew's reviews and bringing these books and authors to our attention. I have some interesting books on my TBR pile and am trying to find the time to get to them. Next book up will be either a suspense or a medieval Highland romance.
Right now we are fighting weeds that got ahead of us in the gardens. We have an Air Force reunion in September and a memorial service for a relative who died during the COVID lock down. We haven't visited relatives in 2 years so the October trip for the memorial service has turned into an at least 2 week swing through New England to visit friends and family. This of course will happen if we don't go into quarantine mode again. We are vaccinated and mask, but especially around here, few others have done either.

    Stay cool, safe, and healthy.
