New Releases for December

The cold weather is upon us here in the northern hemisphere . . . which means I’m ready for Spring. Okay, okay, I do enjoy curling up under a nice warm blanket while reading a good romance, but still. I am not a fan of freezing cold weather. Give me shorts, a tank top, and flip flops any day. But, December does feature my favorite holiday, Christmas. I just love Christmas! It fills me with such joy to watch my kids’ faces light up as they open their presents. It also is a day that my husband is always off and we spend the entire day with my family. I almost always receive books and/or bookstore gift cards, so I’m a happy camper. :) What are some of the best presents you’ve ever received?

And once again, it’s time for new releases! Which December releases have you read? Of those, which ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to reading? Tell us and one lucky commenter will win a book I picked up from this year’s RWA conference!

Until January, happy reading!

  2. Andrea

I too love Christmas and of course here in Oz it is warming up although we have had a week of rain and today was very humid. One of my wishes is to spend Christmas with my family of course in the Northern hemisphere at least once LOL.

Over the years I have had many special Christmas's and lots of wonderful presents and as I now have 5 grandchildren the best is watching them with their presents on Christmas morning nothing better.

There are some great books being released this month and there are a lot on my wish list I do hope I get some gift cards to get them. I haven't read any of them yet.

    Have Fun
    Helen

  6. Helen, I couldn't imagine it being sweltering hot during Christmas. I used to live in Florida and there were days when we could wear shorts in December, but it was never extremely hot. Does the weather ever affect your baking?

And I can totally relate about watching kids open their presents. There is just something really quite special in that. And that's exactly why I have a camera attached to my wrist the entire day! LOL

  7. Jane, I've had several people (including the other Dishes) recommend Jo's Firestation series and I've yet to read them. Hopefully someday...so many books, so little time... :)

  10. Wow, another great list of releases coming out this month! So far, the only one high on my list at the moment is KC's The Duke's Night of Sin. I am also looking forward to Laura Lee Guhrke's Wedding of the Season and JQ, Eloisa, and Connie Brockway's The Lady Most Likely coming out at the end of the month, but I think they are technically Jan. releases. But right now, I am just trying to catch up on my TBR list-I'm just now starting Lisa Kleypas's Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor!

As always, thanks for putting this list together for us, Andrea! :)

Oh my gosh, tell me about it. I now have two TBR piles. One is my "regular" TBR pile (which is for books that I'll eventually get to) and the other is my "immediate" TBR pile (which is for those that I must read at my earliest convenience). ;-)
