*******

Married by Morning by Lisa Kleypas

For two years, Catherine Marks has been a paid companion to the Hathaway sisters—a pleasant position, with one caveat. Her charges’ older brother, Leo Hathaway, is thoroughly exasperating. Cat can hardly believe that their constant arguing could mask a mutual attraction. But when one quarrel ends in a sudden kiss, Cat is shocked at her powerful response—and even more so when Leo proposes a dangerous liaison.

Leo must marry and produce an heir within a year to save his family home. Catherine’s respectable demeanor hides a secret that would utterly destroy her. But to Leo, Cat is intriguing and infernally tempting, even to a man resolved never to love again. The danger Cat tried to outrun is about to separate them forever—unless two wary lovers can find a way to banish the shadows and give in to their desires...

Ten Things I Love About You by Julia Quinn

Ten Things You Should Know About This Book

1. Sebastian Grey is a devilishly handsome rogue with a secret.

2. Annabel Winslow's family voted her The Winslow Most Likely to Speak Her Mind and The Winslow Most Likely to Fall Asleep in Church.

3. Sebastian's uncle is the Earl of Newbury, and if he dies without siring an heir, Sebastian inherits everything.

4. Lord Newbury detests Sebastian and will stop at nothing to prevent this from happening.

5. Lord Newbury has decided that Annabel is the answer to all of his problems.

6. Annabel does not want to marry Lord Newbury, especially when she finds out he once romanced her grandmother.

7 is shocking, 8 is delicious, and 9 is downright wicked, all of which lead the way to

10. Happily. Ever. After.

My Reckless Surrender by Anna Campbell

Headlong into sin . . .

A well-practiced rake, weary of easy conquests and empty pleasures, Tarquin Vale, Earl of Ashcroft, knows women—and his every instinct warns him to beware of this one. Diana Carrick's brazen overtures have thrown the haunted, sinfully handsome lord completely off his guard. Why, the exquisite temptress stated outright that she wishes to be his lover. But it is neither Diana's boldness nor her beauty that intrigues him so—it is the innocence he senses behind her worldly mask.

Intent upon the seduction that will finally free her, Diana has set her sights on the notorious Ashcroft—never dreaming that there is much more to the enigmatic rogue than sin and deviltry. His kiss is bewitching, his caress intoxicating—and even the dangerous secret Diana must protect cannot shield her from Ashcroft's dark allure.

Unwittingly yet most willingly, they are playing with fire. Now the fuse has been lit and there is no escape . . . except surrender.

The Forbidden Rose by Joanna Bourne

A career is blooming...

A glittering French aristocrat is on the run, disguised as a British governess. England’s top spy has a score to settle with her family. But as they’re drawn inexorably into the intrigue and madness of Revolutionary Paris, they gamble on a love to which neither of them will admit.

Web of Lies by Jennifer Estep

Curiosity is definitely going to get me dead one of these days. Probably real soon.

I'm Gin Blanco.

You might know me as the Spider, the most feared assassin in the South. I’m retired now, but trouble still has a way of finding me. Like the other day when two punks tried to rob my popular barbecue joint, the Pork Pit. Then there was the barrage of gunfire on the restaurant. Only, for once, those kill shots weren’t aimed at me. They were meant for Violet Fox. Ever since I agreed to help Violet and her grandfather protect their property from an evil coalmining tycoon, I’m beginning to wonder if I’m really retired. So is Detective Donovan Caine. The only honest cop in Ashland is having a real hard time reconciling his attraction to me with his Boy Scout mentality. And I can barely keep my hands off his sexy body. What can I say? I’m a Stone elemental with a little Ice magic thrown in, but my heart isn’t made of solid rock. Luckily, Gin Blanco always gets her man . . . dead or alive.

One Dance with a Duke by Tessa Dare

A handsome and reclusive horse breeder, Spencer Dumarque, the fourth Duke of Morland, is a member of the exclusive Stud Club, an organization so select it has only ten members—yet membership is attainable to anyone with luck. And Spencer has plenty of it, along with an obsession with a prize horse, a dark secret, and, now, a reputation as the dashing “Duke of Midnight.” Each evening he selects one lady for a breathtaking midnight waltz. But none of the women catch his interest, and nobody ever bests the duke—until Lady Amelia d’Orsay tries her luck.

In a moment of desperation, the unconventional beauty claims the duke’s dance and unwittingly steals his heart. When Amelia demands that Spencer forgive her scapegrace brother’s debts, she never imagines that her game of wits and words will lead to breathless passion and a steamy proposal. Still, Spencer is a man of mystery, perhaps connected to the shocking murder of the Stud Club’s founder. Will Amelia lose her heart in this reckless wager or win everlasting love?

Seven Secrets of Seduction by Anne Mallory

Scandalous and provocative, The Seven Secrets of Seduction is an intoxicating insight into the mind of men and the desires of women—and the book has all the ton talking.

Secret #1: Every good seduction begins with a baited hook . . .

Well-educated, but not part of society, Miranda Chase is just as captivated by the erotic pages as everyone else in London. Intrigued by the layers she sees beneath the book's surface, she writes an editorial about it, never realizing that her passionate words will draw an actual viscount to her uncle's bookshop.

Maximilian, Viscount Downing, has very particular ideas about passion and sees truth only in desire. He freely flaunts his sensual power and seeks nothing more than another conquest—the one that could justify his entire debauched existence. But Miranda's blend of innocence, trust, and love cause a strange thing to happen on the way to this seduction. Something that just might threaten the very fabric of his jaded heart . . .

When Marrying a Scoundrel by Kathryn Smith

A lady must be prepared for anything . . . when marrying a scoundrel.

Sadie Moon once thought she was in love. Then her dashing husband left her to seek his fortune, and she had no choice but to transform herself from a heartbroken waif into London Society's favorite fortune-teller. But even she could not have foreseen Jack's return—until their paths cross in the last place either would have expected: London's most exclusive house of pleasure.

Now wealthy and successful, Jack Friday has everything he'd ever dreamed of . . . except Sadie. He swears he will never trust the woman who broke her promise to wait for him, though his passion for her burns as hotly as ever before. But love, like the past, comes back to haunt them—drawing them into a web of intrigue and betrayal that could save or destroy them both.

Sugar Creek by Toni Blake

Welcome to Destiny, Ohio—where two families have been at odds as long as anyone in town can remember.

Rachel Farris returned to her childhood home with one mission in mind: get Mike Romo out of her family's apple orchard business and out of their lives. But hard-nosed and totally hot Mike, who happens to be the law in Destiny, is convinced the Farris clan stole the land from his family fifty years ago and he's not backing down. Even when shapely trouble shows up in a pair of designer blue jeans. However, neither the hunky cop nor the sexy prodigal hometown girl can anticipate the electricity that heats things up whenever they're together—adding new sizzle to an ongoing feud that's raged for generations, and soon putting both their hearts at risk.

Oh, and Lisa doesn't disappoint!

The next one on the list has to be My Reckless Surrender by Anna Campbell! I can't wait!

  15. If you would have asked this a couple weeks ago I would have said Lisa Kleypas, I am still looking forward to this book. But I have read my first Anna Campbell book, Captive of Sin, and have a new favorite. Can't wait for her books and if I am not lucky enough to win a copy I will be at the bookstore picking it up as soon as it is released.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Only one? Are you sure we can only vote for one from this tempting list?
Okay, if I can only name one it would have to be MY RECKLESS SURRENDER by Anna Campbell as I have loved all her books!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Choose one? Impossible! I'll be raiding my piggy bank to buy my must-have books for June. I must say the very thought of June reading leaves me jubilant.

Your list looks a lot like my mine. To the Blake, Bourne, Campbell, Dare, Kleypas, Mallory, Quinn, and Smith books--and I am eagerly anticipating them all--I add His at Night by Sherry Thomas, Honeysuckle Summer by Sherryl Woods, The Irish Warrior by Kris Kennedy, Tempting the Marquess by Sara Lindsey, Crush on You by Christie Ridgway, and Tempting Eden by Margaret Rowe. And these are just the end of May-first of June releases. I have at least another ten I can't wait to read that will be out before June is over.

  18. One book? Ohmyyyy, how can anyone pick just one? Sigh. Okay … I adore this writer’s work, so I’ll pick

  19. My June "buy" list looks a lot like Janga's. I've been lucky enough to have read ARCs of some of these books and they are fabulous!

The two books that I'm most looking forward to (that I haven't already read) are Married by Morning (Love the Hathaways!) and Ten Things I Love About You. (Can't wait to get my hands on Sebastian's book!)

For those of you eagerly anticipating the books by Anna Campbell, Joanna Bourne, Tessa Dare and Jennifer Estep: They will all be visiting with us here at The Romance Dish in June! Check out our "Coming Attractions" blog on May 31st for specific dates.

  27. With so many wonderful books coming out in June, I am going to go broke. I am highly anticipating almost every book listed here. If I had to pick just one book, it would be Married By Morning by Lisa Kleypas. I loved reading about Leo and Catherine in the last couple of books, and now I cannot wait to read their story. Lisa Kleypas just has a special gift for creating heroes that I love.

    Happy reading everyone,
    Lori Ann

  35. I'm definitely looking forward to Married by Morning and 10 Things I Love About You. In fact, I called my local bookstore yesterday, just to make sure they'd have it in for me by release day. Great picks Andrea! :)

I'm also looking forward to getting NR's Black Hills in paperback. I got it from the library when it came out last July, but I so can't afford a hardcover, so I always wait for the pb. Plus, they're easier to store on my bookshelves anyway. ;)

I've become a fan of Tessa Dare recently, so thank you for the heads up about her next book. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I can't believe how many books I am looking forward to in this June lineup. It's been a dry reading season for me lately but it looks like I'd better use my May free time to clean the house and clear the decks because I am going to be doing nothing but reading next month.

Hope you enjoy your reading next month, Clarisse! ;-) Thanks for stopping by!

  44. We can pick only one? That is hard. It is a three way tie with the first three books. Three favorite authors.
I drew lots, that was the only way I could choose. I drew MARRIED BY MORNING by Lisa Kleypas.
You have a great lineup scheduled. I look forward to the reviews.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I have to have the Kleypas, Campbell (love that cover), Bourne and Quinn books for sure. To pick just one is so hard, it's Married by Morning, I've been waiting so long for Leo and Cat's story.

  46. I want them all, it's so hard to choose. But the book I'm most looking forward to is Julia Quinn's Ten Things I Love About You. She's such a fantastic writer, and her books are an auto buy for me.

    ReplyDelete
  47. LOL, librarypat! I think a lot of people have a three-way or four-way or seven-way tie! LOL It really is a good month, isn't it??

Hey, Pam! I know! I've wanted them to be together from the beginning, but especially after reasing TMAT. LK really left us hanging!!

Barbara, from the moment I first read JQ's books she became an auto-buy author for me, too. Thanks for stopping by!

  48. I'm looking forward to Sandra Hyatt's third book, HIS BRIDE FOR THE TAKING. I loved her first book and thought I'd "like" her second book. Nope. I loved loved loved her second book, so now I want to see if the trend continues!
