I haven't read any of the books listed yet, but I'm most excited about the new releases by Susan Andersen, Kate Brady, Jeanne Adams, Heather Graham and Monica McCarty.
ReplyDeleteSeveral books interested in this month:
ReplyDeleteThe Viking Takes a Knight -- Sandra Hill (should arrive tomorrow or Saturday-just in time for the long wknd yeah :D)
Seduced by a Highlander -- Paula Quinn (sitting here waiting for me to open)
Bound to a Warrior -- Donna Fletcher
Never Trust a Rogue -- Olivia Drake
Much Ado About Marriage -- Karen Hawkins
I haven't read any of the September books yet but I'm really looking forward to the following:
ReplyDeleteThe Viking Takes a Knight -- Sandra Hill

When Blood Calls -- J.K. Beck
Midnight Crystal -- Jayne Castle
Demon From the Dark -- Kresley Cole
Born to Bite -- Lynsay Sands

The Darkest Edge of Dawn -- Kelly Gay
I recommend any book that Sandra Hill, Jayne Castle, or Lynsay Sands writes. I read Embers by Laura Bickle, and I'm sure Sparks will be just as fabulous.
It's still early days in September and I haven't read any yet. But I'm really looking forward to:
ReplyDeleteChivalrous Captain, Rebel Mistress -- Diane Gaston
Maybe This Time -- Jennifer Crusie
Born to Bite -- Lynsay Sands
1022 Evergreen Place -- Debbie Macomber
Burning Up -- Susan Andersen
I have read Olivia Drake, in fact I have been waiting for her next offering so glad to see it is coming out in October. I have already gotten Karen Hawkins Much Ado About Marriage for the Kindle and going to get Tawny's Riding the Waves. Once again I see bankruptcy in my future but I don't care, just for fun and I added up all the authors that I already know and love 23! That isn't even counting the ones I want to try. I need another job but then I won't have time to read, sorry son, there is going to be a lot of chicken and hamburger in our diet this month..LOL
ReplyDeleteSo many to choose from! It's a great month for romance. The ones I can't wait to get are Liz Carlyle's newest: One Touch of Scandal--the beginning of her new series!
ReplyDeleteAnd Sabrina Jeffries A Hellion in Her Bed--the second book of her Hellions of Halstead Hall series.
Plus Kelly Gaye's second release just hit the stores. Man, it's going to be a good month!
I picked up Teresa Mederios and Karen Hawkins latest, but haven't started either yet. I'm hoping we don't lose power in this storm, since I would love to be able to curl up and read!
ReplyDeleteOh, and totally can't wait for the ones Deb mentioned too!
ReplyDeleteWow great lineup!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to look for Paula Quinn, Jenna Peterson, Tracy Anne Warren- historicals.
Susan Anderson, Susan Mallery, Debbie Macomber and Carly Phillips -contemps
I read HOT ISLAND NIGHTS already. Mayberry's writing is always superb, this time around she's tackling a serious topic: post-traumatic stress so I felt the story was not as romantic as some of her past ones.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to Maya Banks' new one and I have the new Jen Crusie & Monica Burns ordered already!
LOL, SiNn!! There are so many good ones, aren't there?!? I hope you enjoy the ones you get. :)
ReplyDeleteJane, I've had several people recommend Susan Andersen's books to me, but haven't read them yet. One of these days...
Great list, gamistress66. I am looking forward to Donna Fletcher's and Karen Hawkins's, too!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, Teresa Medeiros is always a "must buy" for me, and I'm also looking forward to Zoe Archer's!
Hi, Kirsten! Diane Gaston's is on my TBB list. I read and really enjoyed the first in the series! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, Dianna! There is nothing wrong with chicken and hamburgers!!
*waving* Hi, Deb!! One of these days, I need to read a Liz Carlyle. I know, I know.... *hangs head in shame*
ReplyDeletecail, I've picked up both of those, as well, but haven't had the time to start them. Hopefully soon! :)
Hey, Laurie! I have Jenna's and Tracy's in my TBR pile. :-D
ReplyDeleteScorpio, I just finished Monica's and it was great! I hope you enjoy it!
I haven't read any September books yet. But I do have Cruel Enchantment by Anya Bast and Paranormalcy by Kiersten White on there way to me.
ReplyDeletei'm also looking forward to
The Darkest Hour-Maya Banks
Born to Bite-Lynsay Sands
The Beast Within
Nocturnal
Vampire Trinity-Joey W. Hill

As always, thanks for putting this list together every month, Andrea!
ReplyDeleteI just got my hands on Diane Gaston's Chivalrous Captain, Rebel Mistress, and I'm looking forward to diving in.
For fall, I'm definitely looking forward to the more comfortable temps too. And yes, sweet potato pie! A friend of mine makes an amazing sweet potato pie and I've been constantly bugging her to hook me up. ;)
This is the first fall season when I don't have to go back to school, so this is a bit of an adjustment for me since I've finished my education. I'll just be going to work-welcome to the real world for me! But good luck to your kids, Andrea. Hope they're enjoying the new school year.
Many September releases interest me. Tops on my list are Born to Bite (Sands), Love Me if You Dare (Phillips,) and A Hellion in Her Bed (Jeffries). That last one isn’t on your list, but Amazon has it as a Sept. 21 release. (Sure hope so!)
ReplyDeleteI haven't yet read any of these books but there are some that will be added to my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteLove & Hugs,
Pam

Hey, Karyn! Thanks so much for letting me know! I've added it to the list. LOL about anything with plaid!!
ReplyDeleteelaing8, I have heard lots of good things about Paranormalcy! I hope you enjoy it!
It's my pleasure, Lisa. :) My mom makes a really great sweet potato casserole, though I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes. Everyone else in the family LOVES it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing your education!! My kids are really enjoying the school year so far, thanks. :)
Hi, LSUReader! Yes, Sabrina's upcoming will be released on September 21st. Since it is considered an October release, I'll have it on next month's list. ;-) I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it, Pamela! :)
I’ve already read The Devil Wears Plaid, Burning Up, Finding Perfect, and Body Heat. I’m currently reading Susan Holloway Scott’s The Countess and the King, and I have another dozen September titles either on my TBR shelf or on my TBB list. The one I’m most eager to read is Crusie’s Maybe This Time. It's been a long time since Bet Me. But I can’t find MTT locally. I have to decide if I want to drive into the city and get it more quickly or order it online, which is slower but more convenient. Decisions, decisions!
ReplyDeleteAnd, Andrea, please note this month I refrained from mentioning all those September 28 releases--a l-o-n-g list of can't-wait-to-read books--that you count as October and I count as September ('cause I will have read at least some of them before October 1). :)
I've read Body Heat and I'm looking foward to Killer Heat.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that most of the books I'm reading are the last in the series. I guess I have to find some new series to read!
Wow. So many good releases. ^^ I've actually read a few of them. I've read "Last Dragon Standing, Plain Kate, & The Beast Within". The first two mentioned was great. The last... it was more fun to make fun of the book than to read it. Basically i can sum it up as "the rape story, the porno, and the magical vagina".
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to a lot of the historical's and YA's this month though. ^^
Melissa
I haven't read any September books yet but there are a bunch I want to read including stories from Anne Stuart, Caroline Linden and a whole bunch of others.
ReplyDeleteI've read Seduced by a Highlander and absolutely loved it!! I also want to read Bound to a Warrior, I love Donna Fletcher's books. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteinthehammockblog at gmail dot com
I haven't read any of the Sep releases yet but I'm looking forward to the following:
ReplyDeleteThe Vengeful Bridegroom by Kit Donner
Chivalrous Captain, Rebel Mistress by Diane Gaston
You Only Love Once by Caroline Linden
The Devil Wears Plaid by Teresa Medeiros
The Unclaimed Duchess by Jenna Petersen
Wicked Delights of a Bridal Bed by Tracy Anne Warren
My Lord Scandal by Emma Wildes
Claiming the Forbidden Bride by Gayle Wilson
I'm on the fence about Jenna Petersen's new direction with Married with Zombies written as Jesse Petersen. Will have to wait and see about that one.
I can't wait to read Carly Phillips Love Me If You Dare.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't have it listed, but I'm looking forward to reading Courtney Milan's, Trial By Desire. It will be interesting to see what's become of Ned since Proof By Seduction ended. Then on October 1 (that's close enough to September) comes Dark Road to Darjeeling by Deanna Raybourn.
ReplyDeleteI would love to read them all. I am looking forward to reading The Viking Takes a Knight by Sandra Hill. Gotta love her Vikings. I also want to get my hands on Love me If You Dare by Carly Phillips.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, look at all those book!!! I really need to win the lottery. Seriously. I can't work and read all of these!!!
ReplyDeleteFunny you mentioned sweet potato casserole because I had some today. It was yummy!!! ;-)
Forgot to mention that I ready HER PRIVATE TREASURE last weekend and totally loved it! Best Wendy Etherington book I have read so far!!! Be sure to pick it up.
ReplyDeleteJanga, isn't ordering online convenient? Plus, not only do they have free shipping, but free express shipping! Can't beat that!
ReplyDeletesuebooks, if you like reading series books, you are at the right place. We LOVE series books here at the Dish!!
LOL at Melissa!!!!! Oh my gosh, that is funny! Thanks for the warning. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi, Maureen! I have read a few of Caroline Linden's books and really enjoyed them.
Hey there, Carrie! I'm really looking forward to Donna's book, too. It has a really interesting premise!
ReplyDeleteKaren H, you always have a great list! I bought Married with Zombies by Jesse Petersen and can't wait to start it. It looks to be really funny and that appealed to me. :-) Let me know if you read it!
runner10, one of these days I'm going to read a Carly Phillips book. I adore straight contemps.
ReplyDeletePenfield, I'll have Courtney's listed next month as it's considered an October release. And it's on my personal list!!
Hi, gigi! I hear you--wouldn't we all love to read them all! I wish I read faster...
ReplyDeleteOoooh, thanks, Buffie! I plan on picking Wendy's up on my next trip to the bookstore. ;-)
LOL, Artemis. Of course, when I wrote this blog, we actually had a couple of "cooler" days (read: low-mid 80s) and this week we're back up to the 90s. Sigh. Great list!! And I can so relate about the bookshelves: mine are over-overflowing!
ReplyDeleteThis fall I'm looking forward to the harvest from the garden.
ReplyDeleteI haven't yet read any Sept new releases.
I'm looking forward to reading:
The Devil Wears Plaid -- Teresa Medeiros
The Mists of Time -- Susan Squires
Assassin’s Heart -- Monica Burns
Seduced by a Highlander -- Paula Quinn
What great choices!
ReplyDeleteI've read:
"The Viking Takes a Knight" by Sandra Hill has lots of experiments with honey and beeswax as possible contraception (there's more to the book than that though).
"You Only Love Once" by Caroline Linden is a lot of fun with a kickass heroine who is a spy.
Anne of "The Unclaimed Duchess" by Jenna Petersen really should knock some sense into Rhys' fool head but otherwise a good story.
I want to read:
"Love Me If You Dare" by Carly Phillips as I like Sara Rios from the previous book.
"Clockwork Angel" by Cassandra Clare although I'm looking forward to the book after this one.
"Midnight Crystal" by Jayne Castle because it's the last one in the trilogy and I want to find out what happens when the midnight crystal lights up.
"Primal Instincts" by Susan Sizemore because I like the model on the cover (liked him since Vanessa Kelly's "Sex and the Single Earl").
cories119[at]yahoo.com
i haven't read any of those books, yet (try to get my luck on winning on several blogs in future ^_^ if they do have the giveaways though)
ReplyDeleteAnd i would really like to read :
Chains of Fire -- Christina Dodd
Deadly Little Secrets -- Jeanne Adams
Paranormalcy -- Kiersten White (Paranormal)
and i guess you miss this book which will be released on Sept 21st,
The Replacement, Brenna Yovanoff
Thanks so much for including SPARKS on your list! I hope you enjoy. :-)
ReplyDeleteBOUND TO A WARRIOR is at the top of my Wish List. It is my perfect escape read. There are so many good books on this list. With so many books coming out every month, it is hard to keep up with them all.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the cooler weather Fall brings. Good reading weather.
So many I want, as usual. Someone mentioned Demon from the Dark by Kresley Cole - loved it, one of series favorites. New author for me is Kathryn Johnson, Gentlemen Poet looks interesting, and I like the title.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Reckless by Ann Stuart after liking the first in the series, and Medeiros, Paula Quinn, Linden, Squires, Zoe Archer, and Jayne Castle, Alyssa Day, Claire Delacroix, Addison Fox, Kantra, Kenyon, Eve Silver, Treanor.
So far, have now to read - GA Aiken's Last Dragon Standing and the Tracy Warren, Lynsay Sands and Kelly Gay.

what can I say, it's like choosing between children! But I have to pick one and that would be "The Queen’s Captive" by Barbara Kyle. See, I read Ms. Kyle back when her original historicals were sold as romances. I knew her books were quality and I hoped she would write more. I repurchsed them when they were renamed and put in trade editions. They are about religious intolerance and the hurtful things that are done in the name of God. While I don't agree with her conclusions, I think her questions are important and something we should have the courage to address. But most important, her books are extremely entertaining! To put it plainly, Ms. Kyle is one great author.

I can not wait to read Sandra Hill's newest book The Viking takes a Knight. I love all of her books. She always writes with such humor and her characters are so real with flaws and all.
