New Releases for May!

Ah, May is here. I have mixed feelings about the month of May. I love that the flowers are in full bloom and summer is almost here, which means I can take my kids to the pool and sleep in most mornings. But it also signifies the end of another school year for my kids, which always leaves me feeling a bit sad. Thank goodness I have some great new May releases to brighten up my mood! Which May releases have you read? Of those, which ones do you recommend? Which ones are you most looking forward to? Tell us and one lucky poster will win a random May release!

  3. Andrea, Andrea, Andrea! You've done it again. I'm so grateful for this list every month, I don't know what I'd do with out it.

I've read several books on the list - Savor The Moment, Lover Mine, Impulsive and Anywhere She Runs. I'm feeling lucky that this month several of my favorite authors have releases. I'm in the middle of reading Rule's Bride and so far I'm turning the pages.

The books I can't wait to get my hands on are:
Never Less Than a Lady - I love Mary Jo Puntney's first book in the Lost Lords series - Loving a Lost Lord, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

I'm also looking forward to reading Christine Feehan's Wild Fire - the Leopard series is very raw and the alpha heroes are off the charts; I just can't get enough of this one.

I just ordered Stormwalker - and I'm very excited to read it. I loved Allyson James' alter ego's book(aka Jennifer Ashley)The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie so I'm very curious to see what she does with urban fantasy. I've heard great things about it.

I guess I'm going to be reading non-stop this month - perhaps outside by a body of water sipping a cold drink. I hope you find some time to do the same!

  4. Hello! Thanks for posting such a huge and eclectic list!

I would appreciate just about any of those books, but when I saw Susan Mallery's name, I knew that would be "the one". I have read 200-300 books every year for over 35 years now and then I pass them on to girlfriends when I'm done, but one of Susan's books was my first "keeper". I re-read it every few years. (With my poor memory, it seems like a new book, LOL!) So, Susan Mallery's CHASING PERFECT would be my choice!

  5. so many choices. "sex & the single earl" "a lady's guide to improper behavior" "never less than a lady" & "ravished by the highlander" would be included on my May release list.

  6. Another month with bountiful reading treasure, Andrea! I've already read eight of these: Never Less Than a Lady -- Mary Jo Putney, Burning Lamp -- Amanda Quick, Mistress by Mistake -- Maggie Robinson, Nothing But Trouble -- Rachel Gibson, Hannah’s List -- Debbie Macomber, Chasing Perfect -- Susan Mallery, Savor the Moment -- Nora Roberts, and Sweet Tea at Sunrise -- Sherryl Woods. I enjoyed all of them, and Mistress by Mistake and Never Less Than A Lady were both five star reads for me. I'm reading Wicked Becomes You by Meredith Duran today with Suzanne Enoch's A Lady’s Guide to Improper Behavior and Barbara Freethy's In Shelter Cove to follow.

I'll be looking for four more tomorrow: A Secret Affair by Mary Balogh (I've been waiting for Con's story since the first Huxtable book); Sex and the Single Earl by Vanessa Kelly, which I know I love because I was privileged to read an earlier draft of it; Sweetest Little Sin by Christine Wells (I've been waiting forever for Louisa and Jardine's story); and On Folly Beach by Karen White, one of my favorite women's fiction authors. Then later this month, there will be Heart of the Matter by Emily Giffin and
Still the One by Robin Wells. From start to finish, May's a great month for this reader.

  7. I've read & LOVED, Rachel Gibson's NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. It got a well-deserved 5 star rating here , as well.

Currently, I'm reading Charlotte Featherstone's, SINFUL. I'm not a big reader of erotica but this one caught my attention because it seemed to be very character-driven and I am devouring it. Trying to slow my reading pace a bit so that I savor the words. Excellent.

  8. I haven't read any of them either but I will. I have a few of them on pre-order so they should be heading my way very soon. I know that Rule's Bride by Kat Martin is on the way as we speak.

Mary Balogh, Candace Camp, Suzanne Enoch, Vanessa Kelly, and Rachel Gibson are all auto buys for me. Plus many others, I am addicted, that is all I can say.
